  • I broke up with my ex of 13 years and went from a size 16/18 to a 10 in a year. I didn't do it because I missed him or wanted him back, I did it because I wanted to lose weight for myself and not having to eat his takeaways and having to stay in the house all day meant that my weight dropped quite dramatically at first. We…
  • Ooh that sounds I interesting! I love pinterest so will have to research that one. I will have to plan lunches soon when work starts again but its usually a salad of some sort. I need to look at more salads too, mine tend to consist of a handful of packet salad with some ham and coleslaw chucked in, gets boring after a…
  • It's good to see Im not alone in planning! I know a lot of people who just grab a trolley and whatever is on offer but I find that way I go to the shop for extra ingredients far too often and it costs me a fortune. It also helps me plan on here, dinner always goes on first and the rest of my meals work around it.
  • I think you have already said it yourself ' I know the bloat will fade in a week or three'. In the grand scheme of things this isn't a long time and although annoying is going to solve itself. What you need to concentrate on is recovering and see fitting into the new clothes as something you will be able to wear and…
  • Baby weight can take a long time to lose, I know that's not what you want hear. Some people lose it within a matter of months, some take years everybody is different. Please don't give up. Make sure you are weighing everything, check your recipes if you use them and make sure that you haven't altered the weights or amounts…
  • Yes I weigh everything and create my own recipes which I stick to. I do log drinks etc too.
  • I do enjoy the Zumba, another 40 minutes done this morning :) I don't usually eat cereals anyway. he only thing I have is Special K porridge made with skimmed milk which is 154 calories. I much prefer a slice of toast with a scrambled egg unfortunately it doesn't seem to fill me up for long. I'm trying to swap coffee for…
  • Thank you for all your replies, it is appreciated. I didn't realise that I could look at sodium, fat etc day by day and it seems I go over on fat and carbs quite often so now I have something to work on. I try not to eat all of my exercise calories because they are so low at the minute but I find it difficult to stick to…
  • Just for today I will..... Stay within calories by logging everything. Drink more water Simple goals but something I rarely do!
  • Hi, I would like to join you if I could please?
  • I did used to cycle and I own a very nice bike however some scroat went to a lot of trouble to steal it ( two padlocks on the shed, four bikes all chained together with a very heavy thick chain and padlock and then all fastened to the actual shed. They used my partners bike to stand on to climb over the six foot fencing…
  • I use it too. I bought a Jillian Michaels fitness for £3 and really enjoy it.
  • Completely lost the plot yesterday, gave in at breakfast and it went down hill from there ending with a chinese. To be fair I had a busy day planned and then, thanks to my lazy son who admits he can't be bothered to shut a gate, I spent the morning looking for my two dogs who took themselves walkies. Stressed is an…
  • Well done! I can't wait to be able to go shopping and buy a smaller size. I've put off posting in success as my successes are small, yesterday I refused my favourite meal ever (fish and chips) and left the sausage roll in the fridge meaning I stayed within my calorie allowance, something I struggle with a lot. These are…

  • I've tried re-doing it but it comes up with the same thing. I'm just trying it ana3067's way. - and this worked! 212 looks much better than 21,200, many thanks :)
  • It appears to be just on my phone but I've never had this issue before! I have definitely put it all in right and it does allow me to select a serving size of 1g. Maybe I will give your way a go, thanks.
  • Yep, I had already put it in ready for dinner later at 100g ( 100 in the top box and 1g in the bottom) all I have done is change the 100g to 80g, haven't touched the bottom box, it still says 1g. Just looking at it now... Number of servings - 80 Serving size - 1.0g
  • Just for today (7/4) 1) Stay within my allowance of 1200 calories  2) Do 30 minutes on the wii fit - Didn't do this but did a 38 minute walk instead so... 3) Do something for me (i.e I haven't painted my nails for months) Just for today (8/4) 1) Stay within my allowance 2) 30 minutes of exercise…

  • Ok, so I just had a look at the calculator link and it came out at 1423, if I then take off the 20% I'm left with 1138.4. Even if I take off 15% it gives me 1209.55 and it recommends between 15 and 20 %. Looks like I'm going to stick with the 1200 a day then!
  • Thanks both, I do try to plan ahead where dinner is concerned. We shop on Saturdays with a meal list for the week. I stay away from pre-packed, frozen and chilled meals and cook my own from recipes. I don't wish to be the teen again really, my 'ideal, healthy' weight is meant to be 8 1/2 - 9 1/2 stone but I'm happy at 10…
  • I think your husband knows what his issues are, it's just easier to beat you up emotionally than deal with any of it. I had an abusive partner for 13 years, he constantly told me that I was worthless, fat, ugly and that no-one would ever want me. To this day no-one knows the full story of how he treated me except my…
  • Hi, I really need some friendly support on my journey! I have used mfp before and got results but slipped back into the bad habits :/ I am fiding it hard to balance life and a new way of eating at the same time and give in quite easily. I believe one of my issues is that I have few friends on here and therefore no-one to…
  • It sounds like you are in a similar position to me except for the alcohol as I very rarely drink and there is no way I'd have the calories spare for it! I think, like me, you already know what you need to do it's just a case of doing it. The only advice I could offer right now is not to change too many things at once. If…
  • Thanks. I could work it out that way too I suppose :)
