This would really depend on a person's frame. I am 5'8" and weighed 135 for the majority of my life without exercise, 125 with. It is really hard to tell whether a person would be under/over a low weight unless you knew their structure.

No worries. What will happen is that, after making a determination of the goals you wish to attain, you'll record your foods daily, record any physical changes such as weight or measurements regularly, observe whether the food choices are helping you achieve your original goals and then modify your choices based on those…

Oh goody! Something to look forward to!

Would it be possible for you to take the meal plan that the dietician gave you and break it out to make it easier for you to follow? I know that it is hard to focus when in recovery due to the fatigue. Maybe you can take a page from the booklet and make a few notes in your own words and create an outline. As it becomes…

Right now in my fridge I have one pitcher with green tea, one pitcher with water infused with 1/2 a lemon and 1/2 an orange and one pitcher with Country Peach Passion cuz it is so darn good. I don't have caffeine in any of them, sweeteners or anything crazy. I just like the option of switching it up. Keeping them cold as…

I use Rusk Thermal Serum so I don't damage my hair with all the heat and then deep condition once a week. And I use either a curling iron or a flat iron all the time and this regimen seems to have been protecting my super fragile hair from turning to crispy-fried critters. I just wish there was an antiperspirant for MY…

Wow! Great work!!

Not to sound all Charlton Heston here, but coffee is the one thing that would have to be wrestled out of my hands with screaming and thrashing. And I fight like a girl! That being said, I do limit myself to 2 cups a day, limited sweetener if any and just enough cream to make it toffee-colored. I can give up a lot of things…

If you've got to have cake, angel food cake is nice. Low cal and sweet enough to tangle the sweet tooth. Munch on a slice with some strawberries and happiness ensues.

I have to agree with the others: time for a new doctor. You have a problem. You brought it to your doctor. Doctor dismissed it out of hand. How is that caring for a patient? Run, don't walk, to another doctor.

What was happening in your life before the binge? Aside from the food, what do you think was the emotional trigger? Were you under a great deal of stress? Did you experience a disappointment? Were you sad? I found in my case that finding those sources helped me with my ED.

I know that alcohol has no nutritional value and right now I need my calories to mean something. I look at my Glenlivet and think perhaps I will give myself a taste every 10lbs - I've got 80 to go. Otherwise, I'm going to avoid it until I reach my goal. I've always been a lightweight anyhow, so it isn't much of a…

I'm afraid I would need the TARDIS for my favorite. Fratelli's Cappuccino Chip. Man, I miss that ice cream.

People may have noticed and just don't feel comfortable saying anything. Sometimes it's okay to say to a girlfriend, "Check it out, I'm down two pant sizes!" Then they know it is okay to celebrate with you. But don't be surprised if most people are just wrapped up in their own business and didn't take note. It's okay if…

I log daily and I really like it. Having a lil' trouble eating all my calories on those darn migraine days but I think I've figured out a way to fix that. I have a rule to only post kind words, encouraging things that you would say if the person were sitting next to you. Add me if you like!:flowerforyou:

My brother died. I let myself get unhealthy for years because he was unhealthy and I didn't want to move on without him. He died and I had to remember how to be me. It's coming up on a year now of him being gone and I am coming to terms with it. And I'm ready to move forward. It's been baby steps since July but now I am…

I think you look absolutely lovely. And your face made me smile.

Arm muscles?! Yes, please!! Looks great. I am inspired and just a lil' bit jealous. Leaving to find my dumbbells now. Bye!

Sounds like a great idea - starting afresh! WTG!

I love my digital scale. For instance, cheese. I had no idea how much 2 oz of cheese looked like. I have measured it out at home on my scale enough times now that I know what 2 oz looks like whether I have sliced it thin, thick or cubed it. Now that I know what it looks like, I can guess pretty accurately when I am away…

I do like metal (Metallica, Rammstein, Dead Letter Circus, QOTSA, Shinedown) but I also love dance, industrial, techno, R&B, classical and so, so much more. Did a pretty fast ride on my stationary bike to a section of Rachmaninoff. (ROCK-maninoff?) But metal is definitely in the mix!

Cottage cheese in moussaka? Did you use it in the béchamel sauce instead of cream?

The advice could also be for someone who is just starting to date. If it isn't a nurturing relationship, that is the time to get out.

That is a "Profound" weight loss! heh heh

This is an oldie-but-goodie topic, for sure. I don't feel like giving up but I do get cranky. And then I just keep going because it gets better. I mean, it can't be as bad as this hike I went on in my early 20's. Switchbacks, rocky trail so much so that you couldn't look up and it wouldn't matter anyway because the trees…

I try to keep my salt intake low during the day so that if I feel peckish at the end of the day I can snack on some dill pickles and a bit of sharp cheddar. It doesn't take much of the strong flavors to leave me feeling like I've really enjoyed something. Takes those cravings away.

I find this fascinating. I never even imagined so many ways to eat cottage cheese. Mind you, most of them turned my stomach. (Sorry. I'm a wimp.) I can only eat it plain. Perhaps on top of a cracker. But my favorite thing is to have it with my steak. Some people must have mashed potatoes or perhaps steak sauce. I love the…

I actually have an Excel spreadsheet that I had set up last year and have been tracking my daily weight on it next to my other entries. When I select all the weights since I started my actual focused weight loss (pre-MFP) and drag down 5 weeks, it calculates out almost to the exact weight that MFP says I will weigh. Given…

Tony, watched your video. Thank goodness you had your attack dog with you!

I'm not at the working-out-where-I-want-anyone-to-see-me-doing-it stage yet, but I feel your pain and I'm laughing with you, not at you. Hope you put a package of frozen peas on your poor lil' shin! Oh! Hold the phone! I just thought of something that might cheer you up. Sort of. A few years back when my husband and…
