Sunday Funday Two Weeks Ago: 196.4 Last Week: 195.2 Today: 195.0 Not much of a weekly drop to hoot about BUT I did the measurements thing and am thrilled. Since starting this journey on August 12 (13.5 weeks), I’ve lost 15 lbs and 20 inches! My goal for this week is to avoid the ‘one more bite’ trap. I find myself eating…

Cold and snow I can do...up and out for 5:30 not so much 😴

Last week 195.2 Today 195.2 I’d love to be able to record a loss for this week, especially when I was more than a pound less just yesterday. I’m going to keep on keeping on and trust the scale will catch up. We’re having gorgeous spring-like weather here in New England. I’m going to take advantage and make it an outside…

@jm216 - I suppose if there's a silver lining to having a colonoscopy... HAHA You've got this ~ sending motivational vibes to you

Two Weeks Ago: 197.8 Last Week: 196.4 Today: 195.2 Last weeks goal: daily walks and add distance to my usual route when time allows -- days without walks at all and a few with longer walks than usual Next Milestone: 180s Goals for this week: daily exercise/walks and more water (I'm sounding like a broken record on both of…

Last Week: 197.8 Today: 196.4 Last weeks goal: daily walks and add distance to my usual route when time allows Next Milestone: 180s Goals for this week: Find a new rhythm/schedule for my daily walks. It's more dark than not both before and after work these days, which isn't safe on my unlit, no sidewalk road. I'm aiming…

How's this for coincidence--digging through the poorly stocked pantry and refrigerator for dinner inspiration yesterday and came up with this exact meal! totally yummy

Three weeks ago 197.4 Two weeks 198.8 Last week 199.2 Today 197.8 My goal for this past week was to turn back the scales three weeks -- 197.8 is close enough to have me smiling this morning  I walked 5.5 out of 7 days (counting .5 for the day I made it happen in the rain but only for half the distance). This weeks…

So happy for you and 210 to be together again!
-
Woot Woot!!
-
I’m optimistic
-
You've joined a very supportive and encouraging group of friends. Welcome!
-
You will be the best buddy 210 has ever had and won't feel bad when you leave it for new friends to follow! I can relate to your self-sabotage statement. I do exactly that after a successful stretch--I get comfortable and confident that this time I've got it; this time I'll keep losing and it's safe to have that extra…

Here it is, in writing so I have to own it... Two weeks ago 197.4 Last week 198.8 Today 199.2 Better than I had feared given the cinnamon bun mornings and fruity cocktail nights of my vacation! Goals for the week--set back the scales two weeks by being extra mindful of my food intake, get in daily walks, and stay hydrated.

Nicely done!!

I'm just back from a mini getaway --- postponing weigh in until Monday morning. The relaxing, beautiful time away was wonderful for the mind and soul, but I'm sure the body(improvement) took a hit. I was mindful but didn't deny myself; I could have (and would have in the past) done much worse, so maybe it won't be too much…

Less than stellar performance this week so no surprise that I’ve set myself back. Last week 197.4 Today 198.8 I know what I did (or didn’t do, as the case may be) and have no doubt this next week will be much better. Goals: leave the apple crisp (mostly) alone, water water water, and make walks happen.

I've already exercised a few crumbs away by kicking myself in the butt! But, yes, I'm remaining positive and the pup will get an extra walk in today : ) I went to the apple orchard with my mom and youngest daughter on Saturday--so much fun and it was a gorgeous New England fall day! I carefully planned for the donut and…

Welcome! I hear you on the nail biting struggle. I'm 56 and have the life-long habit almost beat. My downfall is becoming engrossed in a good book; I resurface to find I've chewed them down to nothing yet again.

Making my morning coffee and preparing to slice up an apple for breakfast when the last damned apple cider donut started whispering to me from across the counter. I clanked the coffee mug and fumbled more than necessary in the silverware drawer to drown it out but it just raised it's sugary voice to a shout. Fearing our…

Last week: 199.6 Today: 197.4 Kicked a couple more to the curb! This week’s goal: Keep logging and be mindful of balancing the not so great choices with better ones. Water, water, water--if nothing else, I'm racking up steps with all the extra trips to the bathroom! I also haven't updated my measurements since the start so…

Sunday check-in Last week: 201.0 Today: 199.6 Holy smokes! I'm below 200! Seeing a pound+/- loss each week is nice but it can also be discouraging to have things go so slowly. After all, what's a measly pound when I have so many more to lose? Then you hit a milestone :) This week’s goal: restock the cupboards (less…

Hello and welcome. You're doing mfp, exercising as you can, and you've joined a good group of friends to support you. What a great start! When you say you've been doing mfp for 3 weeks, do you mean you've been keeping a food diary? Has it been helpful in identifying where you may need to change some habits? For instance, a…

Great find in your local gym - sounds like a wonderful solution until you can regain your workshop! About that upcoming camping trip--We NEED an LOL button!

Sunday check-in Last week: 201.6 Today: 201.0 0.6 lbs lost Happy with any bit of loss but wishing the scale reflected the good week I had - on point with the cal intake and more daily walks than previous weeks. I’m motivated by the end-of-day report that continues to say I’m on track for losing 10+ lbs in 5 weeks. This…

@cpknight123 Incredible!

Always room for another friend! Let’s do this!

Sounds like a tough, and lonely, situation. Is it possible to ‘do you’ and still ‘do for them’ as well, or is that too much temptation? Same salad but oil and vinegar for you and their presumably heavier ranch or blue cheese dressing? Your baked potato but put out the sour cream and other toppings for their loaded spuds?…

Sunday reality check. Last week: 202.8 Today: 201.6 1.2 lbs lost I'm happy with the small loss but know I can do better. I walked more and was purposeful in getting in more activity in small bits when I thought of it. However, I let my food intake be swayed by what was readily available instead of making the effort to turn…

Pitfall to not sharing that I’m on this journey with those around me...hubby surprised me with ooey, gooey, chocolatey eclairs for our evening snack. Yikes! While I was struggling with how to manage this, especially where I was nearly maxed for calories, he suggested we share one tonight and save the other to share…
