I should be OK then. I'm almost 3 months out and have been ahead of the recovery curve. I also googled it this morning and some programs are also concerned about the high fat/calories in nuts. Really easy to blow out your nutrition on a handful of nuts that our sleeves can easily accomodate. Thanks everyone!

Call your Doc's office back and see what they have to say. They may need to up your dose, or check into something else. -Phill

I thought decaf coffee counted as water? Not that I have more than a cup a day, but I had heard decaf could be counter towards water.

I've started brewing herbal tea and throwing it in the fridge. I've gone from 8 cups to 16 cups a day.

I definitely feel for you. I went through a bucket-list of food I thought I would never be able to have after getting sleeved. But what I have learned in the last nearly 3 months is that there really isn't anything I can't have any more. I just have to rank it's priority. I can have a really good steak (replace your…

Great points of view relentless and rscpjlm. I'm one of those obsessive/compulsive people. I latch on to something and go after it. I'm just trying to make sure that those things I'm latching on to now are emotionally and physically healthy choices. -Phill

I had my first drink at 2 months. For now I limit it to less than 2 drinks an evening and only once a week at most. I'm able to work it into my calories and I now savor the drink. I've also heard that for many WLS patients alcohol can turn into a new crutch. It's something my husband and I are both mindful of and make sure…

At 2 months I was at 51 down from surgery. Things are a little slower nearly 3 months out but still moving along. -Phill

Great idea. I picked up some flatbread like things at the deli today so I can make my own pizza. Looking forward to it.

If your nutrition is where it should be, then adding activity will certainly help. -Phill

I was moderately successful before surgery, but I have thrown everything in to being successful post-op. I'm glad that my hard work is paying off.

I admire you because you confront things head on. We're all a work in progress. -Phill

You look ten years younger!

I've transitioned to "normal" food quickly (I'm just about 2 months out). Feel free to add me.

Hi Kate, New Haven, CT. Here

You mentioned moderate activity. How about stepping up the activity? Even just walking. I notice that I lose when I get 10K steps a day or more. And until this past week all of my walking was just around the house, 15 minutes at a time.

Flew to Florida for Christmas and I didn't need the seatbelt extender. Unfortunately I also brought home the flu.

That's awesome, and such great motivation for those of us just out of surgery.

Welcome to the other side!

Good luck!

This is just one reason I'm glad that my husband and I have both had the surgery. I have a lot more weight to lose than he does, but it's still helpful that we both gave the same frame of reference.

Good luck!

My first dinner out was sushi. I ordered a few pieces of sashimi and ended up taking half of it home, but it was so tasty.
