  • Tue 08/06 6.4 miles -around 100 minutes - 13,959 steps.. I'm thinking since this is my replacement UP Band, I'm going to need to calibrate it to my steps again.. there's a big difference in these steps/distances.
  • I use UP Band & Run Keeper both - so here's the stats on what I've done since the 1st. :) Fri 08/02 was 5.07 miles (4 were ran - 1.07 walked). (63 minutes) 14,405 Steps Sat 08/03was 6.89 miles (all walked - way too hot to even attempt running it). (111 minutes) 10,494 Steps
  • I walk more than I run.. So I'll jump in as well. :) I don't do it everyday, but typically 3-4 times a week.
  • Keeps telling me "OOPS! You've caught us at a slow moment! Try again later!"... and last night, the one time I did halfway get it ten enter, it selected "Leisurely pace, 3.0 mph walking dog."... it is NOT a leisurely pace, and I wasn't walking my dog for nearly 5 miles! Poor wiener dog would have nubbins for legs if I…

  • Pretty certain it's just going to be Greyhound. Actually, there IS a public transit bus system.. but I'm not sure how to go about checking it out. I know I see buses from time to time on 32 with "Athens/Columbus/Cincinnati" as destination lights..
  • Brilliant!!! Where were you when I was flunking chemistry!!!??? :) Thank you!
  • Hmmmm.. bump for upward movement on the list. :)
  • What are your likes? My hubby runs to rap... I can't do it. It just doesn't pump me up. I run to.. anything rocking.. from Pink to Kid Rock, ACDC, HellYeah, Rob Zombie, Metallica, etc.. if I can get a good beat on it, I run/walk to it. I also like a lot of the songs on here.. :) I guess it also depends on what type of…
  • Congratulations on the weight loss! I too have PCOS - and struggled for 6 years to get the one thing that my husband and I wanted more than anything... We lived near Charlotte NC at the time, and after spinning our wheels for 5.5 years w/ a local doctor (being told I was "too fat" to get pregnant.. I weighed around 220..…
  • Don't know anything about the Polar Beat - however, IMHO, Runkeeper is irksome. I'm unfortunately still using it until I can find something that works a bit better.. I don't know if it's just me & the way I swing my arms in my regular stride/run or what..but the stinkin' thing is CONSTANTLY telling me it's paused/resumed.…
  • LOL .. and it's Friday.. the oddest things are making me snicker...

  • Very true. When Mudd jeans and Lei jeans first came out (probably 15 yrs ago).. I could wear an 10 in Lei, and the Mudd jeans, same style as the Lei, I had to go to a 14 or a 16 to not look like they had been painted on.
  • Spent 7 fantastic years living in the Statesville/Hickory area.. (tiny town called Taylorsville). LOOOOOVED IT! Moved back to Ohio about 18 months ago to raise the little one with his grandparents and family close by. Retirement years will see us move back "home". Awesome people, awesome area!!!
  • In 3 months? - I want to be around 185-190. - Lighter than that would be optimal.. but I will settle for that range. In a year? - I want to weigh 150, which is now my goal weight... (I am38 yrs old, nearly 5'7".. and have a large frame/bone structure.) In a year, if I have reached maintenance or superceded my current GW, I…
  • Hello! Southeastern Ohio.. From the land of Bob Evans & across the river from the Mothman. :) Recently moved back home after living in North Carolina for 7 years.
  • Hello Ladies! I live about an hour east from Waverly.. on the river. I'll be glad to cheer you on as well!! A good support system is one of the most important keys to making this type of lifestyle change!
  • I was 140 (I'm 5'5ish) in my 20's.. and it was just about right for me then. However, after having spent the last 10 years well over 220 - (my SW January 20, 2013 was 247.6) - I will be more than happy at anything <165. I am currently (as of this morning) @ 204 - I'm 38 years old... so I'll be happy with anything <165 lol.…
  • Having been a smoker for nearly 10 years (and now being smoke free since October 1, 2005), I can tell you.. Smoking sucks. I started smoking when I was fit and didn't really have any weight issues.. During my smoking years, my PCOS Symptoms started manifesting themselves, and by the time I quit, I had gained quite an…
  • I'm going to weigh in as well.. First of all.. :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN-TAST-IC job ladies!   Secondly.. I would be interested in hearing from some of the male population who have lost big as to their POV's on this.. or is it just a…
  • I'm married to an ultra marathoner.. And I've recently started running as part of my "get fit" routine. I can tell you.. I despise running. BUT like most of the PP's have said.. it does help to change your body! I find that my breathing and my mental outlook is what gives out way before my legs do. I just can.not. get my…
  • I've never heard the bodyweight halved in ounces, but I guess I'm doing that anyway. :) I typically try my best to get anywhere from 12-16 8oz glasses a day. There are some days where I only manage 10 - but more often than not, I'm somewhere around 14 a day. I find that I just FEEL better if I take that much in.. Don't…
  • Born & Raised in Bob Evans country! :) Lived in Cincinnati for 6 months (too many!), moved to NC 7 years ago (Statesville-Hickory area), moved back to Southeast Ohio 2 years ago! Funny how I wanted to live "anywhere but Ohio" the whole time I was growing up, and after 7 years, I came home - willingly! LOVED NC living, but…
  • I bought the Ease into C25K app for my I-phone and it only has 3 days a week.. I just finished week 2 last night...
  • Hi Robin.. My weight loss group weighs in once a week.. that's not saying that I'm not a scale addict and don't weigh in 2-3 times a week. Even WW will tell you you should weigh in once a week, but I think most of all, it's up to you and what you can live with. I try to do very other day or ever 3rd day.. As a woman,…

  • I would LOVE to work out in the mornings.. however, with a 3 year old who still doesn't sleep the best in the world (wakes up wanting drinks, leg cramps, etc), and a job that gets me up and out of the house on the way to work before 6:30am.. there's no way that I can/would give up my precious little sleep right now to do…
