Been gone a few days but heres my final point to anyone cutting at 1200.... At some point you will adjust. At some point you will stop losing the fat. So if.... The 4 major biological functions of fat tissue are (1) energy storage (2) toxin storage (3) protection against insulin resistance, and (4) protection against…

You dont eat enough. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12

Eat foods high in Vitamin A,E and K. These help restore elasticity in the skin.

Calculate TDEE. Lift a heavy compound routine 3x a week. On lift days eat 20% above TDEE. On rest days eat 10% below TDEE. Weight loss will stop. Fat loss will continue. Lean mass gains will happen slowly. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 PM me if you need help. EDIT:…

You should shoot for no more than a pound a week. Depending on your hormonal levels and your activity, this may either slow or speed things up. Props to whomever posted the road map.

I do! It works!

You are too lean for a 1lb loss per week. Please read this forum before continuing your journey. It will answer all your questions and hopefully explain why 1200 probably isnt right for you. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/10665-newbies-please-read-me-2nd-edition PS: If you understand the term "skinny-fat" and you…

Anyone who doesn't have metabolic disease can lose fat eating the ways I suggest. Personally I'd love to eat the proper amount of food as opposed to slowing their metabolic rate. I used to sit for hours running numbers for the early crew. I did it on my free time and its certainly thrilling to get an email gearing one of…

I'm curious what starting stats you had. Age Weight Body fat% And current Age Weight Body fat% I highly doubt you've lost no LBM. I also can tell you are suffering from metabolic damage. I have women in their 60s at 5' eating closer to 2k a day and losing fat. How long have you been dieting? What's ultimate goal? As for OP…

A couple good reads for you. Keep in mind that the difference between 1200 and 900 cals is like splitting hairs. http://goaskalice.columbia.edu/reduced-fat-and-calorie-diets-how-low-too-low And on metabolic damage caused by improper diet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHHzie6XRGk&sns=em

Lol well that touched a nerve! So at higher cals you didn't lose any fat or weight. Training was perfect and nutrition was perfect? How long did you attempt the higher cals?
-
At your height and weight+activity you could lose fat with minimal LBM lost eating 1600-2200/day. You'll have better energy as well as a higher hormonal state that fosters a better fat loss environment.
-
Okay. What's your Age Height Weight Body fat% Occupation Routine Just so we can be on the same page.
-
Lets all do some simple math shall we? If we need .70-1g protein per pound of lbm to maintain LBM. And we need .45-.70g fat per pound of LBM to maintain good hormonal levels. If protein =4cals per gram and fat =9cals per gram.... Most people at 1200cals won't get proper nutrients from food to maintain LBM while cutting nor…

Aviva, What's your: Age Height Weight Body fat% Occupation Workout routine Just curious. PS I've had this conversation with 100s of people who subsequently failed said diet.

Over time if she cuts body fat to a significant amount she will lose the hang. It all boils down to hormones and vitamins. First things first is getting proper diet in. Eating 1600 then below 1k is not right for your type of diet. Thats what bodybuilders prepping for a competition do because they have the muscle to sustain…

This was what I was going to say. ;D

These things will take time. Eat proper food and get your Macro/micro nutrients in. So plenty of protein At least 2 cups veggies and 2 cups fruit Nuts, oils and fatty meats Take a multivitamin daily as well as fish oil and youll get back to where you were.
-
You don't have a goal of 1200. You have a base of 1200+exercise calories. This will generally put you upwards of 1600/day if you are doing it right. Don't worry about specific macros at this point unless you are below 25% body fat. If you are below 25% body fat you'll need a different approach to get to your goals and…

You'll have to admit I've been an angel this year. I told the gang "No crusades!"

*raises hand* Oh! I know this one!!!!!

You look amazing! And way to go eating the right calories per day! I often get into battles with women about caloric intake. Let it be said that you are 5'1" eating close to 2k a day and looking FAB!!!!!!

Props to the girls of IPOARM! Nice work!

Well done!

First off HOLY CRAP DIZZLE!!! YOUR BACK IS WOW!!!!!! Secondly it seems that OP posted the thread to ask a question the refute everything offered. I still dont understand why when people have issues with any program that they dont go to the source. It doesnt compute!
