You're a certified personal trainer?! And you think you can burn 1,000 calories in a half hour?! :noway:

My cats love the yoga mat. So anytime I stretch, do yoga, Physical Therapy exercise, anything that's on the floor...they are all over me. My oldest one likes to crawl on my abs and/or chest while I do savasana or anything that has me not moving for more than 15 seconds. It's annoying, but endearing.

Honestly, you run. You can't control the weather tomorrow or during your race. Wear a hat and any lightweight waterproof clothing you have. You can do 2 10 mile loops if you want to change clothes/shoes/socks but regardless, you run.

Thanks for the insult. Apparently I'm just more intelligent than the average person because I don't actually research as much as you claim I do. I don't buy into marketing ploys and I'm not easily influenced. Sounds like you're just out to pick a fight. But I guess I was never overweight, unlike yourself?! Maybe my…

Sounds like you're going down the "excuses" road. Yes, there are influences. You do what you can do, and how long does a healthy dinner take versus taking the kids to the McDonald's drive through?! It's absolutely inexcusable to say "Oh the kids had practice tonight, so we just went to McDonald's" time and time and time…

I don't understand how people don't "know" that food is bad for them?! How can you be that uneducated and out of touch with reality? Seriously?!?!?

Especially after last night, I really don't like Bolt. He declared himself a legend. Gifted? Sure. Pompous and arrogant? You bet!

- Laziness - Lack of willpower
-
- Many running time and qualification goals (qualify for Boston and NYC Marathons) - To be able to hold a side plank on each side for 5 minutes - To be able to do 10 consecutive pull-ups - To be able to do 50 consecutive push-ups

You have 138 pounds to lose. Your case doesn't apply here, neither does your advice.
-
Sure! Good luck! If you need any directional guidance, feel free to PM me. I'm a certified RRCA coach - I won't write your whole training plan for you, but I can help if you need input!

I have never bought a protein bar, as I'm sponsored by an energy bar company. Buttt I do really like/love these. Easy peasy. Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes 1/4 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking powder 2 Tbsp extra virgin coconut oil 3 scoops chocolate protein powder 2 tbsp cocoa powder 1 15 oz can 100% pure pumpkin 3 scoops…

But you've run one before. And you know you can do one, so what's different? Get out of your own head. Go out on your run and don't set any expectations. Did you set a "reach" time or are you just doubting that you can do it? You have to come to the table with a positive attitude and believe you can do it, we can't give…

And your plan doesn't have a stepback week at all?! Ahhhh. That's likely a huge problem there, which could explain the burnout. And in regards to not eating enough, I lost a lot of my appetite marathon training (for my first) last year. I KILLED my metabolism, it was half of what it should be. I'm finally, almost a year…

I'd love for you to prove me wrong, but it just sounds like you honestly don't want to do it. It's a commitment, if you don't make it a high priority...you won't do it. Schedule the time, set the alarm a bit earlier than you "need to" get out of bed and just do it. The journey is worth the reward, but there is no use in…

Though I'm only "training" for the full. I'm always trained up to run a half. The other races fall in line with my goals - 25K and 30K are more or less training runs that are hilly.

August 19th: Rock 'n' Roll Providence Half September 3rd: Around the Cape 25K September 16th: Nahant 30K September 23rd: Niantic Bay Half Marathon October 7th: Coastal Lighthouse 10K October 14th: Amica Marathon November 4th: All Women & One Lucky Guy Half

Skip Savannah, run Kiawah! Kiawah is gorgeous, Savannah is better as a half than a full but still meh :)
-
It's a great goal, commitment above all else is the #1 thing. Are you currently running? What's your mileage like? What have you raced? When do you want to run it? I am running my second full in October. It's not easy, it's certainly a journey but it's one of the most rewarding things (if not *the* most rewarding thing)…

1100 calories for 55EZ is very high, inaccurately high. My average for that program was 354/session (~120 pounds when I did it). I can see someone burning double if they still have weight to lose or don't have a great fitness level, but 3x that seems grossly inaccurate. I would say eat 1/2 back.

I don't see any reason for a 10 year old to have an iPhone, a cell phone...I suppose, but an iPhone, absolutely not. FaceTime is great, but I don't see a need for a 10 year old to have an iPhone just to have FaceTime. I wouldn't say anything, but I certainly would think "What are her parents thinking?"

I eat what I want, when I want it. 90% of my food is good, I hit my target macros and I'm training for a marathon. Fairly certain, 2 servings of ice cream is certainly okay when I'm training like I do. I don't really view anything as a "treat".
-
Marathon, hands down. It is the truest test of endurance and ability.
-
Once again, stereotypical. And judgmental. I'm not trying to one up you, which is clearly what you think I'm trying to do. I would refrain from judging others because they make room for donuts in their life. I'm sure you don't have one bad vice. And there are, actually, far worse things than a donut from Dunkin'.
-
Stereotypical much? I'm fairly certain there are McDonald's and Tim Horton's in Canda? Right? Okay then.
-
Someone is on a low carb diet. Eat some food. Most of us believe in lifestyle choices. I myself am training for a marathon, so yeah a 200-something calorie item fits well into my lifestyle and doesn't make much of a dent in my calories.
-
Chocolate chocolate - less than 300 calories, just as great split though.
-
If you are committed to it and run regularly, you're a runner. No excuses, no bullsh*t. Just a continuous dedication and practice of it. But the defining characteristic is the commitment.
-
Oh yes, trainers know everything. If you've paid this trainer, you might want to ask for your money back.

Pretty sure it's not 110 at 5AM in Texas. Just saying. I lived in the South, I was up as early as I needed to be to be able to run outside without suffering from heat illness. I'm very fit and I finish all my runs in the summer dripping with sweat (yes my skirt needs to be wrung out). No it's not for everyone, but own that…
