  • That looks really good! I'll definitely have to make that sometime.
  • This is a really amazing site, I think you'll find it to be exactly what you need. I've been using this for almost a month and I couldn't be happier. I feel healthier, my endurance is way higher, and I constantly have a smile on my face!
  • Welcome to MFP! This site has helped me lose an amazing 4.5 pounds (though my ticker says 5) and it has been great! I plan to keep using this until I hit my goal weight of 125 and then continue to use it so I don't gain all the weight back that I lose! I wish you luck, but I know you won't need it :]
  • That sounds awesome! I try to work out 6 days a week, but sometimes it's only 5 days of a good workout then on the 6th day it's something simple. I hang out with my friends a lot on Fridays and Saturdays so that makes it more difficult, but I am only in highschool!
  • Try to get rid of anything with a lot of calories. Start keeping track again, and start doing some simple cardio exercises to get you motivated. I know it's hard to get started, but after that first day of hell, it's so much easier.
  • It's really your choice.. But you at least need to eat the 1200 calories, for sure.
  • It's been almost a month for me, and I haven't reached it yet either. I guess when I hit my goal weight, and want to keep my weight the same, then it'll probably seem more "normal" then. But what is normal? ;]
  • Awesome! I'm weening myself from any soda whatsoever. I haven't had regular soda in forever, just diet (when I have it), but one day I hope to not want it at all!
  • Fruit! It's filling and healthy. Granola bars (the healthy kind, a lot are filled with sugar!) Anything with fiber will have a little extra calories but will fill you up for a long time. Protein will help tide you over, and it also helps to repair your muscles. Veggies! When you eat them, it's realy easy to eat way too…
  • If I'm hungry, I try to occupy myself with anything I can think of. I always have a bottle of water near me, so when I think about food, I take a drink and find something else to distract me for a while. Good luck! I know you can do it!
  • I ordered the last chance workout and bob harper's cardio conditioning. I heard that Bob Harper's DVDs are pretty intense so maybe try one of those. It has an hour workout on it, along with a 25 minute one for beginners.
  • I like the Jillian Michaels whey protein. I'm currently using Body Fortress Advanced whey protein or something like that.. It doesn't taste very good, but I got a big thing of it. I think I'll go back to the Jillian Michaels - vanilla ;)
  • :) Thank you.
  • Congratulations! :) I know when I saw my first 2 pounds go, I knew I'd use this site until I reached my goal. You can do it!

  • Well, my mom told me that sometimes if you just stop your diet for a day and don't exercise, then the next day, your plateau should be gone. You could use that for a cheat day I guess. Or do a cheat meal and don't work out for one day. Or go on a walk if you don't want to not workout lol.
  • Wow, these are great ideas! I think a reward is really great incentive to work really hard. Thank you for the suggestions!
  • You can do it easy with this site! It's helped me so much. I've lost 3.5 pounds in about 2 weeks. I've got about 5.7 pounds to go. Good luck on your wonderful journey! :)

  • We're glad to have you here! I know you'll do just as well as I am on this journey. :) I'd say we can be friends, but I see your Steelers pic ;) I'm a Cowboys fan (didn't do so hot this year, eh?) I was cheering for the Jets and the Bears this year. Didn't get my wish.. Oh well, I'll lose the weight I want and be able to…
  • For breakfast, eat something light like a granola bar or a banana. Then a few hours later, do the same thing. By the time lunch comes, have something else that's light but a little more mealish. Maybe some grilled chicken or a salad. But not too much, because you have to remember your little snacks you've had up to that.
  • I agree with the replies so far. Maybe get some 100 calorie snack packs or dried fruit. Protein shakes are good too; they help repair your muscles and help hold off your hunger, or in your case, supply the calories you need.
  • Definitely take a rest! You should work different muscles different days.. Maybe make a workout schedule! That's what I'm gonna do when I get new workout dvds.
  • Jillian Michaels whey protein or body fortress advanced whey protein. That's what I've used.
  • The aricle above was really great! I'm gonna go take some pictures right now! :]
  • I'm from IL, too :] It sounds like you're rearin' to go! And prepared! That's always good. I have an elliptical trainer and I just stocked up on healthy foods this weekend when I went shopping. I hope you do good on your journey, and I'll be here if you need anything.
  • My fingers are crossed for you, but I know you won't need it! :]
  • Get Up - Mayday Parade is a good beat one for me :)
  • You should totally treat yourself every once in a while. You have to reward yourself for doing good, but don't go crazy! Just Friday sounds good, no Triple Chocolate Tuesday or anything okay?! Lol :}
  • I'm sorry to hear about your child.. But this site is so amazing! I know you can do this, because if I can, anyone can! Out of all the calorie counting sites I've tried, this one is by far the best. I've only been using it a week, and that's already longer than any of the others I've used :) I'm here if you need anything!
  • I know you can do this! Imagine yourself where you want to be, then use that as motivation to get there. That's what I've been doing, and I've managed to work out all week.
  • I just copied and pasted this into my "easy recipes" notes on my laptop :)
