I have made the same switch in my crock pot recipes! I add the greek yogurt at the END. So the meal cooks all day with all the ingredients except the yogurt.... at the end of the day I stir in the yogurt and let it sit while I get dishes and stuff out. Texture is always perfect, no issues.

Save the money you would have spent on together meals or other boyfriend stuff, and get yourself a punching bag. GOOD stress release!!

It's not a really stupid question at all! I do the same as acmanna- look at a few options in the database and find something that looks close. So if I got a roll from a small mom-and-pop bakery, I might look at how much a roll from Panera or Tim Horton's or something similar is. When you're new, it's often best to…

Assuming you've had your bloodwork tested from your comment about being in parameters- by chance did your doc include Vitamin D levels? I'd assumed for a long time I was hypothyroid because of my own symptoms and family history, but always got that same "you're fine, you're within normal range" speech. My last bloodwork…

If YOU believe it makes a difference, it makes a difference. That's the power of the mind. :)

I would love to be a mentor! I signed up with MFP when I was pregnant with my second son and logged faithfully every day for over a year. I lost all my baby weight (about 35 pounds) and took a month off from logging. Now I'm right back in logging every day trying to lose the last bit to hit my goal weight. I also work out…

Is the meal going to be at a workplace or someone's house? I would wager a bet that at least a few of your other friends would like to have a salad with their pizza anyway. Grab some of the to-go bags of prewashed salad and announce you're covering the "side dish!" That way you can have half a plate of salad and still…

Emotional over-eater here! What helped me is taking a deep breath before I grab something, and saying "I am in control over what *I* put it *my* body." More times than not that little pause helps me put it down.

If your trainer looked at you like you were stupid, see about getting a new trainer! They should be helping you educate yourself, not making you feel dumb for asking basic questions. Be honest with MFP about your height, weight and activity levels and it'll give you a pretty decent starting point for calorie/fat/carb…

Chicken bowl with brown rice, both mild and corn salsa, pinto beans, a little cheese and a LOT of lettuce. I also get a kids's size chips and a side of guac. I eat half the bowl, all the chips and half the guac for the first meal and then have the rest the next day. The kids's size chips are a nice treat... I justify it…

Bonjour et bienvenue à la maternité! I had my second son a bit before you in May. The weight will come back off, but you have to make sure you keep your body fueled. You need way more than 600 calories a day to keep up with the kid, ha! Good luck. :)

My wonderful hubby says I'm 5'3" minus 1". :) Good things come in small packages, amiright?!? :D I have been on and off MFP for about a year and a half, but I was pregnant for most of it. MFP has helped me get down to my pre-baby weight and now I'm trying to reach my goal weight for the first time since, well, high school?…

Ann Arbor! Just hit my 175 day streak on MFP. :) I signed up as a member when I found out I was pregnant with my second son... he's 10 months old now and I'm back at my pre-baby weight. Just a little more to go to hit my goal, and trying to stay motivated!

I'm a community "lurker" myself.... good for you on putting your story out there! :) Keep motivated and results will come. Slow changes are sustainable changes!
