Sleeping beside my partner is important to me, I need that closeness and intimacy. I usually have a hard time falling asleep but when I'm cuddled up to my boyfriend, I can fall asleep so much easier.

Me too. Especially home made cheesecake or brownies. I usually end up eating more of a portion of those than I intend to but they're only made every once in a while so I try not to stress about it and just enjoy it.

It all depends on your goals and personal preferences. I personally prefer whole milk and occasionally, vanilla almond milk.

I'd say it's a good start but for anorexia recovery you need about 2500+ calories a day for weight restoration and other internal repairs. If you could add foods high in fat (ex: nuts, seeds, butter, full fat dairy products) on top of what you're already eating that would help you add more calories to your daily intake…

You too! I'm here if you'd like someone to talk to. :) I wish you the best, recovery is hard (and scary at times) but it has been the greatest thing I could do for myself. Just never give up on yourself and keep getting back up when you fall. Recovery is so worth it. :flowerforyou:

You're all SO sweet, thanks for the support and encouraging words. :flowerforyou:

I eat a few of those things (chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds, coconut oil, etc) because I enjoy them. Some of the benefits I have noticed from incorporating them into my diet are better digestion and staying fuller for longer periods of time.

+1 Thank you.

I love yogurt, especially greek yogurt.

I eat cottage cheese with vanilla greek yogurt, flavored protein powder, fruits, jam, peanut butter, etc. Not all at once, though. But it generally includes a mix of something to give it a sweeter flavor base and some fruit like berries.

I have terrible anxiety and was prescribed Xanax for it in the past because I'd have panic attacks multiple times daily. Now, I only take them as I need them (which is *very* rarely). What helps me in reducing my anxiety is listening to relaxation playlists on Youtube, doing yoga, drinking chamomile tea, cutting down on…

Interesting.

Thanks everyone!!

Coffee, coconut oil, dried fruit, yogurt, peanut butter. I've found that those things help me the most.

These sound good

Bloating is normal in the early stages of recovery. It's not going to go away unless you keep up with a consistent intake of food. It can last anywhere from a few weeks to a few months but it does get easier.

Yes!! I love this stuff.

Eat the whole egg.

You can cause electrolyte imbalances by drinking too much water. Just drink enough so that your urine is a pale yellow color, don't force yourself to drink water like it's going out of style.

The brand of protein powder I use is Kaizen (I buy the Natural Vanilla Bean flavor) and it has 120 calories per scoop, 24g protein, 3g carbs, 1g fat, and 2g sugar.
-
3/4 cup of greek yogurt with a scoop of protein powder and some fruit on the side is my go-to.
-
This is something I'd suggest you consider, OP.
-
I almost always make my protein shakes with 2% milk or whole milk it tastes better and adds a bit more protein. The time you have your protein shake doesn't really matter.
-
I cannot stand some greek yogurt but I love Liberte 2% Vanilla greek yogurt and Greek Gods Honey Vanilla yogurt. Try some different brands and flavors.

To me it sounds like anorexia binge-purge sub-type. I'd suggest she talk to a professional before it gets worse.

Yes, caffeine is a stimulant. I had to stop drinking coffee because I was having panic attacks due to it.
