Definitely avocado! I have been making my own guacamole lately and I can't live without it!

"Vegetarianism" doesn't cause deficiencies. Not eating balanced foods does. Your dreams may very well be caused by a deficiency of some sort, but don't blame it on vegetarianism, rather, blame an unbalanced diet. You can be a vegetarian and eat Cheetos every meal. There is a right way and a wrong way to do it.

I don't know how long you give yourself between weigh-ins, but for accuracy you may want to do it once per week, at the same time of day (say, Monday mornings). In one day and day-to-day your weight fluctuates pretty significantly. You're probably not gaining back the weight (unless you've gone over your TDEE by more than…

You may want to look into amenorrhea... I experienced it when I was young. It's due to over-exercising/under-eating. And ohhhh boy it is painful when your period finally comes back.

It works, I used it for a short period, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's much more sustainable for you to change your lifestyle and your habits slowly than using pills for quick weight loss. That's jusy my opinion, though! The phentermine eventually made me cranky, jittery, moody, and caused insomnia. The side effects…

Hello Everybody! I am currently training for my second full marathon, however I'm training "from scratch". I ran my first marathon when I was 16 (seven years ago, yikes!). I guess I just let life get in the way! Anyway, I truly love to run and now I'm trying to get back to my former glory. I'm doing pretty well with my…

My goal for 2013 is to qualify for Boston 2014!

I can see a big difference! Keep it up!!

Yes. It's just something you learn to deal with. Sometimes I have to be picky and if a restuarant doesn't have a meatless option I will try to sway the group elsewhere. I try not to be pushy about it because it's my personal choice. It's doable; definitely not easy, especially if you live in the south.

THIS & oh by the way, awesome weight loss! 153 lbs?!

Look up and join the group: Happy Herbivores. They are some very supportive MFPers! I'm transitioning to a whole foods plant based vegan diet currently (slowly cutting out lacto-ovo).

I'll be your friend!

Personally, MFP has been so much more successful than Weight Watchers was for me. Get into it and hold yourself accountable for everything. Add a few friends to keep you motivated. Log on your smartphone. Good luck!

Not just yet! I'm working on them also.

I agree. I am 23, 5 foot 6.5, weigh more than you, but I'm a bit thinner than you. It's all about muscle mass. There is nothing wrong with your weight, just work on toning up your body. You can work on losing a few pounds of fat, but focus on gaining muscle! You don't want to be "skinny fat". I hope this helps and good…

Yes please!

Love this!

From everything I have read, yes, that is correct.

I have tried a few, but my favorite is Silk soy yogurt. Their almond yogurt is good, too, but the soy is creamier. Almond dream makes an almond yogurt but it's too gritty for my taste. SO makes a coconut yogurt which I think is also kind of gritty.

LOVE PB2!

Most long distance runners and running magazines will tell you to run heel to toe. That is the method that has always worked for me! (I run about 35-40 miles a week, been an avid runner for 7 years)

I've never tried ginger tea, I just drink brewed green tea all day long. I will try it out!

I make everything. Used the recipe builder! In the smoothie is: vegan shakeology, spinach, kale, chia seeds, berries and soy milk the chili: tomato sauce chili base (where the high sodium came from- won't be using that one again), beans, veggies and brown rice

That's really strange because I can see fiber on my iPhone, but you're right it doesn't come up on here. I seem to be over by about 12-25 grams per day.
-
You can take a look at my journal if you'd like, I eat a 97% vegan plant based diet and my protien is fairly high. I have found that beans, tofu, and whole grains help!
-
linalovekitty, that's good to hear. Good choice. :)
-
Didn't you start a post last week saying that, literally, all you eat is junk food?
-
Yes, people will look at you as you run by. Do you want to know what they're thinking? Non-runners are thinking, "hmm, I should be doing that" and runner will think "you go girl! Good job! Keep up the hard work" Don't be self conscious! Just get out there and do it! For YOU!

The more I post on MFP, the more I realize that there are some very angry, strongly opinionated people on the Internet! lol.

He will eat spaghetti squash... Corn occasionally. But that's about where it ends! That's my biggest concern. I put veggies in EVERYTHING! Brussels sprouts, asparagus, onions, peppers, spinach, kale! I can't do without them! I guess it is possible to cook my veggies and his meat separately. Just another pan?
