No one's yet asked me how much weight I've lost, but I'd have no problem telling them. Being honest about what my weight used to be really isn't that big of a deal for me.
-
I eat 2 meals a day, at least 4 hours apart. If I don't eat my first meal until 7p-8p, I will eat my second meal 11p-12a, regardless. It hasn't affected my weight loss; only calorie intake ever would.
-
I don't do 'splurge' days - I factor the alcohol into my daily calories.
-
I've noticed I have little interest in the taste of overly salty/sugary/buttery/fatty foods.
-
I leave mine private because I see no reason why internet strangers need to see my logging. If I screw up, I'm well aware of it.

Never had a sex drive and still don't!

Whenever I ate with my husband's family, I just controlled my portions. I ate what they ate, but made sure it was within my calorie goals by measuring/weighing. If the food itself is too high calorie to do this, make your own dinner. My husband tends to do that when he's with his family.

I was on Xanax a couple years before I changed my diet, so I can't say too much about it now. But, at the time, my appetite didn't change so I didn't gain or lose any weight. As cindyhoney2 mentioned, talking with your doctor about the side effects you're experiencing would be beneficial for you.

I never ate back my calories from the numbers MFP gave me, but the thing about MFP's guided goals is it does not factor in your exercise calories. So, YES, you would eat them back. IIFYM and any other TDEE calculator will factor in your exercise level, in which case you would stick to your recommended calorie intake and…

IIFYM is helpful for figuring this sort of thing out - though it tends to set Fat/Protein high and carbs low, as it's geared toward gaining muscle. I've been at 55% carb/25% protein/20% fat and it's worked out pretty well. The one thing I will say is, that if you're going for weight loss, your macro ratios do not matter.…

I agree about not drinking up your calories. If I do choose to, I prefer making a homemade smoothie. In the end, though, all that really matters is calories out > calories in.

I'd highly recommend, at the very least, figuring out your BMR (basal metabolic rate - what your body requires even if you did nothing but lay around all day) to make sure you're staying around it. Ideally, caloric deficits should be taken as a reasonable (5-25%) percentage of your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure -…

I'm a pretty big fan of this damndelicious.net Steak Chili recipe. Per 1 cup, I calculated it at: 210 calories, 7.5g fat (3g saturated), 39mg cholesterol, 287mg sodium, 442mg potassium, 18g carbohydrates, 6g fiber, 3g sugar, 16g protein, 11% Vit A, 18% Vit C, 6% Calcium, and 12% Iron.

With most calculators, calories burned relies very much upon one's body weight. According to MFP, one would have to weigh 465+ pounds to be hitting 800+ calories walking 3.5 mph for 1 hour. On healthdiscovery.net and complete-strength-training.com's calculators, one would also have to weigh over 400 pounds to hit 800+…

According to IIFYM, once I hit my goal weight, I'm only looking at 1800 or so calories to maintain my weight even with exercise. On MFP, it'll be around 2080 without any exercise. According to several other calculators, my TDEE will vary from 1500 to 2100 depending on activity level. I think everyone has to work to find…

One of my coworkers first mentioned something after the first 15 pounds lost. But, my husband's family didn't say anything after I'd lost nearly 40 pounds from my start weight (and nearly 2 years not seeing any of them), so that was kind of disheartening. Now, I've lost almost 55 pounds and am being told my clothes are too…

I wasn't aware MFP was picky about swimsuits. But a sports bra and shorts are always an option.

I work 5 to 6 days a week 6a to 4p or later and make it a priority to go for a two-mile run at least two days a week and to do a 30 minute HIIT video another two days a week. It helps that I have to hold my husband accountable for our exercising, but really I don't care for excuses so I don't make them. I just do it. If I…

I initially went by BMI/body frame size, but I definitely suggest trying for a certain body fat percentage as your goal rather than a specific weight. Unfortunately, I've found 2 different methods to calculate an ideal weight based on body fat percentage and they give two different weights - in my case, a difference of…

Best of luck!

I agree with this 100%. There is no such thing as 'good' or 'bad' food, as many people tell themselves when they start a diet change. Just work out the calories and make sure you have room for them. It's really not a big deal.
-
I never made excuses. I knew why I'm overweight and why I was out of shape - laziness and poor diet.
-
I started my diet change/exercise regiment May 15, and check in the 15th of each month. May-June: Started at 197, lost 18.8 lbs (mostly water weight, as others have mentioned) June-July: Lost 8.8 lbs July-August: Lost 10.4 lbs August-September: Lost 8.6 lbs September-October: Stalled just before October. Changed to the…

I lost my first 5 kgs in about 2 weeks at MFP's recommended 1610 cal. It really all depends on your TDEE, etc.
-
I weigh myself 1-4 times a day and I officially 'check in' on MFP on the 15th of each month.
-
I could never sell my pet off like that. Obviously, some people care more about money than their pets. Ridiculous.

This is why I'm glad we have a food scale!

I tend to do sort of the opposite and log at the nearest lower pace with the correct time. I'm uncertain why the 11 minute pace isn't on the list. Unfortunately, many calorie counting sites I've found use the same set of paces for everything - so the 11 minute is missing on them as well.

For me, counting my calories as best I can when I eat out (and not eating out more than once a month) keeps me from 'freaking out'. When I'm not sure about my food's content, I guesstimate portions and use a calorie database. From there, I choose the higher counts. I deal with days like these by exercising and trying to…

Because I want to lose the weight from my butt/hips/boobs, and hopefully the feminine curves that go with that weight.
