Morning Workout JMBR P1/W4/Cardio 1 I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not a fan of this cardio workout but today was my final time doing it because on Monday I move on to Phase 2 of Jillian Michaels' Body Revolution. Not sure if I will be able to keep up but I'm going to give it my all. (Rob is out of town…

@muppetfan13 You have a great goal and I know you can do it in spite of your barriers. I have severe osteoarthritis (diagnosed last summer) and cervical vertigo (diagnosed after over a year of being in bed in 2008) and it's been hard for me to find the right combination of diet and exercise to get to where I've experienced…

@rainey4 Great results. We have a results thread and a daily check-in thread. I have a feeling your results and check-ins are getting lost in this thread because it's about a specific question unrelated to results/check-ins. But wherever you post them, your results are awesome!

Last time doing Workouts 3 & 4. Monday I begin workouts 5 & 6 and do Cardio 2. Feeling a little anxious because I am not as confident about my ability as I would like. However, I managed to do more than 1 push-up for the first time in my life. Not bad given that I'm 53 and my goal was to do 10 full body push-ups by June…

So did you find a blender fast? I hope so. I know that making myself a protein shake can take the edge off my ice cream cravings for sure. :)

Yesterday I had a rushed morning because my son and I were heading to get my x-rays done (hip and ankle) and wouldn't you know it, the PiYo workout for yesterday was the longest. Hoping the doctor's office will call me today with results from the x-ray and tell me what I can and should do about the pain. Morning Workout:…

@jenstanley13 I'm sure if you google it, you can find it online. If not, you could see if your local library has her cookbook or one of her books that has a diet plan in it. Almost all of her books include recipes and meal plans. And practically every public library has multiple copies of her books on hand.

Injured myself this morning and now I have a bruised knuckle but I still finished my workout and then did another one afterwards. I'd say it was a very good morning workout. How is everyone else doing?
-
Injured myself while doing JMBR. Just my knuckle but ouch! Update About My Mother She now has two working DVDs and yesterday she did Upper Body Fix. She is loving the workouts even if she's not necessarily keeping up with everything and everyone. She's 75. I think she's doing amazingly well! Morning Workout JMBR…

@venuila From my experience, weight loss follows a certain pattern. 1) You start and you pretty much struggle on your own. You may have told others and they may or may not be supportive but most of it is you and your commitment. 2) You start feeling a difference, maybe even see a difference, but others aren't seeing it . .…

The 3 Day Quick Fix is part of the 21 Day Fix program and you should find an insert about it in with the other things you received with the DVDs. The 21 Day Fix app includes a way to track doing the 3 Day Quick Fix as well. Basically, it's just a simplified meal plan you do for three days that has very little variety and…

Yes, people do seem to hate this program. That's why some of us make a point to tell people on the general boards about this group. It's unfortunate that some people think it's more important to tear people and their choices down than encourage and support others on their journey. In the meantime, to answer your question,…

I'm beginning to think I'm talking to myself here, LOL! :p I successfully used 7.5/10 lbs and yesterday I watched the next level of workouts and I don't think it will be too hard for me. I may drop to lower weights, just to be on the safe side to get my form on point before pushing myself. I want to look at the last DVDs…
-
@basmith0702 Oh good golly yes. I totally get it. That whole judgmental thing about "well if your weight loss is stalled you must not be measuring right or you aren't being honest when you track your food because CICO is God" or whatever. Ugh. I encourage everyone to follow the plan as is at first and, if you start…

Morning Workout JMBR P1/W4/Workout 4 Used 7.5/10 lbs today with no problem. It was tough but I toughed it out. I didn't notice anything off about my balance. PiYo W4/D2/Core I fell out of side plank today. I had been thinking of doing Hard Core on the Floor after Core but I decided to watch the DVD before giving it a go…

@activefatgirl Yes, if there is no sodium added, I don't see why not. However, frozen would be better and, of course, fresh is considered best (although there's some debate about that but there's almost always a debate about something).
-
@activefatgirl Unfortunately, most of my weight loss the past few months has been the result of doing the 3 Day Quick Fix and, while it is very effective, I really can't see doing that every week just to drop 1-3 every three weeks. I've been losing the past few weeks because of vacation indulgence but this past week I saw…

@basmith0702 I think we have at least one person who is not strictly following the food plan and I'm sure they'll chime in but I have a few questions for you. 1) Have you tried the 1300 food bracket? If your answer is No, I would encourage you to follow the plan as it is designed. Beachbody hires experts and test markets…
-
@sari_endipity08 The only suggestion I have is read page 76 of the Food Plan. Autumn suggests that if you are going to do 21DF and another program you want to add more calories to your meals which may (and probably will) move you up to a higher food bracket. If you plan on doing both, you'll want to consider your…

Sorry I forgot to check in on Day 3. I had a great day hanging out with my friends and managed to stay on track. Lost 1.4 lbs this time around. Now I just need to figure out how to lose weight without doing 3DQF.
-
@mscote12 Awesome! It's definitely less boring than 30DS and Ripped in 30 and whatever other JM DVD I have. (I forget what that third one is. LOL!) I mean, I don't like the cardio one that much but I just remind myself that I only have to do it 2x a week and for the first month. Next week, I change not only the strength…
-
@_ankylosaurus_ I think it's a good program for beginners. I know that the schedule has you doing the same workout six days out of the week. I don't think this is a good idea. Working the muscles, day after day, in the same manner, puts undue strain on them. So I modified the schedule. The program comes with 3 dics with…

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Mine was busier than I'm used to and spent time with a couple of my friends on Saturday. Yesterday I haven't really been feeling anything in my abs but tightness. No DOMS at all. So I figured I'd go ahead and give Rob's ab workout a try. Yep. Yesterday I decided to do P90 Abs Ripper B.…

I still can't do push-ups and I'm beginning to doubt my readiness for moving onto the next set of DVDs next week. I had to drop down to 5 lbs on the lateral lifts, my knee was not happy while doing camels, and it just wasn't one of my better days. *sigh* Also, I haven't really been feeling much in my abs, even though I've…

I'm waiting for the infomercial because everything I've seen online from people doing it seems to include a lot of high impact and I want to see if there's a low impact modifier.

@sevans85mfp Have you considered starting with one meal and moving forward from there? If you tend to skip breakfast, maybe take the time to look over the meal plans and start with the breakfast suggestions. Then look over the recipes and see if you can find any overlap. For instance, on page 15 both recipes use Greek…

Alternately, you can google "shakeology alternatives" and find similar products that don't cost as much. Some of these alternative meal replacement shakes also have samples you can buy to "taste drive," as it were. Also, bear in mind that not all vitamins and/or minerals are water soluble and those that aren't can and will…
-
@AngieLynnG Unfortunately, I posted this back in May and I've already finished Slim in 6. I've moved onto two other programs: Jillian Michaels' Body Revolution and Chalene Johnson's PiYo. There's probably room for a group here on MFP but I won't be doing the program again until 2016 after I've done a few other programs…
-
@mscote12 I definitely don't find it as redundant and boring as I did 30DS and every 2 weeks, you advance to the next level of workout. I've lost 6 lbs since starting it (albeit, I'm also doing PiYo) so I definitely think it's a good program. Still following the 21DF meal plan, however. Morning Workout JMBR P1/W3/Rest Day…
