  • I tend to keep it closed because last time I had it open everyone had an opinion and it got pretty nasty.
  • Thank you!!! I'm so excited!!! My first all-inclusive resort vacation! :)
  • Thank you! It's been a little over 4 weeks, but also my measurements are not budging. So I don't think that it's water retention - that had occurred to me at the beginning. I mentioned something like this to my OBGYN and she looked at me like I had 2 heads, LOL. It is interesting to me, though, I'll have to look more into…
  • I'll take a look, thanks! I have NONE of that in my diet. I'll take a look at those macros, I love protein, so that might help. I have in the past, but since I started up again, no. I'm not sure I can exercise more than I already am, LOL. I'll definitely take a look at this. I can't imagine raising my carbs though!!
  • I see what you're saying. I guess it's difficult because there's no real good way to estimate my TDEE with activity. I will try to be patient - thank you for your input!
  • I normally do try to have a rest day, but I'm going to Punta Cana in 39 days and I was trying to push for some more progress! I have been active my whole life so my body is used to doing something 7 days/week, but you might be right that I may be pushing it too far right now. Thank you for your input!
  • Thank you. Did you see my post right above with the 2 different calculations based on me putting in my body fat?
  • So this was interesting. I did 2 different calculations - one with my body fat percentage and one without. Very different results. I'm not sure how accurate my scale is with the body fat percentage so that's why I didn't use it to do the calculation at first. With the second calculation, it looks like to eat 500 under my…
  • No, I did the TDEE based on a sedentary lifestyle. But I'm 5'8", 232 lbs. I'm 40 years old.
  • Yep, I follow a program so I'm doing it every single day.
  • I weigh naked, LOL. I have one of those scales that measures body fat percentage and weight, water weight, etc. I will say that I drink very little water every day. It's something I'm working on. But other than my workouts, I tend not to drink anything. I basically lost about 4 pounds right off the bat (water weight) and…
  • No worries, replies were quick - I just updated the original post. Yep, logging every damn thing, LOL. I have a great kitchen scale that I use and I weigh absolutely everything. Thank you and thank you for your kind response! :)
  • I understand that the calorie burns are not 100% accurate - which is why I don't eat back any calories at all. My TDEE is 2411. So 500 calories under that would be 1911. If I'm eating 1600, shouldn't I be dropping weight like crazy?
  • Sporadic meaning I joined a few years ago, so I didn't use it constantly, but when I'm "at it," I log everything, every day. So for the past month, I have been.
  • Hi, sorry! It's been a little over a month now.
  • No, I don't eat back my exercise calories. I eat 1600, regardless of whether I exercise or not. Sodium and sugar are pretty low because I cook all my own food and don't add anything to it. Thank you so much for your friend offer. Sometimes I hesitate to post on here because people can get nasty to each other. I'm not about…
  • Gross 1600. I eat 1600, regardless of what I burn or don't burn. This has been going on for over a month now.
  • I've heard that sometimes if people are expending a lot of calories, sometimes their body likes more in order to burn more, so that's why I was considering it. I've been at this over a month now. Yes, but that's also why I don't eat back my exercise calories. Even without exercise, my basal metabolic rate is higher than…
  • First of all, solidarity. Been there SO many times....there's a reason why not everyone is fit and thin - it's hard!!! It can be really daunting to try to do it all at once. I know you want to lose the weight NOW but sometimes you try too hard and burn out and wind up in a worse spot than you were before. My advice is to…
  • Very very helpful, thank you so much!! I'd rather overestimate, so I think I will log as either a large or extra large fast food fries. This is why I hate not having control over the food! Thankfully this is a rare occasion. Thank you so much for your help!
  • Bump for saving...thanks for the great ideas!
  • GREAT job and I absolutely love your attitude! I am finally successful now after realizing 2 things: 1) I don't need to eat Paleo, clean, vegetarian, etc. I can whatever I want and stay within calorie range and be happy and successful. 2) This is all a lifetime way of eating. Moderation. No "cheat" days, maybe days I go…
  • Amazing!!! Love the facial hair too, very hot!
  • Awesome results!!!!! I have 1 1/2 weeks left and I feel amazing. I can't wait to take my after pics, I hope they look as great as yours!! Are you going to do another round or do something else? I just got T25 so I'm going to do that, and then probably do the PiYo/T25 hybrid schedule.
  • I know, and I even said later in the thread....that's exactly why I'm back, because it didn't work, obviously. I guess it's just hard when it came off so quickly in the past to see it come off slowly now, even if it's better for me. I just have to get my head around that, that's all.
  • Thanks, but I get spammed enough on Facebook by Visalus people.
  • I definitely will be doing that in the future. I have found that if I try to jump in excluding foods or focusing too much on macros, etc., I get myself burned out quickly, so this time I wanted to start slow with calories, and then maybe start setting smaller goals for myself, like more water, certain number of…
  • Very helpful link, thanks for sharing! LOL, ok. Sure. That's what I said.
  • It definitely helps to hear others' experiences with this, I really appreciate everyone for sharing!!! It's extremely helpful and keeps me going. :) I do have a followup question for those that don't lose regularly: That 3 lbs. was all at once (I know it wasn't really, but that's how the scale registered it). So for the…
