  • I absolutely believe you can do this. I've been running for a few months and have ran a few 5k's and working toward a 10k. I think if I got out there and just started running, I could do it. I say go for it, it's not like you can't walk a little. Let me know how it goes
  • sparkrecipe.com is amazing!!
  • I've been logging everyday since mid January. There are definately days that my schedule gets in the way. My suggestion is to not dwell on a day that you don't make it to the gym, and continue the next day. Even if you start walking in place or doing some sit-ups or something during commericals will eventually add up. You…
  • totally looks wonderful....bump
  • I used to HATE running. Now, I'm addicted. I just started running in January and adjusted my eating and started getting serious about this website. I've tried gyms, I always find excuses not to go. I can't run on the treadmill, I have to do it outside. I tried running in the mornings, but it's too dark before I go to work,…
  • I use the nike+ sportsband but I don't follow any programs on there yet. I am in the middle of a training program i found in a magazine. I would like to follow the Larry Fitzgerald's program soon.
  • Thanks you so much babe! You are dong a great job and most of the time are more diciplined than I am. Keep up the hard work and I'm here for you!
  • Sounds great! Thanks
  • best of luck to you! keeps us informed!
  • Thanks for all the input and kind words! I'm gonna do a few 5K's and get my time to 30 minutes then my next goal will be a 10K. Good luck to everyone out there! Y'all are doing great!
  • i'm in now too, thanks!
  • I also have the Mirena, almost 4 years now. I havent' had any change in anything, I still don't get periods. I do get a little cramping, but only for a couple hours. But nothing has changed since I started running or changing my diet.
  • I know when I first started MFP i lost the first 10 pounds very fast, then 2nd 10 were a little slower, I'm almost at 30 pounds lost. I guess I won't complain, as long as I'm exercising and eating healthy then I shouldn't worry.
  • I personally do not eat the exercise calories. I have 1200 calories, anything below that puts your body into starvation mode. If i go running and earn 400 calories, if i eat those 400 calories, then why did i just spend 30 minutes of my life running? if you eat what you earn, you don't get anywhere.
  • Temple, Tx here!
  • i just added you also
  • I'm in the same boat right now too. I got home from work at 330 this afternoon and only had eaten 350 calories, and 190 of that was my slimfast shake for lunch. I've been doing cardio for the past 5 days and took a break today. I'm gonna take Friday and have it be a full day of cheat meals so I can get my body "shocked".…
  • I haven't been weighing in on here, I will try to remember on wednesday to post my weight. I weigh myself everyday though...I know, I'm not supposed to, but it actally keeps me sane.
  • I'm in....not sure if today was a good start though. I was under my calorie count by 44 calories. I really need to get out and run again, and I think my body needs to be "shocked". I failed to lose my own personal 5 pound weight loss goal last month, so this will get my butt in gear.
  • sparkrecipes.com has excellent recipes that i use almost every day!
  • each day is a new day, you can't carry calories over to the next day

  • What I've been told in the past is to not eat the calories that you have earned from working out. Just eat what it allots you. Congrats on being on here for a month, that's how long I've been on here (without quitting). I love this site and all the motivation that comes with it.
  • welcome! It sounds like you really want to do this, which is actually the first step. I started this website a while ago, then started back up for good about a month ago. My husband has also joined and that really helps me stay on track. I will be here for any questions you may have, I'm not a nutritionist or anything, but…

  • You could do a thing called chocolate-kahlua mousse parfaits. I found it in the Biggest Loser cookbook. I've never made it (yet) but it looks really good, and easy enough. 145 cals/serving
  • Count me in too!! I'm having a competition with a friend, and I keep getting off track espically when we go out to eat. Help me stay motivated please. Please feel free to add me as a friend.
  • I also have a small glass of chocolate milk, it cures the chocolate craving and can even be a little filling. One other thing I do if I really HAVE to have chocolate is an oreo cookie. Just one, and its only 53 calories.
  • I just barely posted and already had 2 ppl reply. Thanks so much for your time and support y'all rock! I totally love this site
