EX RAF, was in shape whilst in, developed diabetes was told I had to leave, got depressed and then fat. Wasn't good in the long run so now I am only 2kg off my original RAF weight. So all good again.

I like the idea of nutrient dense foods as that is how I like to eat anyway, but I still need to calorie count to ensure I keep to my goals if I'm honest.

Keep going, it's hard work, but worth it. I am the same as yourself, busy worklife etc and I too did not want to change my life drastically that I was no longer doing the things I enjoy, as for me, that wouldn't have been sustainable. However, by simple exercising and logging my food here I have dropped just over 16kg…

Yesterday I did 8 mins on the treadmill, 8 on the rowing machine, 8 on the cross trainer and 8 mins on the bike followed by an ab routine and 1.5 hrs of karate. Tonight will be all over body muscle edurance weight routine.

Just over a year ago I came out of a 15 year relationship, pretty messy end, but have recently signed up to match.com as really don't have the time at the moment to go out and meet someone the old fashioned way. However, not really having spent much time on the app as yet, I either come across as really dull, possible too…

Managed to complete the 3 fairly well going at a good pace for all 3. Was tough but fun and sure I will be feeling it more tomorrow than today, although my legs are aching already lol.

Thanks for the advice. Yes I always work as hard as I can, but not being a cyclist, it will be interesting. Definitely take up the advice of the energy drink though as being back to back classes I will need something.

To be fair I signed up to their free email newsletter and it does have some good stuff and links to healthy recipes and free work outs. These I have found to be very useful, but I wouldn't drop any cash on it as most of the stuff you can work out for yourself with a bit of research and google-fu.

Definitely think it is his loss as you are very attractive and no one should really be dumped just because of their weight, he probably used it as an excuse as too cowardly to tell you how he truly felt to your face, so to speak. I have never been dumped due to my weight, as for most of my life I have been in reasonable…

Since I started this weightloss journet (before MFP) I have lost the fats and oils an average American eats in a year

Went to a fitting for my friends wedding and got asked if I was normally a 36 inch waist to which I replied I was normally 38 (down from 44 :)) to which she replied, well we will fit you for a 34 as that should hang nicely. Along with the comment that she thought I would look better in the fitted waistcoat and jacket. Well…

Legs is the word of the day, lets go back to your place and spread the word. Is that a ladder in your tights or the stairway to heaven. Are you a mechanic? Cos I can feel my nuts tighten. FAT POLAR BEAR, I just needed something that would break the ice. I'm a maths teacher, so why don't me and you go back to your place,…

I had a 30kg food baby, now my abs look pretty good, does that count? Sorry couldn't resist, no offence intended.

I've actually completed Insanity twice and got great cardio results and lost a fair amount of weight. But I do have to agree with Jeremywm1977 as it is quite demanding on knees, back and ankles. I even occassionally got quite nasty cramp in my calves when doing it which would force me to stop for a few seconds to minutes.…

Was diagnosed at age 27, supposedly very young for a white male, but them are the breaks (did find out it was in the family on my father's side eventually though). Things got bad in the last 3 years and I ended up on insulin, but now due to weightloss and a lot of exercise weekly I am off of insulin and lowering slowly all…

Briefly reading through all of this I have seen a lot of the fat shaming of women blamed on men, but I think this goes both ways and both sexes are equally as bad as each other. For example, I was always fit, always in relatively good shape until medication change and a bad breakup casued me to stop caring about myself and…

Not sure if it's a compliment or not but one of the trainers was impressed with the 'male' cleavage I have managed to develop. Think it's a good thing lol.

After my ex left, I realised I was less stressed and started putting myself first for a change and so far I have now started eating healthier food and have lost 4.5 stone so far. In an immature way, when I pick up my daughter, I do secretly like the fact that my ex has possibly put on the same amount of weight in fat…

Surprisingly being diagnosed as diabetic didn't do it for me as I was technically fit and in shape as I was still in the military then. I then used the medication as an excuse for why I piled on the weight, avoided mirrors and ignored my friends comments that I was becoming a 'big' guy. However, I then had 2 photos taken…
