I like shakes from time to time. I often have to work through lunch so grabbing a shake keeps from being starved later on. Much easier to make a healthy dinner if I'm not food crazed with hunger. They also make a decent snack when i really want some chocolate. People have strong opinions about it. I agree you can't live on…

For me saying no completely doesn't work. I just obsess about something and binge first opportunity. What does help is portion control. 100 calorie packs of cookies or the 1 serving cartons of ice cream keep the serving size in check. They cost a little more but for me it is worth it.

I like the Dove promises dark chocolate. When I want the real thing fat free pudding won't cut it, there is something very satisfying about biting into actual chocolate.

You can log breastfeeding as food and it will give you negative calories on your log. I'd be careful about cutting too many calories now. I really feel like it takes a solid three months to get your milk supply well established. When you are ready Id just plan to eat at maintnece without logging the breastfeeding and that…

Sometimes I do if I'm using a salty spice mix just to watch the sodium. Otherwise I generally don't bother

Unless you have kidney dysfunction extra protein is OK

Eggs, milk, cheese, beans are all great sources of protein. If you are vegan you may need to supplement

The second two weeks are def harder than the first two. Can't speak to the rest of them.....yet

I agree with previous posters, do the workout but don't log it

Congrats on your new baby! Mine isn't new anymore, she will be 9 months this week but starting January first I got serious about getting rid of all the baby, and sadly pre-baby, weight. I also have a two and a half year old. I'm still breastfeeding and always looking for some supportive mommy friends!

The side pics really show the difference in your tummy! Keep it up

Sometimes just logging the calories in things I'm am considering gives me enough motivation not to put it in my mouth. Some treats are necessary (dark chocolate) but most aren't worth the work it takes to burn them off.

This! I love chicken or turkey sausages. There are several good brands out there in all kinds of flavors.

A calorie is a calorie. If you want larger volume of food then less fat is better but at the end of the day the total calories are what matter for weight loss

I'm Sarah, 35, and down to 197 from 283. You can totally do this! Just be patient because it takes a while. You didn't gain weight in a day and you won't lose it in a day either. Just be consistent and remember you are on the journey for the long haul. Good luck!

I'd eat my weight in shrimp!

5'10" with a goal weight of 160. I totally understand I think that is a starting weight for a lot of shorter girls!

Hot herbal tea is a good substitute for snacks for me. Sipping gives you something to do while watching tv, plus with this cold winter holding that warm mug just feels good

Get rid of the fat clothes. That way it gets really expensive to gain weight

The crock pot can be your best friend. Healthy food doesn't have to take much time. You can cook a scrambled egg in the microwave in sixty seconds. Put it on some whole wheat bread with cheese and you have a super fast breakfast with no pans to wash. Don't feel like you have to go to the gym for an hour. Get in 30 minutes…

I agree with the above. There will be some bad days but don't let a bad day turn into a bad week. Keep up the behavior that is working. For me that is keeping a food diary... If you bite it write it! Keep an eye on portions at all times, after s while you get pretty good at eyeballing but check yourself every once in s…

I think I have to politely disagree. I eat food and still get hungry. Even if shakes aren't a lifetime sustainable option I think they are helpful. I often use them to get back on track when I've slipped. Sometimes choice is overwhelming and knowing exactly what you are going to eat and in what portion makes things easier.

I like them but they aren't really subs for me. I do make mashed cauliflower, but I've never thought to myself. "These mashed potatoes are delicious". It tastes like mashed cauliflower, which is tasty and has fewer cals than potatoes so I can eat more volume. But I agree with a PP, roasted with olive oil and salt is the…

I prefer real half and half to the dairy alternatives, but almond milk has a nice flavor in coffee too. Trying to flavor coffee with extracts is tough because you need so little. Easier to buy vanilla flavored coffee beans IMO

I think it is perfectly normal. Welcome back! Good luck this time around!

I do better eating a few more calories at breakfast. I don't if I eat about 350 I'm much less hungry through the day than when I only eat about 200. It costs me a snack but for me it is worth it. Or you could consider three shakes through the day with dinner at night and no snacks. I'm not sure how many calories are in…

I'm always looking for more support too

Welcome and good luck!

I know I've fallen off the wagon a few times myself. This is a lifetime journey, there are bound to be bumps in the road. I don't know if credible is the right word but advice is always a little more suspect when it comes from the do as I say not as I do perspective, but it doesn't make it bad advice
