We Didn't Start the Fire by Billy Joel.

That makes me feel not so guilty about our family's Friday night rituals: pizza (and beer for hubby and me) and movies. Need to add ice cream though!! (My two boys will love that!)

That's funny!

My favorites are the Apple Walnut Salad or the Fruit Parfait. Yum!

Being able to sleep in as late as I want to, and have hubby cook breakfast. Might not seem like much, but hubby works a swing-shift job, isn't home much to help me take care of the boys in the morning. Heaven!

I can totally relate. My brother's nickname for me growing up was 'Shamu.' It really hurt, but I never did anything to try to change my physical appearance. Members of my dad's family (mainly grandmother and grandfather) always told me that I would never be as thin as my Aunt Irene (gymnast and life-long athlete). Of…

My exercise time is time I take for me. First thing in the morning and then again at lunch (during the week) is all me! No kids or hubby needing me to do something, and no work-related issues. Guess you could call that a positive "time-out!"

Chobani or Fage Non-Fat. Any flavor.

I'm right there with you on the 'two left feet' thing. I am uncoordinated as all get out! But, the way I figure it, I'm doing my best to follow, and getting a good workout in the process. Progress!! :flowerforyou:

Alexa, I kept seeing the infomercials and thought it looked interesting, but didn't think anymore about it. My morning workout routine was starting to feel a little stale, and not leaving me with as much pep in the mornings as before. From what I remembered of the commercial, the music was uplifting and Donna was so peppy…

It's a workout program that incorporates Gospel music and aerobic fitness. The instructor is up beat and keeps you going when you want to quit. Highly recommend it!
-
It is. I just did the 'Body Revival' workout at lunch, and it was awesome! If you do get any more workout DVDs, I TOTALLY recommend this one. She modifies it for all levels of fitness.

Totally doable!! (Is that even a word?!? LOL)

Welcome to MFP!:flowerforyou: You've got a friend - and support - in me!!

From those of us that bust our a**es to be healthier and in better shape, thank you. That's the best compliment a girl could ask for!!

Welcome to MFP! You did the right thing by joining. I have met nothing but awesome and supportive people on the site. This is an investment in you, and you are most definitely worth it!!:flowerforyou:

My name is Shannon, and I want to lose weight so my husband can't keep his hands off of me! *sigh of relief for admitting the truth!*

Yoga and Pilates in the office. Walking laps, if you can get out of the office. I've gotten a reputation in my office for doing my Yoga and Pilates at lunch, or for doing laps around the State Capitol. (There are worse reputations out there, I suppose!)

I would say that losing weight is all about a lifestyle change, encompassing diet and exercise. Just keeping track of what - and how much - you're eating, and making sure that the calories going in are less than the calories going out.

As the wife and daughter of retired US Army soldiers, I think what you're doing is awesome! Git 'r' done, indeed!!!

Cherry Pomegranate. (Not sure how you spell it!!)

I'm 5'10" and my goal is 165lbs.

eHarmony. I was a working single mom going to grad school, and didn't have the time - or interest - in doing the bar scene. (This is going to sound terrible, but it's true) Hubby's profile pulled up, and he had posted a pic of him on his H-D Nighttrain. A good looking guy on a piece of black and chrome art? Why not! To…

That's always been my first sign that my weight is coming down. It is a wonderful feeling, isn't it!! Keep up the good work!!:flowerforyou:

I try to stay under my calorie goal without eating into my exercise calories. At least that's the case during the work week! :) On the weekends, I do my best to keep it that way. If I can't, I don't really sweat it. There is - hopefully - enough of a deficit saved up for food calories that I won't get dinked too badly if I…

You've got a friend in me! :flowerforyou: Add me if you'd like.

I was born an Army brat at Fort Hood, Texas, and was raised all around the United States and 3 foreign countries (West Germany, Pakistan, and South Korea). I married a Senior NonCommission Officer in the US Army, and travelled around the US. Hubby retired and we moved back to his home state of Arkansas, where we're living…

I'm 5'10", and weighed about190 pounds when I woke a US size 12. Right now I'm "sitting" at 180 pounds and wearing a size 10.

What's really helped me is having a Food and Exercise Diary. If I write down what I'm putting into my mouth, it really makes me think if I really want to eat it. Can't say how many times I've put down something that looks scrumptious because it wasn't so hot for my bod! I'm a visual person, so something that really helps…
