Congratulations! I had the same thing happening. I lost 12lbs and no one really noticed, but don't worry, they will. My husband had lost over 20 before many people said anything to hiim. Sometimes people notice, they just don't say anything right away. Keep it up!

Thanks everyone...for the encouragement and the friend adds. Never thought I'd be an inspiration to anyone else, and that means a lot! For those of you starting the Shred...just do what you can. I couldn't always do Natalie's moves, but you get stronger fast. After my leg heals, I am going to attempt Jillian's new…

You can buy it at Walmart for around $10. It's a Jillian Michaels workout that incorporates circuit training...it's tough, but it is SO worth the pain...lol!

That's great! Doesn't it feel good to keep finding those things that make you remember each day why you are doing this? Congratulations and keep up the great work!

I will tell you from experience that the calories you are eating matter. I was sticking to only 1200 cals a day and exercising a lot. I went for two weeks with no loss. As soon as I increased my cals to around 1400-1500 a day, I started losing again. I don't always eat all of mine back, but I make sure to eat at least that…

I totally agree with you! Every time they read a vote for Arthur, I said, "stupid" and got more mad! They are definitely selfish! I think that not only does Kaylee not have that much left to lose, but she could do just fine at home now if she put her mind to it. I was very disappointed by that too. The parents had been so…

Sure...we can use all the support we can get!

I remember talking to my mom one time about a friend who had gotten to almost 300 lbs and I couldn't imagine ever letting myself get over 200. Well, here I sit, over that mark by a bit! I don't remember when it became okay to me, but NO MORE! Thanks for posting this, it remimded me again of what all this work is really…

Think I'll be getting that! I have done the Shred for 22 days straight and am trying to figure out what to do after the 30 days are up. This will help me mix it up...thanks for the info!

I logged it as circuit training at first, and then I made my own exercise titled "30 Day Shred." I use my actual calories burned now because I can keep track with my Bodymedia.

Welcome...sending you a request. This is a great place for support!

I injured my one of my knees playing softball in high school and I don't have any problems with it. I have done all three levels. However, my husband was doing it with me and it bothered his knees terribly, so I think it depends on the person. The need for surgery makes me think it might be better to do the other things.

I already have 2 and was just thinking the other day that this might be a nice reward for myself. It would probably be on my ankle or lower back. Not sure what I would get yet, but something that would symbolize my triumph over my weight issues!
-
My husband also does it with me. It is a hard workout for him too, but I think that he likes that it's a challenge that promises results in a shorter amount of time.

I only calculate it at 20 minutes. That's about how long it is.

Great achievement!! Way to stick with it and be successful! Congrats!

It will totally feed your addiction, but come on and join the club!!

Holy Crap! I saw an episode of "My Strange Addiction" where someone did that with toilet paper. It wasn't to lose weight, but I can't believe that someone would do it for that reason. And I thought I had weight issues. Sad!

I have the 4 Big Miles one...totally love it!!

I plan on trying to get back to Tae Bo. It kicks my butt, so I'm hoping after doing the Shred, I'll be able to keep up with it better. It's definitely a great workout!

I just did my 10th day! I was really sore after the first workout, and I just went up to Level 2 yesterday and am slightly sore in my shoulders today. I'm seeing changes in my shape but have lost no weight to date. It's a tough workout, but so worth it!

I see your point, but have heard a lot of people that have quit say that the reason they put on weight has less to do with being hungry and more to do with the idea of replacing one habit with another habit. Putting food in your mouth seems to be a substitute for many for putting a cigarette there. So, I think there are…

Today was my ninth day doing the Shred. I am seeing results already. I can see it in my legs, waist and hips and some in my arms. It's a killer workout, but it slowly gets easier. If you can keep with it, I really do think you'll see results.

Mine...loseit4ever =what I want to do with my extra weight, or what my kids are going to cause me to do with my mind...lol!!

I lost my job back in November when the company I worked for suddenly closed its doors. I was in shock and even though I wasn't superbly happy in my job, I was scared about what it would mean for my family. I was depressed at first, but after a short time, I realized that this was my opportunity to improve so many aspects…

I recently started the 30 Day Shred and I couldn't do it without stopping at first, but I think her attitude made me want it even more! I'm am very overweight and it only took me a few days to get to a point that I feel I can hang in there. Some days are better than others, though! She's definitely about tough love!

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions and comments. It's interesting to read each person's different perspective. I know being impatient isn't really going to get me anywhere, but it's something I struggle with all the time. I also am not trying to use it as a way to make an excuse to quit, that's what I would have done…

@missie21...We leave on the 17th of March. One month to go! I know I still have some time, so I am trying to focus on that and just keep working out hard, and eating right. The crazy thing is, it's not like I didn't know this was coming! I waited too long to get a good head start...it was always, "I'll start tomorrow." So,…

Welcome! This is a great place to find a lot of support! The people on here are great! I'll add you and try to help support you however I can!

I hear ya! I have the hardest time giving up my diet soda! I will go for a day or two without drinking it and then I'm right back to it. I am really trying to cut down on it because of the sodium. A lot of diet soda has enough sodium that as you add it up, it makes your sodium for a day outrageous! It's just one of the…
