  • I never would have thought of that one!
  • Pass but very pretty smile! :)
  • It's always been my head....always having to wear bandana's to control how much sweat hits my face. Hate when it drips down into my eyes. And ever since I started hardcore cardio this time around (compared to 6 years ago in college) is my bottom. I never used to and now....yuck. I have been on the hunt for comfy black…
  • 29 here, preparing for the big 3-0 in a few months. >.< Feel free to add me, I'm almost there! LOL :)
  • This is such a great subject. I struggle, still, with stress AND boredom eating. It was all psychological. I was unhappy in my relationship, lonely, bored, sometimes-depressed and I craved Taco Bell, McD's, etc. I'd eat it with no regard for portions and then I was wondering why my stomach was growling again a few hours…
  • When I first joined MFP, I was hungry all the time at 1200/day. I exercised and ate about half of my exercise calories and was still hungry all the time. Then I changed my daily intake to about 1700/day, whether I exercise or not. I'm far better off and started losing again. I also started incorporating even more fresh…
  • Just like many, I love carbs. I eat them daily but try not to go crazy with how much. This is why: when I start eating carbs, for instance pasta and/or garlic bread, I want to keep eating. I love the taste and seem to have a control issue with it. So I guess I limit some items so that I don't go bananas on my calories and…
  • I also go shopping a couple times a week usually, once with my stepmom, and once on my own. For myself I usually always keep these items on the list and in stock: Raspberries and/or strawberries Organic spring mix/spinach (farmers market and meijer) Kale (occ. for smoothies) small kurd lowfat cottage cheese chicken breasts…
  • Congrats on your progress and incredible loss! It is very inspiring and I thank you for sharing this with us. Keep us updated!! :)
  • I have found this in the time I've been on MFP. I'll be warm by the time I finish my first glass of wine. Light beer doesn't affect me as much like that. I usually have 1 night a week where I have a glass of wine or perhaps a beer. On weekends, I'll usually grab one bottle of wine or a few (2-3) beers. Now tonight, is…
  • Amen! Not saying that it's good for you. Most fast food is not. But people still eat it and while there's chemicals or unknown risk factors at McD's, there is everywhere else. You think it hasn't happened at a steakhouse? A diner? A fine dining establishment? No one wants to think it but unless you make it, you don't know…
  • This is what I am dealing with now and this explains it very well. I've been holding water for about one week now and it's different for each person and also how much sodium you take in daily. I'm not worried this time around because years ago, it took me about two weeks to finally drop my water weight after new…
  • You may be the only yooper! :) Awesome to see so many MI peeps. And yes, I will get up to TC soon.....I love wine too much not to go. Maybe towards the end of summer if I behave. :) Plus, I'm working hard on finding a good job I can be in for a long time and will let me drink lots of water! LOL :)
  • Oh I see plenty on FB!! I thought cats were cool before they blew up online! LOL! :)
  • Congrats on your work thus far!! :) I did WW about seven years ago in college and I lost about 39 lbs. And then I went into maintenance and gained it all back, and then some. Diets don't work for me and I end up going off the deep end after I've reached my goal. Ever since I started really thinking about what I was eating,…
  • I have crocheted for over ten years. I think that may make me an old lady already. I'm just missing my cat. But I will probably have one soon! LOL
  • I am 29, just broke off an engagement, and have no kids. I'm starting all over and focusing on myself for now. If love comes, it comes. I'm not looking for it. I know how you feel because it seems that all my friends are married and a truckload of them just had babies in the last couple months!!! It can get to you if you…
  • You can change what dietary aspects you measure on your diary in the settings section. I watch my fiber that way in my food diary. :)

  • I wouldn't mind entering a marathon but I have no experience (or am ready) in running. I'd have to walk. It's intimidating and would like to complete one at least once in the future. Good luck to those training and getting ready to walk/run! :)
  • I love Camel!!! Feels so good when you relax into it! I used to get dizzy when I started doing it on my Kundalini Yoga DVDs last year. However, you have to relax your throat and navel areas, and make sure you push you thighs and hips forward. You can move back more easily and that's what holds you. :)
  • I am on level 1 also. Have done it about five times in last week. Really like it because I love my yoga and this is kicked up! Haven't looked at level 2 yet because I struggle alot with holding myself in the side plank and I want to get that under control before moving on. :)

  • I am also new to this group and working to transition myself to a cleaner lifestyle. I have started buying snacks and main food items (milk, eggs, bread) clean but actual meals and what not can be difficult and costly right now. I'm hoping once farmer's market season starts the 20th, I'll be better prepared and inspired,…

  • What a good topic and what great tips on various poses!!! Very inspiring everyone! :) Headstand is a pose that is a goal sometime in the near future, not sure if that would be one for the next year though. My goal pose is perfecting wheel pose. I was finally able to get myself up and positioned correctly but couldn't stay…
  • Howdy! I've heard of it but never been. I want to try to get myself up to TC sometime. Grew up in MI and never been. Perhaps because I don't like cherries. ;)
