I'm on a serious plateau... if you can call it that. I have gained and lost the same 3 - 4 pounds over and over again. It has been such a busy summer and I have had A LOT of fun. Now summer is ending and I need to start over and really watch my portion sizes. I also have vowed to avoid alcohol until Thanksgiving. That is…

Do you think it will be harder to lose the weight without an appropriate support group? I could not imagine trying to lose weight without my husband knowing. He would have constantly been asking for fried food, fast food, and Mexican food. Since I was eating healthy, however, he supported me 100%. He even joined me! I'm a…

Bernice, I wouldn't worry too much about your macros just yet since you are just starting. I recommend eating right and exercising. I know... duh, right. But if you make the right choices, you will see a lot of progress. I like whole wheat rounds instead of bread, brown rice, lots of fruits and veggies, and lean meats like…

I was at a plateau for about 6 weeks. Totally expected after 10 months... It was really tough to get over and keep going, but I did it! And with today's weigh in, I am no longer obese! I am officially overweight according the BMI scale. That feels great!

I have officially reached one of my NSV: To be considered overweight instead of obese on the BMI scale. That's right, I am no longer obese! Yesssssssssssssss! Other NSV to accomplish: run 160 miles this year, get into the single digits in pants (I don't think I have ever been a size 9), be able to complete an obstacle…

You look amazing! I definitely see the difference in all of the pictures. I did the C25K and I'm now working on the C210K. I can't believe that I can run for 60 minutes when I couldn't even run for 5 when I started. So, keep it up and great job so far!

That is amazing! Congrats!

Wow, you all are doing awesome! Current weight: 169.2 (officially under 170!) Challenge goal: 162 7 lbs.... Can I do it? My average is 1 pound a week, so I should be close. Maybe I can up my game and lose 2 lbs some of these weeks.

Nice! That sounds healthy to me.

I'm excited that you are here. How cool will it be to wear a cute dress (down a few sizes) on Easter day? I am so looking forward to it.

Don't quit! Everybody struggles sometimes. Just keep pushing forward. It looks like you are getting a lot exercise in. Good job!

I like this idea. In fact, I have set up some February goals. Thanks.

LOL. They have special doggie ice cream, too. Let me know if it is any good.
-
Awe, you sound so sad. Is there anything we can do?
-
I'm guilty of this, too. I tend to avoid the scale for a day or 2 after for fear that I have sabotaged myself. Also, I feel really guilty. My New Years resolution was to with stain from alcohol for 1 month. I failed.

I'm with you. We can be stinky together. But I only have one shirt and bra that can keep my ladies from bouncing everywhere. :o

Welcome back! We are here for you.

I think that I will check that out. Thanks!

I think you should start working out, too. It did wonders for my mood and my weight loss. I started at 200 lbs. and I am 5'2". I have lost 27 lbs. by eating right and working out. If I can do it, so can you! So, here is my question. What is keeping you from going for a 30 minute walk a few days a week?

I'm in for 25 miles

Stoshew71, thank you for all of the information. I did put together that training plan myself with the specific goal of increasing my time in 5Ks. I am such a slow runner.. My best 5K time is 42 minutes... Even the C25K expects a 5K to be completed in 40 minutes. Anyways, after reading your post, I see how little I truly…
