In my opinion, all addictions resolved gradually decreasing the amount. The body and the mind must accustom to the new scenario. Try to substitute human sugar ( sucrose, coca, soda, cake, ect. ) with God sugar (fruit). The difference is the fiber that do not increase the insulin (and the fat).

In my opinion, the only fat burning food is water, because it have 0 calorie. In general, fat burning food means stimulant drug metabolism with water like tea, coffee, etc in moderate amount.

In my opinion, it is good to eat before a workout in the range of your daily nutritional needs. After, it feels more hunger pangs and you tend to eat more.

Try green beans boiled or tomatoes for salad with balsamic vinegar to replace pasta. But remember, spaghetti/pasta is not carb junkie. You only need to moderate amount.
