  • Welcome to the group!! This is one of the best groups of people to keep you motivated and support you in any way possible. I am glad to have every single one of them on my list of friends! Together we are all going to get where we want to be!
  • Congrats on the smaller clothes!! That's great! I've decided to find one thing in a size I still can't wear that is going to be my next goal item because I've hit all my original ones! Time to find something else to strive for. Keep up the good work!
  • I know first-hand how crazy and hectic it can be, but there are two things I can tell you that may or may not help. Fitting in even a small amount of exercise really helps alleviate the stress for me. I got away from that for a while, but I'm trying to make myself remember that and just do it. Also, on days I know I…
  • Hey Peeps! How's everyone doing with the challenge so far?? I'm doing really well this week, so I'm excited! For some reason when I decided organize this, all my determination came back!! I'm going to let us all get through this first week, and then I'm going to start doing some challenges for prizes here and there. I know…
  • OMG...I STILL need to try this! I WILL do it Friday. It looks so good!
  • I just finished week 1 today, after doing it for the second week. I didn't feel like I was at a point to move on yet, so I did it again. I find that my speed depends on the day, and I have jogged a number of the segments at 4.0 mph. Do what works for you...your body will lead you in the right direction. I jogged a bit more…
  • I know what you mean. I have done the same thing. I went long enough without a workout when I started classes that I felt like I had lost all the progress I had made. Now, I'm trying to get back what I lost and get back to the point that I don't feel like avoiding it anymore. I loved it when I got into a routine. Keep on…
  • I am currently unemployed. I like it, but it doesn't pay well...ha! I used to be a teacher, but burned out majorly and left my job. I was a bookkeeper/office manager and loved it but lost my job because the company I was working for was sold and the new owner was a crook(for real) and he got shut down. I am now getting a…
  • I do my exercise when my sixteen month old is napping, or I just do things I can do with her around. Leslie Sansone has great dvds for that, and I also use my Wii and do dancing that I can do in smaller groups of time to get the burn in. Hope that helps!
  • I wear BodyMedia and my actual cals burned are always lower than what MFP says. I think it really depends on the person, how hard you are actually working during any given workout, etc. It's a great resource when you don't have another one, and I think it gives a great ballpark, but I think the HRMs and BodyMedia are more…
  • You look really great! Congratulations on your success so far!
  • I have BodyMedia Fit, and I LOVE it! I have had it since February and I feel like I can't live without it now. I got mine from Costco for $150 with a free 12 month subscription to the website. I had heard that the support for them was not great, but I had an issue with mine quitting while on vacation and when I returned, I…
  • I recently started deleting people who were not supportive, but this is mainly because I try to be very supportive of my group and need the support in return. As your group grows, it gets harder to be a good support to everyone, so I try to keep my group small enough that it is manageable. I don't delete often, and it's…
  • Great post...and you're right, you will get there. You just have to do it the way it works for you! 6lbs in a month is wonderful too! It's healthy! Congrats and keep it up!
  • I was just thinking about this today! I have some clothes that I wore when I was working that will no longer fit, so I was wondering if there would be anyone interested in having them. Interested to see what your responses are to this.
  • See my profile...my pictures are 24 days progress. I took pics on day 4 and again on day 28. I couldn't do the last two days because I tore my calf muscle, but I did it every day for those 28 days and saw great results. Good luck!
  • I do not always eat all my exercise calories back, but I do not eat 1200 either. I had to find what worked for me. I tend to eat around 1300-1500 depending on the day. Sometimes I eat some back, sometimes I don't. I wasn't losing at 1200 cals. My progress is sporadic. I lose a small amount one week and then the next it's…
  • I was about 70ish pounds overweight when I started it, and I had great success with it. If you do it every day, you'll see progress quickly. It almost killed me at first, but after a few days, I started to feel better about it. My best advice is to do it for a few days in a row even if you're sore. It helps work through…
  • I stay at home with my one year old and my four year old and I have a lot of different workouts I use. I use the Wii Fit, Just Dance 2, 30 Day Shred, Leslie Sansone, Slim in 6, and Tae Bo. I usually try to do them while my daughter is napping, but sometimes I can do the Leslie Sansone walking dvd while she is awake. Just…
  • If you want to see the results I had, you are welcome to go to my profile and look at my before and after pics. The befores are 4 days into the Shred and the afters are after day 28. I did it every single day for 28 days and then suffered an injury that forced me to stop. I felt that my progress in the 24 days between…
  • I also had 3 c-sections and I am struggling with this area too. When I see my doctor next month, I plan to ask for some specific exercises that can help this area. My middle child was 10lbs 12 oz, so I have a lot to overcome!!
  • I have Bodymedia, which is the same basic thing, and I was having the same problem. Someone suggested I wear it on my calf while I ride the bike and it works a lot better. I find my cals burned now are a lot closer to what my bike says. It also registers your ride in terms of steps better.
  • I did the 30 Day Shred for 28 days straight and I have before and after pics on my profile. I actually took the pics four days in, so the results are in 24 days. I had to stop on the 29th day due to a leg injury, but I'm going to do Ripped in 30 as soon as I'm healed. Feel free to look at my pics. I loved to hate it while…
  • I did the Shred for 28 days(I hurt my calf on the 29th and had to stop) and the first two weeks I didn't lose anything. I talked to a friend who is very fitness knowledgeable. He told me a couple of things. 1) you don't build muscle fast enough to account for a gain or even really staying the same over a weeks time. 2)…
  • I only find myself wanting to do this when I know I'm going to be over in my cals. Now, I'm just trying to be up-front with myself about it and if I eat too much, I make myself do the exercise to counteract it. I usually log my food estimates high if I don't know that exact numbers. That way, I know I'm not hurting myself…
  • Amazing progress! You should be proud of what you've accomplished! Congrats!
  • I am currently a stay at home mom too and I can relate to the computer thing! Welcome and I'll send a request to you and we can help support each other through this long battle!
  • Yes!! A huge difference! It is SO noticeable in your face. You are doing super and looking great! Congrats and keep up all the hard work!
  • I recently injured my calf and found a great upper body cardio workout online. It's intended for people who can't get out of bed, but I did it standing. Google "upper body cardio" and a link to a routine by Laurel House. It's intense and I modified it and used some weights, but I burned a ton. She also has a great butt…
