  • No, but I'm sure it'll happen one day!
  • Hi, I'm Hayley. :) I don't have as much time for geekery as I used to, but I'm still about. I grew up on a steady diet of Star Trek and Xena: Warrior Princess, and just went on from there. ;) I... Am pagan, running my local moot, and also a Kemeticist Am asexual Love fantasy RPGs, particularly anything Elder Scrolls Read…
  • In my tradition we have A LOT of feasts, occasionally centred around a specific food. I tend to prepare a lot of veggies where applicable - I love vegetables, so for me that is enough of a feast. :) The local groups I celebrate with all choose to share vegan food following rituals, so there is usually plenty of stuff that…

  • An egg custard tart (someone's birthday at the office - yum!)
  • My usual work lunch is cous cous (sometimes I use the pre-flavoured ones, sometimes plain) mixed with a heap of roasted or grilled vegetables, beans or flaked fish, and sweet chilli or hot sauce. Yum! I've also done this with pesto, or just a drizzle of balsamic and olive oil.

  • I'm 5'5 and just shy of 200lb, and currently I'd like to get to around 170lb then see where I want to go from there. That takes me out of "obese" category on a basic BMI chart so seems a reasonable goal to start off with. I'm not so fussed on an exact figure though, more focused on how I feel and any inches lost. I'm…
  • 5'5, 193lb 43 - 32 - 41
  • I have siblings, but was raised an only child and saw them every few years at most. I don't really have much to do with them now as an adult either, they're more distant family members, so I may as well be an only child. I've always liked being alone, to be honest, so it's never bothered me. I'm happy being social and…
  • I like to lift weights first thing in the morning. It's what I do when I'm not at work, and I do it on the days I do too. I roll out of bed around 6am (or earlier if I need to leave before 8), lift weights in my pajamas, stretch, then I'm done by 7am and start to get ready for the day. Sometimes I'll have a 10min run if…
  • Haters gonna hate, but they're not worth your time. Everyone has a set back at some time or other. Although to be honest, I don't really notice anyone at the gym! Occasionally I'm admiring someone's lifting while I'm between seats, but 99% of the time I'm too focused on what I'm doing to care who's around me, when I saw…
  • Push ups. I have reasonable arm and shoulder strength now, but I still can't do them. Even doing them against a wall or something is really tough, I usually can't do more than a few. I keep trying, but never get any better. I can't do overhead squats either. I can squat, and I can get my arms/shoulders into the right…
  • LGBT? Check. Pagan? Check. I run my local moot and am very involved in the community. Video games? Check. I love RPGs. Roleplay? Sort of. Art/music? Check. Anything! Books? Check. Fantasy and science fiction, and classics, and fanfiction, and and and, I love reading. Loose-leaf tea? Sort of. I'm not picky with tea, but I…
  • My music taste varies massively tbh, and also depends on what I'm actually doing. Right now I'm using the "Pumping Iron" playlist from the Spotify fitness category. My favourites from that are: Down With The Sickness - Disturbed Face To The Floor - Chevelle Bury Me With My Guns - Bobaflex Deal With The Devil - Pop…
  • Water, then either tea with almond milk or black coffee.
  • Haha this ^. I'm a cheapskate. I can't abide by the thought of paying that much a month then not using the membership - just think what else I could've wasted that money on! ;)
  • I do this too - I was surprised at how much easier it was to peel them! I'm impatient and hate leaving them to cool thoroughly, and this way I can do them asap after cooking. Some great ideas on this thread though. I'm doing boiled eggs for dinner tonight so I'll maybe try something different.
  • I track waist, hips, chest, upper arm, and thigh. I'm obese but gaining muscle, so for me that is a more accuracte method - in the first few weeks I gained a stone, but lost many inches! I do track my weight, but far less consistently. I haven't a clue what my body fat % is.
  • 5'5 and 30", I'm just under 200lb I believe. I've always had a narrow waist compared to the rest of me, though.
  • Around 3-6 I guess? It varies so much, as I travel a lot and have minimal childcare available. I'm usually working in the gym for an hour, or maybe a bit more, and get to go 2-3 times a week. This weekend I only got to go once, but should be able to go 3 times next as my working days are different. I run to/from the gym,…
  • I only have partial eyebrows and look a bit bonkers without anything, so I'll usually define them lightly, but don't bother with anything else. My face sweats a lot so it seems a waste of time? If I have make-up on I wipe it off before I start. I don't bother with my hair much either. I have a thick fringe/bangs and that's…
  • We had Quorn wild garlic sausages chopped up and roasted with vegetables.
  • The fan, and my 3 year old eating loudly. Shudder.
  • I've been in a desk job since I left school - I'm 25 now! I do enjoy it, but it does really limit the time I have to be active.
  • I get up, get dressed, grab a couple pieces of fruit and eat on the go. I have a proper breakfast and tea/coffee after. My gym doesn't have wifi and just plays music videos, but my music varies a lot. Some days I like hard rock, some days industrial, and some days I'm listening to celtic folk.
  • 25KG (55lb ish) here. I know I could go heavier, possibly by quite a lot, but right now I'm focusing on good form on every rep before I try heavier weights.
  • I grew up on that! :D I'm listening to an audiobook of "Titus Groan" from the Gormenghast trilogy.
  • Yep! They're a nuisance. We're not allowed pets, else we'd have a cat too. And I hate cats. We had them when I was around 7-8 months pregnant, and one decided to join us in bed. Honestly, you have never seen a heavily pregnant woman move so fast. I literally flew out of bed, hurdling over my other half.
  • Hahaha at the Superman pic, love that. I'll be keeping an eye out for those at the gym. I actually really like leg exercises, and I've always been an active walker, so have good and strong legs. My upper body not so much, but I'm working on that. I think it's so important to set up for the future as well as you are able,…
  • Feel free to add, the more variety the better. :) I'm 25 in the UK, mum to one, and love lifting. Am also alternative, into body mods, and pescetarian.
  • When the mood takes me, to be honest! We don't have scales at home and I can't be bothered to buy some as my goals are inches rather than pounds, so if I do weigh myself it's on a whim at the gym or when staying with a family member who does have a set. I measure myself typically once a week though, or every other week.…
