In fact, I'm quite sore today from Tuesday's workout....I've got dead lifts today! I know you said you followed the book to a T.....did you follow his meal plans as well and/or add other foods as well?…

I'm dealing with this myself and have been going to a podiatrist for months....trying not to have surgery. If the pain is worse in the morning, I'd say go ahead and go see a podiatrist first. It's better to get things under control before your injure yourself further. It's hard listening to your body when it's in pain, but…

I appreciate it when someone takes the time to read my posts or look at my progress pictures and give a compliment or word of encouragement. I've read many success stories since I've been on MFP and looked at countless progress pictures. They've helped me to succeed myself. What great motivation especially when you're…

My son's (and husband) get a real kick out of what people say...so do I. You all bless my life abundantly and I could not have made it this far without such a…

My cardio is a mix of the following: Power walking (4.5 - 7.5 miles usually), step aerobics, step aerobics w/ weights, Biggest Loser Boot Camp, and Biggest Loser Cardio Max. I have just begun "The New Rules of Lifting for Women" (NROL4W) book by Lou Schuler. So, I've cut way back on cardio during Stage 1 of my…

Way to go! Great dedication and determination. Even though the weight loss on NROL4W has been small, your pictures from one month, to another, to another speak volumes for the program and your hard work. I'm in Stage one of NROL4W and so far, I'm loving it. My upper body strength is weak and needs much improvement. I'm…

I do this routine at home...I'm in stage 1 of the workout. I have an Olympic set at home, a weight bench, cable machine with weights, dumbbells, power tower, aerobic step, and stability ball. So far, I haven't run into any exercise that I can't do at home yet. I LOVE the program and I highly recommend it! Someone above…

My pictures are already in another 5'11" post, but I'll add them here for you to see also. I am 5'11" with an hourglass figure and a small frame (my wrists are tiny and I only wear an 8-8.5 shoe). My progress so far is 45 pounds lost. I started a year ago and was about to go up to a Size 18 which was a turning point for…

QUESTION: I'm trying to get off of this plateau I've been on since October, and among other reasons, I'm hoping that weightlifting is a perfect solution to breaking my plateau. I've increased my calories to "maintenance" as Lou suggested in the book, and I just started NROL4W. So far, I've completed the first three…

I'm a big New Rules of Lifting for Women fan. The book is great and the workouts are FUN. I wish I would have started heavy lifting before I lost most of my weight. I've heard lots of people say that you don't need to wait until you lose your weight first. Had I started the heavy lifting 11 months ago, there's no doubt in…

I love Moe's. You can really get great tasting meals for low calorie counts too. In fact, I've eaten at Moe's weekly and lost 45 pounds doing so. Most days I skip the chips and queso, but I love Moe's fresh ingredients. I tend to get the Joey Jr Streaker with no rice and it's very low cal. For a family of four, it's better…
