I notice this happens a lot and I agree it's frustrating!!!

How about plain Greek Yogurt and toss the blueberries in the yogurt? The yogurt is high in protein like the eggs. Perhaps more calories but not much. If the yogurt is too tart, you can add Stevia or honey to sweeten it. Or a fruit smoothie - 1/2 banana, 1/4 c. frozen blueberries, 1/4 c. frozen raspberries, 1/2 c. spinach…

16 lbs by June 10 definitely sounds doable! I'd just tell you to count your calories carefully here on MFP and try to exercise at least 2-3 days per week. You should surely get there in time to celebrate your birthday! Good luck :)

Short story - I did Paleo for 4 months. I enjoyed it because it was so different from how I ate before. It's tough and restrictive but I lost weight fast. The bad thing is that I couldn't keep up this restrictive eating and once I started eating "normal" again, I gained all the weight back. I did learn a lot of new healthy…

I will tell you something really interesting! I started MFP wanting to lose 2lbs per week - so my calorie goal was 1200 per day. After about 4 days, I realized that was way too low for me so I bumped it to 1.5lbs per week (1470 calories). After a week at this calorie goal, I was just still way too hungry and weirdly enough…

Hi there. How old are you? Just wondering if you are older - like at least in your 30's. When I hit my 30s (and had two babies), my set weight changed (increased 10 lbs) and no matter what, I just can't get back to my old set weight. I really feel like this is just the new weight that my body wants to be at. I think if you…

It depends on your relationship with your boyfriend. If he's the type that wouldn't mind going back to get you the right one, then be honest with him. If you think it's something that will upset him - then just eat the caramel one :) I've been married for 12 years and have no problem telling my husband to go back and get…

YES, I get very tired from workouts some days too. I found that over time though, I got less tired -- your body eventually gets stronger, increases stamina and can handle it better. But I also find that hydrating after a workout with electrolytes gives me more energy back. (Better than just plain water). You can use "Smart…

I don't do videos but I workout from home. I do "Cross Fit" workouts in my garage (but you can do them in any room with some floor space). You can Google Cross Fit WOD (WOD = Workout of the Day) -- or if you are on Pinterest - you can find many samples there that are easy to save and choose from. For example, on Monday I…

I have done both Paleo and South Beach. I found Paleo easier for me to stick with than South Beach. I felt South Beach was more restricting. HOWEVER, not to discourage you, but both times I gained the weight back after I started eating normal again. If you can live forever without eating breads, crackers, dairy, grains,…

I think the little bits of exercise you are doing throughout the day are great! That's exactly what one must do when they can't dedicate a full block of time to exercise. Though the calorie burn may be fewer, it's certainly greater than doing nothing at all. Are you able to exercise during your lunch break? Either at a…

I agree -- I just count it as a very small portion :)

Do you have a break room that you can quickly go into to eat a snack? I used to have this same problem of working at a desk where I could not eat. I would go to the bathroom and eat a quick snack while I was walking to the bathroom and finished it once I got inside. It was something easy and quick to eat like a granola…

My favorite is beets, spinach, carrots, cucumber, ginger and a squeeze of lemon. I try to focus more on juicing veggies than fruit because of all the sugar in the fruit. Have fun experimenting with different ingredients! :)

For me I find that when I eat lots of small "meals" throughout the day (which alot of people recommend), I feel the most hungry. I feel fuller and more satisfied if I eat three larger meals and two tiny snacks if I get hungry in between. The fuller meals keep me going to the next meal. I do think you definitely need the…

I too don't worry about the fats. I pretty much just focus on the calories :)

I do usually lean out when I run. My legs and butt slim down and my tummy does too. It's not a HUGE change for me but I definitely notice a lower body slim down when I increase my running. I just started running 3 times per week and doing weights 2 times per week. Good luck! I like how you signed up for some 5K's to…

I've been a runner for 20 years :) 5K's are fun because they are so attainable and over pretty quickly! The Couch to 5K is a great program and I think that is all you really need to get to your 5K goal. One thing I will say is that July 12 is pretty far away -- I would say not to start your training too soon. I mean, it's…

I too chose to lose 2lbs per week and got 1200 as my calorie goal. I thought it was very low too but I guess 2lbs per week is a pretty aggressive goal. I started working out 5 times per week just so I can get more calories to eat daily. I personally feel really good at this calorie so I am continuing with it....but not…

I was diagnosed 11 years ago with Hypothyroidism. I take 75 mcg of Synthroid daily. I don't know what my levels are -- I should ask but my doctor just tells me if it's okay or not :) I was experiencing frequent heart palpitations and extreme fatigue and that is when my doctor tested me and I was low. It's amazing that the…

This is exactly why I threw my scale into the attic. I was doing everything "by the books" to lose weight but wasn't see it on the scales. I went down one pant size, lost belly fat, smaller booty, lost inches in my arms and thighs...looked and felt great. But that darn scale still hovered around the same 5lbs. I couldn't…

Taking my two boys to their elementary school Valentine's Day dance :) It's so cute!

I am the same way. I reward weight loss, exercise and anything else with food. It's what makes me happy. Unfortunately, the frequent "rewards" prevents me from finally losing those last 10 lbs I have been trying to lose for years now. I recently came to the realization that I am never going to quit enjoying food and I…

I do Cross Fit too. My trainer said on average women burn approx 12.3 calories per minute of Cross Fit. I am sure that is not entirely accurate but I've been using that as my input for now. Some of the people I workout with use heart rate monitors and other fitness monitors to track their calorie burn. I guess I should…

I am not doing it right now but did it a little over a year ago. I will say that it's a good 30 day plan if you are looking for a jump start to your diet. For me personally, it wasn't a plan that I could keep up with long term though. The first 1-2 weeks were hard because I had strong cravings for bread, chips, sweets, etc…

Oh wonderful!! I am so happy to hear all of your response -- and happy I am not the only one not wanting to use the scale! I do like the idea of taking measurements....at least for now. Maybe once I know I've lost some weight, I can brave it and step on there! arrseegee -- good point. I put in an estimate of my weight - I…

I agree with Moniker on the Interval Training Classes -- that is what I do right now with a local class. It incorporates some cardio exercise (like short runs, jump ropes, jumping jacks) along with weights (squats, thrusters, pushups, etc). It's interesting to see that doing weights at high reps and at a quick speed can…

I would probably just do a big fruit salad, mixed nuts (maybe go for the pricier, fancier nuts like macadamias, hazelnuts, etc) and I would buy Gluten Free Muffins (we have a Whole Foods near by that sells them).

I know what you mean!! It took me a long time to realize that I can't handle cheat days or even cheat meals. If I get a taste for the things I love (like sweets, chips, fried foods), forget it, it's over and I can't stop craving it! I can diet much better if I stay away from trigger foods at all times. Sorry you have to…

MAYBE drinking all that sugar before bed isn't THE best choice if you are trying to diet "by the book" but since you watched your intake throughout the day and burned so many calories working out, I don't see anything wrong with it. So many worse choices could have been made! :) PS I know lots of Paleo people from my gym…
