Milk naturally contains sugar. It was designed to give all nutrients to a baby cow, sugar, protein, and fats. Good luck with your goals.

Love my Wii. The Wii is cheaper than the Kinect if that's a factor for you. Honestly I got a good workout with EA Sports and Gold's Gym Dance when I first started. Now about 1 yr later, I'm in much better shape and it take a Gillian Michael's DVD to really kick my butt.

I think I depends on frequency and why you are doing it. There have actually been some studies on religious fasting and it having some health benefits. This usually involves fasting once a month. Religious fast sometimes permit limited quantities of food or only at specific times with increased meditation. I think if you…

The only time I've had anything like that was when I threw my back out. My best guess is you lower abdominal muscles are not strong enough yet to do the exercises. Maybe do only crunches instead of full sit-ups and doing slow controlled single leg lowers instead of reverse crunches. If this is spilling over into your daily…

This should be accounted for in your daily activity levels. If it something you do everyday then it's you daily activity level.

Way to go. No better nsv than buying clothes you never thought you'd fit into.

Kids are just like adults in that they will eat what they are used to. I've been slowly improving the overall quality of my meals and my kids, about the same age, really haven't complained. Unfortunately a good rule of thumb is the more you have to do the better it is for you to eat. I make chicken fajitas for my family. I…

way to go. I'm hoping to get my ring resized soon too.

It could be one of several things depending on what the "clicking" sounds like. It it sounds more like a "pop" such as popping you knuckles. This comes from over stretching the joint capsule and the bones sliding excessively over each other. Popping may also be caused by a tendon or ligament being pulled out of place and…

It's very common to see a big weight loss early on as your body learns to adjust to the new level of calories you are providing. I think how long it last varies from person to person. You will plateau at some point. So don't be discouraged when it happens. Congrats on your early success. I hope it last a long time!

I prefer the soccer guy look, some muscle definition but not ripped.

I plan to take Christmas day and Thanksgiving day off but not to completely let myself go. I find I do better if I give myself a break once in awhile.

I think you need to establish some ground rules. Your BFF can allow her kide to run wild at her house but you are queen of your own castle. If they don't like it, they can go home. If they drive you too crazy then have adult only time with your friend.

I have the same problem. I find having a glass of water in front of me helps. Then I will absentmindedly drink it. I figure if I can eat too many chips while not paying attention, maybe I can drink enough water by not paying attention.

Ouch. Oh well. Live and learn.

Welcome to MFP! Good luck meeting you fitness goals! Sounds like you have the right idea about changing one thing at a time. If you slowly change your life for the better you are more likely to stick to it than a huge sudden change. Lots of baby steps quickly add up to life changing habits.

To protect your knees while squating always keep your knees behind your toes. In other words stick out your butt like you're about to sit in a chair. You ankles should not be moving, just your knees and hips. I hope this helps.

Looks like you've already lost 55 pounds. Just use that as your mantra, "I've already lost a lot of weight. I can lose more!"

You should talk with the doctor who prescribed the beta blockers as to how much it slows yyour metabolism. Tell him your desires to lose weight and I'm sure he could help you. That being said upping your calories by 100 per day should take you 35 day to gain one pound as there are 3500 calories in a pound. I recommend…

I'd say it depends on how you are working out. cardio everyday is probably okay. But give your body a day off between weight training or switch upper body one day and lower body the next. To build muscle you break down existing muscle that needs time to repair. As far as the knee pain, never let your knee go in front of…

Yes you can do it. Your progress so far is awesome!

The recipe above looks right except you need 1/4 a cup of tahini paste (ground seseme seeds). Usually in grocery stotres but i buy mine from amazon.com.

OTC is over the counter, i.e. not prescription

You might try drinking more water too. I often find i'm fatigued when i'm dehydrated.

Some of that is because you live in a big city. Where i live, my closest neighbor is .5 mile away. The closest gas station is 5 miles away. The closest store is 30 miles a way. When I worked, i had to drive 45 minutes one way to get there. So I'm actually happy for you that you have this opportunity but not all of us do.

Awesome. Way to go!

Are you used to eating fiber? It takes some time for the body to get used to having higher levels of fiber in your diet. This is stated right on the box. You might consider eating half a bar for a while and work your way up to a full bar. Also up your water intake. My doc said fiber doesno good without lots of water.

I'm praying for you. It sounds like you are going through some very difficult times. Do you have a religious leader whom you can talk to? He/she might be able to help you sort through your emotions and any solutions your faith may bring. God has not called all to be parents and he still loves you. If parenting is a must…
