I should add that I think her total carb intake for the the DAY is 25grams???? I don't know much about it other than what I've observed via her. MFP is way cheaper :-)

I'm in. Actually amazon tells me my Leaner/Thinner/Stronger book should be arriving today -- yay! I am 5'1" and want to lose my last 10lbs of fat. Also a heavy lifter 3-4 times a week. Are the workouts any good in the book?

My skin has only started to show the effects the past year. My weight loss was maybe 5lbs a month when I lost it. Seriously - once I hit 40 there it went!

Is it possible she is tired of hearing about your diet and is passive aggressively trying to get you to shut it? Like if I had a friend who kept raving about her Isogenix successes or something I'd probably start sending her pics of my own food choices. NWIM?

I'm no expert but if it were me (to be a 5'7" and a size 0!) I would: - eat more - Cardio less - Lift a lot more and get hip thrusting - Wear a belt You've got an opportunity to add some major curves!

The starting weights are so low with wendler - and I understand the reasoning etc. But did it feel like you were even working much for the first while??

I had myself all lined up to start 5/3/1 Monday but now I'm finding myself still searching. The fiddling with 1RMs & %s is making my head spin. WTF is my problem! I cannot nail anything down. I may go back to PHUL or checkout PH3. I think realistically 3-4 days is the max I can get into the gym, PH3 is 5? Modifiable?

Stumbled upon this on a search re: the Texas method :smile: 41yo lifting for a few years. Feel like I should have more to show for my 3-4day a week lifting life and need some inspiration/motivation to get a new program going. Off to check out the group.

Hanging head in *shame* but I have to admit I'm a die-hard Tims coffee drinker (2x a day fo sho). For an actual substantial-ish meal I'd go with the chili. For a treat -- definitely a honey crueller or birthday cake timbit(s) :smiley:

I'm also trying to nail down a new program, I've done several PHUL rounds but started to spin my wheels. I'm leaning towards Wendler 5/3/1.

5'1" Started at 180, now 138-140 (sigh), goal 130. I cannot for the life of me get the last 10lbs off. I feel fluffy and a 2-3lb gain makes me feel stuffed into my pants :(

I am in the weight section of my gym banging out heavy weights 3x a week, no hesitation. And yet every time I think of trying out the kettlebells I get nervous and back away. WTF! Mad at myself. Weird.
