  • I've recently become a huge fan of raw sugar snap peas. Satisfyingly crunchy and just a wee bit sweet, 26 calories for a 1 cup serving (I get full, though, waaay before hitting 1 cup), and if you add a couple of tbsp of hummus for dipping you get a nice protein boost for just 50ish more calories, give or take.
  • Also if you're falling way under your daily calorie requirements, your body will freak out and go into starvation mode and do anything it can to hang on to weight.
  • They have tasty tasty hummus for $1.99 and whole frozen chickens for $0.85 a lb. They're always my first stop on shopping day; I can get almost everything I need there for way cheap and then I just have to make a quick run somewhere else to fill in whatever they didn't have.
