  • I agree with the fact that not all women can exclusively breastfeed their babies due to supply issues, baby not gaining weight etc. So what you do in those cases is you supplement with formula. You don't have to give up breastfeeding completely since it still offers benefits like antibodies.

  • I beleive i was up about 12 lbs at 20 weeks and i gained a lot of weight in my 2nd trimester (2 lbs in 1st trimester and 17 lbs in the 2nd trimester) Once i hit my 3rd trimester it slowed down majorly. I maintained for about a month and then am slowly gaining about a half a lb a week. I have been logging my food intake…
  • I couldn't agree with you more. Despite eating fairly healthy and working out 4-5 days a week, I gained about 17 lbs in my 2nd Trimester. Now at 31 weeks and 2 months left i only gained another lb. I basically maintained my weight for about a month and i am now slowly gaining about a half a lb. a week. As of today, end of…

Also from my own experience with my son who was 8 lb 11 oz. we had a hard time getting his shoulders out (he is also broad like my husband). Thanx to my great…

  • 30 weeks is early. Not all babies are in position at that point. I would wait another 6-8 weeks before becoming concerned and considering a c-section. You dont want major abdominal surgery unless its absolutely necessary.
  • i am just not sure who the right person to speak to is. Its such a big college, I find it confusing who to talk to about it.
  • I dont have a car. I take the subway train to school (New York) so unfortunately thats not an option. Thanx anyway

At 28 weeks i am up about 19 lbs. I hope to only gain 25 lbs, but i am not sure if its possible at this point. I know that as long as…
  • bump, am i the only one?
  • I am sorry about your Dr's hurtful comment. Obesity and/or gaining excess weight during pregnancy does put you at risk for gestational diabetes and macrosomia aka a large baby. That being said, as long as you are taking the proper steps for a healthy pregnancy then I wouldn't get hung up on the number on the scale. Weight…
