Everyone is different. Agree on trying the recommendation for a while. I have lost most of mine on 1500 / day (MFP recommendation). I exercise 6 days a week, P90X3, and use the exercise calories so I don't have to be super precise or worry about whether I logged something perfect.

Don't know about the actual calorie burn but I am really enjoying P90X3. It's only 30 minutes but pretty intense.

I do strawberry with protein shakes because I like them and can drink them in the car driving to work. Never tried Shakeology but there are some really strong opinions on here about them in both directions. The comments should get very interesting from here.

Since we are all on MFP you are likely to get very biased answers. :wink: In my mind you can either count points or count calories. Why take yourself one step away from what you are actually eating by using something other than calories. Also, I can do MFP forever, for free and I have to pay WW. My two cents.

1200 calories seems pretty low for Insanity. I am doing P90X3, consistently eating between 1500-1700 and am still losing about 4-6 lb. / month. At 1200 calories I would think that you are seriously missing the nutrients that you need. That said, if you are indeed eating that low, doing Insanity and not losing, I suspect…

When I weighed 245 my BP was pretty high so my doctor put me on medicine. Over the past two years as my weight has come down to 197 he has slowly taken me off the meds. After success, sometimes it is OK to have the large burger and fries, just don't do it again tomorrow and the next day.

A little while ago I went two weeks with no loss but ultimately lost 6 pounds for the month. Hang in there!!

There are a lot of really good DVD's out there. I am in the middle of P90X3 and am really enjoying it.

I didn't really tell anyone either. I think the compliments are much more genuine when someone doesn't know you are trying to lose weight. Also don't be surprised if you don't get compliments for a while. It seems like I had to lose more then 20 pounds or so before anyone at all seemed to notice. Hang in there.

I have tried a lot of different things, including WW. I lost weight on WW but eventually gained it back. I think anything that "hides" the concept of calories and doesn't feel like something you can do forever is eventually going to fail.

When I feel guilty I usually find that having some Ice Cream makes me feel better.
