True. And I find it disturbing that small children are given mobile phones. And after a conversation this weekend with my teen daughter, my new thing I find disturbing is when Gen-X parents don't introduce their kids to 80s pop culture. (There are levels of "disturbing.")

Yeah, I tried to Google it too with no luck. If you find it, post it to my profile page. I love Matt Groening!

I have only had chicken, turkey, and duck, but would try robins or quail. Honestly, I'd eat any bird if it was cooked right, or I'm hungry.

Cows are yummy. And even though I put pigs with cats & dogs, so far as intelligence goes, I eat them too. Because bacon.

Are you saying I look like a dolphin?

Time for a new doctor maybe? That advice is pretty ancient.

For my husband and me, it is. We were not able to sleep together for several months at our old house because there was not access to heat in our bedroom and the landlord wouldn't fix it. We were finally able to move, but it drove us crazy. He was on the couch, and I was on a cot. It did affect our intimacy, even though we…

The OP indicates that she wasn't going to take the meds that were prescribed. I could be wrong, but I interpreted it as, "I've not started taking them." But yes, if you have been on any antidepressants for more than two weeks, you will want to ween off. Some can be very detrimental to your brain chemistry if you abruptly…

Here's a good link for the studies that have been done: http://nccam.nih.gov/health/stjohnswort/sjw-and-depression.htm Some people have found that St. John's Wort works much better than prescriptions. If you are able to find a counselor or therapist, that would help a lot. Let them know how you feel about anti-depressants.…

For me it goes like this: Humans > Primates & Dolphins > dogs & cats & pigs & horses > other mammals > birds, fish reptiles > insects and gross-looking creatures Why? Intelligence/Reason

Blame the IRS, not the poster.

Yep! Exercise is the best thing a person can do to combat insulin resistance.

Other lives are precious, just not as precious as humans. And honestly, some lives aren't so precious, imo. If you step on an ant, do you hold a funeral?

I think I was about 98% sure on my wedding day. I've always been the type to act first, then ask questions. :smokin:

http://www.irs.gov/Tax-Professionals/Tax-Code,-Regulations-and-Official-Guidance ^^^ Still exists (See also: http://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?path=/prelim@title26&edition=prelim) If my husband and I were not married, we'd get about 30% of the refund amount that we have been receiving. http://www.ssa.gov/pgm/survivors.htm…

So you don't live in America?
-
Yeah, I'm confused too. Two people loving each other, and in a committed relationship, and took care of some legal paperwork for tax purposes. What is sad about that? That we have an income tax at all? (I feel that) ...Or that normal Americans respond to the tax code by obtaining legal papers to protect their families?
-
If you don't know the OP personally, this seems a rather dogmatic opinion.
-
+1 I can respect the feelings behind, "We don't need a piece of paper." But TBH, without that license from the state, you *will* be in a legal bind without a pot to piss in should anything happen to your partner. (People don't often realize it, but this is the *real* reason that the LGBT community have been fighting for…

So true! Our wedding rings are sterling silver with semi-precious stones. It's a symbol. Our wedding cost about $150, including the permission slip from the state. It will be twenty years for us in July. :drinker:

I don't think that having a piece of paper has anything to do with a relationship. The piece of paper is only to simplify your life, in terms of taxes, insurance, etc. The divorce then, contrariwise, is simply to undo that process. They can be either amicable or "nucking futs," but that's dependent on the relationship, and…

I have had jobs where I wasn't allowed to get online and some where I have been allowed. I try to follow my employer's rules so as to keep my job. I definitely appreciate free, which is why I try to abide by the ToS, even if I think that rule is silly. I also think it's silly that certain words might be…
