  • Congrats- you have discovered maintenance. Something in your calculations is incorrect- either calories in or calories out. You have two options:* Just eat less than you do right now. If you're at maintenance, this will put you into a deficit. * Log every morsel of food using a food scale.

  • I'd say even further--- 75+ lbs to lose=2lbs/week Here is a great guideline for setting weekly weight loss goals: If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal, If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal, If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal, If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is…
  • I'm not stocking up on anything here in the US in a state with no reported cases. That said, I always have ample dried goods and shelf stable foods. We always have costco-quantities of soy milk (no refrigeration needed), quinoa-rice packets, meal pouches (tastybite), ramen, cereal, granola bars, dried fruits (craisens),…
  • Don't ask the internet- ask your PT! My post-back-injury exercises basically mean never lifting heavy again. I do loads of stability and some strengthening. My PT gave me LONG lists of progressive exercises. They are things like laying on my stomach and lifting one arm and then resting it. They build up to being able to…
  • Depends on your goals. It would be too many calories for me without being filling enough. 6 inch baguette is about 400 cals, Egg 70, 1/4 cup corn 30 (with no butter), mushrooms 3/4 cup about 50, plus probably at least a teaspoon of cooking oil between the egg, mushrooms, and corn 40 cals. 590 CALORIE ESTIMATE My goals mean…
  • Open your diary? 7 weeks of consistent 1,200 logging should show a change.
  • I believe it's supposed to be automatic on the site. If it doesn't update, do it every 5-10 lbs by going into goals and save. You'll notice about 10 cals removed every few lbs you lose.
  • Are you measuring your calorie intake? Also, what's a while? If you've been at it for 4 weeks with no loss- congrats! You've found your maintenance.
  • I mean, true. I get better results when I follow Starting Strength than I do following youtube vids. It's also a matter of commitment. The best routine is the one you can stick with. I am more likely to do 1-2 youtube bodyweight exercises a week and some weighted squats in the morning than I am to stick with a full blown…
  • 31/F/5'11.5 Original starting weight - this go around? 175. Since ever? 215 lbs. June starting weight - 175 June goal - 169 Ultimate goal - 155 1st - 175.0 4th - 174.8 6th - 172.6 11th - 169.6 13th - 168.0 14th - 167.2 Total lost June so far: -7.8 lbs, yikes. I'm losing too quickly, must be underestimating my calories from…
  • Scoop a spoon. Put spoon in bottom of bowl. Add whipped cream, then hershey syrup, then a tiny bit of PB2.
  • Starvation Mode is a myth. One of the MFP pinned posts: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1077746/starvation-mode-adaptive-thermogenesis-and-weight-loss/p1 If you are at a calorie deficit, sooner or later you will lose weight. As for activity level, it says what each is. It's based on your day job, not your…

  • It's so crazy/weird where our bodies lose weight first! I also lost weight from my feet and dropped half a size!
  • How are you measuring your calories? If you're using a food scale, 1,600 is too low (you posted this in the Gaining Weight forum---- 1,600 is about your BMR).
  • I'm a swing dancer but my husband isn't. If the first fact doesn't surprise someone, the second one does. SO MANY people think you have to have all the same hobbies as your life partner.

  • Try to keep them out of the freezer as little time as possible- sitting on the counter causes the refreeze. Store them in the middle of your freezer- the door is less cold and will cause some thaw-refreeze. Re-bag them in a freezer safe bag. Even a little bit of air getting in is enough to form ice crystals that ball it…
  • You're at the point in losing that you likely want to drop to 1.5 lbs/week. You could get maybe 2 lbs per week but with much more work. Also- you said you have 60 more lbs to go--- what's your goal weight and height? Is it on the low end of the BMI scale? Dropping under 22 BMI can be slow going for a lot of people. Are you…
  • Some people only feel better when they put others down. Older generations in some cultures it's common to comment on younger peoples' bodies. It doesn't excuse them, but a well placed, "Please don't comment on my body," with an optional, "That's very rude," usually does the trick.
  • Most of those don't work unless the are making direct contact with muscles (any fat makes them ineffective). They also only make a small difference in the subset of the population who have very little body fat- pro athletes. Your "bum and thighs" would not get stronger or firmer, most likely. Be skeptical of anything that…
  • It bases that on your calorie count being accurate. Even measuring spoons aren't as accurate as a food scale.
  • I really recommend fiber one as a brand. The fiber one brownies are 90 cals and 20% (i think!) of your daily fiber.
  • I don't know what constitutes fasted. I prefer not to have heavy workouts within 5-6 hrs of eating. Sometimes I walk the dogs post-coffee pre-breakfast.
  • It's automatic. I just lose 3 lbs and it took 10 calories from me :(
  • I feel you. My progress has not been a hill but rather a mountain range (with one very happy valley). I find it helpful to identify the ways I fall off the wagon and how to see the warning signs (which will be different for everyone).
  • Fake meat is packed with protein. I really enjoy fake chicken and fake beef. It often has more protein per calorie than real meat. Eggs and cheese (feta) are other main sources in my diet.

  • FitnessBlender videos on youtube are so good. Look for things that say "bodyweight" if you don't have equipment. Here's an example one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7K6yFOjsJI I really like fitness blender because they talk you through each workout and it doesn't go too fast.
  • I've never seen people wear it in public- maybe they all think the same way as you? ;) I used to follow a youtuber who promoted the heck out of them. It seemed like they sponsored a lot of content for youtubers and instagrammers, but if the fit, performance, and price is good, why not lean in and love yours?
