  • I'm temporarily deactivating my Facebook account!!!! My kids: No tv, no DS, Wii or Computer. We had a blast tonight playing Connect 4 as a family & our kids decided they would make up a game of wrapping up in a blanket and sliding down the stairs. LOL!

  • You look AWESOME! Keep it up, girl!
  • Bump
  • HILARIOUS!!!! ..... BUT TRUE! I would've never thought in a million years that I'd pass up on a potluck at work SOLELY because I didn't want the hassle of having to log what I ate! HAHAHA. :-)
  • I don't know what day I'm on because I don't do it every day. It's more like every other (or other, other) day, but I'm still seeing results. I didn't do it tonight but it's ON tomorrow! :-) Like previously mentioned, do take your measurements!
  • I'm 5'6" **Edited for: and thank you, by the way. I guess my "flesh" is heavier than most? lol. I WISH I was under 200!
  • WELL SAID! :-) I think I'm stealing this!
  • and these were taken just now: You look GREAT! Almost unrecognizable! Way to go!
  • You've made one of THE best decisions of your life! :-) I'm there with ya! Finding this site truly has inspired me to well, firstly, realize that my weight was out of control. I log on every day to find encouragement, ideas and knowledge on how I can make me the best me, yet! I'm beginning to see that it's ONE DAY AT A…
  • Hey, I figured it out! :blushing:
  • Um, anyone want to help me figure out how to make the pics show up...and BEFORE someone SWEARS THEY ARE SICK OF PEOPLE NOT KNOWING HOW TO POST PICTURES.... I Tried....
  • I can relate. I used to have days like that. Everyone knows that "you are your own worst critic." Well, I'd venture to say it's about time you start being YOUR OWN BIGGEST FAN! Men find a woman's "self-awareness" and "sense of attractiveness (for lack of a better word), VERY ATTRACTIVE. In other words, men like women who…
  • I agree! Mrs. Dash also has a variety of seasoning flavors that you can use to spice up any dish. Original blend (salt-free) I use on almost everything :~)
  • Bouncing belly fat...for me, it's more like bouncing "booty" fat. When I first started exercising, I'd wear my SPANX underneath my workout clothes and that did the trick for me. Now that my bum's a little firmer, I can go w/o it. It was the SPANX w/ the high tummy panel (so perhaps that would do the trick?)
  • I'm there with you! 5'6" Highest weight: 256 SW (MFP): 238 CW: 228 Monthly Goals: drop 8-10 lbs./month; Next up: 218 by end of Feb.'11 Ultimate GW: 165-180 (this was a comfortable weight for me)
  • YES!!!! This is totally me like, almost EVERY DAY!!!!! I'm trying to re-train my brain (and my stomach), I guess to eat only when I'm hungry. So, I've successfully mastered that and I'm choosing all healthy things like 95% of the time. The thing is, I hardly break 1000 calories a day but I swear I'm full. In fact, tonight,…
  • Well, considering you've managed to lose 66 pounds thus far, I'd say I need to be the one asking you! :~) (Congrats, by the way!) After doing every possible diet imaginable, I've discovered for me that it's sugar, carbs and fat that do me in EVERY time so THIS time, I'm really watching it! My best friend is a certified…
  • Ooops! I meant to quote someone in my reply; see below Well, considering you've managed to lose 66 pounds thus far, I'd say I need to be the one asking you! :~) (Congrats, by the way!) • From what I understand, natural sugars (of course in moderation) aren't bad. It's the "added" sugar that gets us! For me, if I eat a banana or an apple, I usually deduct that sugar amount from my daily goal as it's a natural/good sugar. I could be wrong but that's what I do.
  • Hey There! I totally understand how you feel! I took a look at your diary and I think you're right on target. I couldn't, however, see your sugar goals (or whether or not your monitoring this). I know personally, I HAVE TO cut sugar in order to lose weight. I'm seeing a steady loss of about 1.5lb./week. My sugar intake is…
  • I say go for it. I just weighed this past week (well, I really weigh everyday but only record it weekly) - during that TOM - and I was surprised that I actually LOST a pound that week. (Woo-hoo!) I know that I usually crave sweet stuff and salt but I was super conscious of it this time (since having started MFP) so perhaps…
  • Oh my goodness!!! I'm EXACTLY that way now. A coworker of mine was sippin' on an iced coffee from Starbucks and I blurted out, "Do you know many calories and sugar are in that thing?" LOL. ME saying that...whodathunk? lol
  • I, too, am in the same boat! Seems like there's always some sort of trade off. I just don't worry with it. I'm sure to stay w/in my sodium limit, though. If I happen to only eat 900 or so calories for the day, so be it (so long as I'm not hungry).
  • WOW! You look PHENOMENAL!!! Just the extra motivation I needed to make MY trip to the gym today! Super happy for you!!!!

  • I totally know where you're coming from. I had NO idea exactly HOW much food I was actually consuming! I'm focusing on portion control (I even measure my food now; hoping to become good at just eyeing it once it's more of a habit). It's a wonderful feeling, though, to actually know when you're body's telling you you've had…
  • I'm in! My highest weight was 256. Currently, I'm 237 (5'6") and trying to get to 185 by June this year
