Oh my gosh you're amazing. So inspirational! Great work!!!

Take pictures!!! When I was losing weight I took pictures in my underwear for a progress collection. I LOVE looking back and seeing how far I've come. Even with 5-10 pounds of weight loss, there's a noticeable side by side difference.

I'm an avid runner and I have this problem sometimes. For me, it's eating before the workout. How soon do you exercise after eating? Some people are more sensitive than others. I have to wait almost two hours after eating anything at all.

Nope! I'm 5'6 and 140 pounds, which is about the same BMI you're aiming for. I've been as low as 120 pounds and people started to say I looked unhealthy. I think I look best around 130 pounds. For you, 145 is a healthy BMI, but your goal weight should depend on personal preference.

Hey! Same situation for me. I gained about 15 pounds after losing 50, and I'm home with my parents for the summer. Weirdly enough, my boyfriend also lives about two hours away. I've been struggling a little this summer too, but I've been doing well the last two weeks. The biggest thing for me was making a routine and…

This girl freaks me out. No one is that happy when they squat.

Add me! My diary is open and I have 10-15 more pounds to lose too. I don't work in a bakery, but I do make homemade bread and occasionally pastries, so I understand the struggle!

Add me! I'm on 1,240 calories per day, I run, and I've lost 50 pounds (and then gained a little back, which I'm working on losing now)

5'6" 174-->130 lbs

Can I ask what your before and after weights are? You look amazing!!

Mines open! I'm on 1,240 calories a day. Add me!

Omg I think we are twins. I'm 5'6" and 140 pounds. I run half marathons and I'm looking to do the same thing as you, but I'm not sure where to start!! I'm going to steal all the advice off this thread. Thanks!!

Hi Ally! I began under similar circumstances. I gained about 30 pounds over the course of a couple years and then came here to work hard and lose the weight. I've been using mfp for two years now and I've been more successful than I ever could have imagined. It's possible! Good luck!

Hi! I'm Kelly and I'm from Pennsylvania. I've been on mfp for two years now (on and off). I'm a runner and I'd love to lose about 10 pounds. Add me!

Once my roommate cut up old tshirts and made a rainbow rug by braiding them together and twirling it. It actually turned out really awesome.

Before college --> after sophomore year (tons of weight gain!!) --> after junior year (running a 10 mile race)
-
Your story is so similar to mine. I gained about 30 pounds between freshman and sophomore year. At the start of my junior year, I decided to get serious about my lifestyle and dropped 50 pounds. I started running and cooking. I graduated this spring and I feel healthier and happier than ever. You can do it!

Fruit, yogurt, smoothies... There are also lots of fudge bars or slushie type things that come under 100 calories. Frozen grapes, small slices of frozen banana. If you slice a banana really thin, spread out the pieces, and freeze it, you can eat half a banana (50 calories!) as a satisfying desert. Sometimes keep a bag of…

Hi! I'm 5'6 and 140 pounds (almost the same BMI), and I think my body type is similar to yours. I used to be close to 120 pounds and I got there by doing some serious running, but I wasn't very muscular. I'd say you could try to lose 5-10 pounds. What type of cardio do you do and how much? For me, running made the biggest…

I started at 170+ pounds and then got down to 120. I've gained some weight back in the last year and I'm up to 140 now, but with much more muscle. I started lifting this year and I ran my first half marathon this May. I'm hoping to get around 125-130 pounds and become stronger and faster.

Hi! I'm a 5'6 female around 140 lbs trying to get back down to 125-130 with muscle. I run 3-4 times a week and bike on a daily basis. I'm trying to get better about logging calories and eating better. I was in GREAT shape last year, but I've slipped I since then and I'm working on getting back into it!

I lost weight while "college style" drinking last year. I always brought my own drink to parties. I drank rum and Coke Zero or diet Sprite and vodka. I drank wine on occasion and generally avoided beer. I worked out extra before nights I knew I would be drinking and logged every calorie from drinks. ITS POSSIBLE, I just…

You look great. I'm very motivated after reading that you lost weight, gained some back, and then lost even more. That's sort of what I'm going through now. Keep up the great work!

Very sweaty after my morning run

Yesssssssss this is right around where I am now to where I'd love to be. How long did this take you and what did you do?

Take action. I did the exact same thing. I finally go below 125, went into maintenance, and stopped counting calories. The scale crept up and suddenly I was 130 pounds. I told myself I was happy there, so I kept trying to maintain without counting calories, now a year later I'm back up to 140 pounds. Maintenance was way…

You're really missing out with the recipe option. If you make a recipe frequently or even eat it more than once, it's way easier to log than importing ingredients one at a time.
