I had a tire tube and with cardio workouts, the fat seemed to melt away. It just takes some time, for me about 3 months before they were gone! Good luck.:tongue:

Today is my off day. I don't like my off days because I feel I should be doing something. I do take my daily 40 minute walk. And if I get to feeling really guilty, I will go outside and do some landscaping or gardening, perhaps swim a couple laps.

If you want an accurate count you will need at HRM with chest strap. Sears has older Polar F4s on clearance, and works beautifully!

I went through that for one month and began calorie cycling changing my calories anywhere from 1200 to 1650 to keep my body guessing... IT JUMPED started the weight loss again. Highly recommend and you get to eat a little more which is fun!:flowerforyou:

Since for months, i drink as much water and unsweetened tea as possible, I have found that I have lost my taste for soda. I just gave away my last 12 packs yesterday. I dont think I will ever want to waste a beverage on soda. Wine maybe, soda no!:laugh:

Yes, just got back from a 4 mile walk. I have a pomeranian and a rat terrier. They both love our daily walks and we never do less that 2 miles walking and running combo. My Rat loves to lay over my ankles as I do leg lifts. Hey it is an extra 10 lbs. As for them, I feel this will keep they joints and bodies healthy!:tongue:

It is very true to eat well, costs more. I now collect coupons, browse online ads and shop well. It is worth the extra effort and this way you can save money for important things like REWARDS!:tongue:

Hey, I know how you feel. My Mom passed away a few months ago. That however was the time in which I decided I needed to do things for me and my health. In this 3 months, I have lost 16 lbs, got a great haircut, whitened my teeth and am really beginning to feel good about myself. All this positive energy and exercise too…

Found that Sears has Polar F4 (older model)on clearance. Quite a savings, easy to use and works great!

I don't eat back my calories and like you workout 6 days per week. Last week dropped only .2 for the whole week and just weighed in and lost 1.1 lbs in 3 days. It fluctuates weekly.

I have been using a Polar HRM for several weeks now. I am so relieved to know exactly what I am burning rather that using generic sources since we all burn calories differently. I too see my calories burned declining as I continue to lose. But that's a good thing right?

I'm not sure that these would be good on a regular basis. I do have Atkins shakes maybe once per week while on the go. They fill you up but it does not last and leaves you hungry even with additional snacks in the afternoon and tons of water. So that might leave you open to eating other stuff too!

I faithfully track my food the night before and write it down and place it on the fridge. In my 1200 calories I include 2 glasses of wine...which of course has no nutritional value, but I cram a whole lot of fruits and veggies and protein in daily. Now if I work out a whole lot...I can use those extra calories for extra…

I always get 3 fruits in per day. This can include raisins, craisins, dried fruit or even juices. WIth vegetables, I always keep raw stuff and spray with dressing as a snack and double up on portions for dinner. Keep in mind that you should get 3 servings of dairy per day too.

If you are not up to making the whole corned beef and cabbage meal which you could yield 1 serving (5oz meat and 1 cup veggies) for 340 calories....you can visit the deli for lean corned beef and improvise!! Gotta wear green, gotta eat IRISH!

I don't know about Special K but I occasionally drink the Atkins Shakes. They are delicious and I drink one instead of an entree for lunch and just supplement with additional fruits and vegetables. I also eat South Beach protein cereal bars daily and South Beach protein snack bars in the evening. The extra protein is good…
