Starkist has flavored tuna pouches (about 80 calories). I really like the lemon pepper one. You could probably use the plain tuna and mix in your own lemon pepper. Sometimes I used whipped onion chive cream cheese mixed into plain tuna. It is also good if you put in some dill. You can make a lighter version of mayo too.…

These are true words. The best advice I can give to anyone is, "find what works for you, and stick with your program". There is no wrong or right way to get there, just what works for each of us and will be sustainable in the long term.

I eat a banana every day. Looked it up on the data base once, and log the same thing every day. Kind of faster than weighing and logging, as it is just logging. One step eliminated.......bam! Been doing this for over 4-1/2 years, almost 3 maintaining. Works great for me.

Eat the banana. I always buy the smallest bananas I can find and log it as medium. I always overestimate on things that I am not sure about. I weighed things for about 2 days, and it was too much of a hassle for me. I managed to lose over 1/2 of my current body weight and keep it off logging like this. I would have quit…

This is a milestone, and it totally matters! Congratulations!

Congratulations! You look beautiful! An amazing example for your children! Way to get 'er done, Blue Eyes!

I am not a big fan of exercise either, but I do it because it is very beneficial to good health. How about walking? It is free, easy and you can do it anywhere. I started out by just walking more. Almost 2 years ago I got a gym membership and found that I like the elliptical. I still don't really enjoy exercising, but I go…

It is pretty basic for everyone, myself included. Eat less calories than you burn. For me personally, I logged every single calorie I ate and drank and moved more. I am 65, lost over 1/2 of my current body weight, and have kept it off for almost 3 years. It isn't easy at any age. Takes commitment and perseverance to lose…

Right now my favorite is adding pumpkin puree, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice and toasted walnuts. I make it with almond milk and put in individual serving size containers and freeze it. Heat in the microwave and top with the walnuts. If you want a little more protein, add a scoop of protein powder.

Absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations on your success!

This is how I would let them know: Over 4-1/2 years on MFP, almost 3 years on maintenance. Age 65. SW 290#, CW 130#. The first 2 months on MFP, I was afraid to eat some foods. Then I read a post here basically about all foods in moderation. That was June of 2012. Ever since then, I have ate all foods that I like, paying…

There is no "pill" or "quick fix" for weight loss. Some are harmless (you just waste your money), some can be downright harmful. As for losing and keeping the weight off, this involves a sustainable life style change in your eating and exercising habits. Placebos work for some people, but that is not what take the weight…

less calories in than out works All foods in moderation and staying within my calorie allotment works for me, got me to maintenance, and has kept me there for 3 years.

10 pounds

Nope, not possible, no way, no how.

Bad knees here. Love the elliptical. Use it everyday at the gym and got one for at home when I am watching tv. I don't care about the calorie burn that much. My resting HR went from 74 when I started MFP to 49-52 now, so I know it is working. I also walk a lot. My best advice, don't worry about what anyone thinks. I see a…

You can absolutely do this. 1600 calories is a good starting point. Try putting in the foods you would eat before you started here. I guarantee it was way more than 1600 calories. I lost over 1/2 of my current body weight and have been on maintenance for 3 years. When I put my "average" days food that I would eat pre-MFP,…

I have this anxiety as well. I lost over 1/2 of my current body weight, and have kept it off for almost 3 years now by keeping tracking. I do not log as closely as I did while losing, but I do weigh myself every day and adjust my calorie intake accordingly. I was like you while losing, vigilant and rigid, but I did not…

You should not have to spew back hate. We are adults and should know better than to say something like this to another human being. No need to sugar coat anything. We all know what we look like. Why is this something that needs to be pointed out at all? How is it hurting you? Like my mother always said, if you can't say…

Agree 100% Very twisted logic IMHO

Seriously? NO!

I don't agree at all that this is PC rubbish, it is plain, old rude behavior. Not acceptable in a civilized society to go around saying whatever you feel like saying without any regard to consequences. Good for you TacheNoir, that it has no affect on your psyche except to keep you accountable, unfortunately, it is hurtful…

JW, did the OP say her weight was affecting her performance in the work place, because I know plenty of overweight, and even morbidly obese people who do a stellar job. IMHO, this type of comment is not acceptable. There is no excuse for this type of comment. How does it serve any useful purpose? It is childish, and…

He is a rude, insensitive co-worker, please ignore him. Perhaps he is takes lessons on how to be a d bag from D. Trump. You obviously have a busy schedule and a lot of stress, just do the best you can, that is all any of us can do. ...............and remember, weight loss is mostly about eating less calories than you burn.…

Same thing I have been doing for the past 5 "eating" seasons since I have been on MFP. All foods in moderation, nothing completely off limits. Some things will just be a taste. Nov 3rd will mark my 3rd anniversary on maintenance, and it is working so far.

Honestly, it was easier for me losing weight without exercising. I lost 100# before I even began walking more. Of course I had a lot to lose, but I can honestly state that I was not as hungry as I am now when I go to the gym everyday. There are things you can do with weights for upper body that you could sit and do, so no…

I did buy the triscuits, but have not tried them yet, I am a tiny bit skeptical of them as I don't know what to expect, sweet or savory (I didn't read the box, just saw the pumpkin spice and grabbed them). I did not buy the cereal because I bought 2 boxes of the pumpkin spice Cheerios. I do like the Cheerios, but it will…

You are not alone. The statistics say that over 80% of the people that lose weight, gain it back, some gain even more than they lost, so you have a lot of company. I am struggling to maintain my weight loss. It will be 3 years on 11/3. What has worked for me, is moderation in all food. Paying attention to portion sizes and…

Saw two new ones today, Pumpkin spice Life cereal, and pumpkin spice Triscuits.

Not happening, laws of gravity. Plastic surgery will do it.
