Are those the shirataki noodles? Heard about them but never tried.

Occassionally I will get a sharp pain at the temple when doing cardio. I didn't know it was common and was afraid to continue exercising so I would stop when this happened. I have told my doctor about it but he seemed clueless. For me it's my body telling me it's had enough. Being 51 years old, anytime I feel something out…

"Don't sweat the small stuff". Any form of cardio is good! Whether your heart rate is up from elliptical or gazelle it's up and burning calories.

I would have to say that is a perfect food diary. Healthy whole foods. You shouldn't have a problem with those foods.

I've had tennis elbow and it takes at least a year to feel better even after having a cortisone shot. I feel like it never completely heals cause anytime I do something that involves a repetetive motion (like bicep curls) it seems to flare up. That is what keeps me from doing weight resistance workouts for upper body. I've…

Beautiful words Rachel. You shoulld write a book of inspiration cause you definitely have a way with words and are full of wonderful thoughts. I love reading your posts.

Thank you everyone. I am going to increase calories to 1500 and try to mix up the exercise routine.

I hear ya! I am 51 and have the same problem. I have been counting calories and eating healthy and it has taken me a year and a half to lose 39 lbs, and that's with being very diligent with eating right and exercising. It so discouraging when I read about people who have lost over 100 lbs. in a year but hey, they say…

Very interesting. What a great idea. Wishing you success.

An amazing journey from an amazingly, wonderful person. You are an inspiration to so many and I'm happy to hear that you will be with us even after you get to goal. Thank you Rachel for sharing and God Bless you always!

I never realized this before. Thanks for sharing. I will be looking at packaging now too.

Citrucel powder mixed with water is doctor recommended when my husband had digestive problems. It comes orange flavored and tastes like Tang. I think they may have a sugar free version too. It's better than Metamucil because it doesn't give you gas.

Cake that is healthy sounds like an oxymoron to me. The only thing I can think of would be a fruit tart maybe.

I sastisfy my pizza craving by having a sliver which is aboiut 3 bites. You can eat anything as long as you count it towards your daily calories and or work it off with exercise. Don't beat yourself up about it. Work it in. It's life!

The way I feel after a workout is what keeps me doing it on a regular basis. I can't explain it and don't know if it's physical or psychological but it is such a good feeling and exercising is so good for health, reduces stress, good for maintaining healthy blood pressure and cholsterol levels too and let's not forget the…

My opinion would be the apple. It's a natural whole food and has more nutrients.

Thank you for that reminder. My scale has been hovering for the last month or so but I am pulling out clothes that didn't fit before and now they do. BTW congratulations you look great in that suit and what a great friend you have who believes in you.

I am currently a member but since joining MFP and following their calorie recommendation I have had much better success than Weight Watchers. I haven't counted points in months. I am a member until November and then that's it. I'm not rejoining. MFP all the way for me plus it's FREE! Can't beat that. Count calories. I got…

RUNNING!

My fave is legs from the mid thigh down which are very toned from 20 years of walking 4 miles per day. Now the inside of upper thighs is my problem spot with bulges of fat that only liposuction will get rid of I'm afraid. I can't figure that one out though.

My favorite is plain Greek yogurt with fruit and topped with wheat germ. Can also add honey, peanut butter. Use your imagination. The possibilities are endless and it's good for you.

We have been gardening for years now and love all the fresh veggies. I have been eating grilled eggplant and peppers from the garden all summer. It's so good and good for you. Everything's organic of course. I've made 4 pints of fig jam already from my tree and am waiting for the rest to ripen. We had a little hornet…

I am currently a WW member but since joining MFP in May of this year I no longer count points. I will be a WW member until November and then I am not renewing my membersip cause I've had better success since joining MFP. It took me a year to lose 20 lbs. on WW and since joining MFP in May I have lost 18 lbs. Plus, I find…

I pretty much eat paleo. Lean protein like chicken and fish. I cut the red meat cause I had cholesterol issues but now that is gone and I'm sure this way of eating has helped. Also fresh fruits and veggies, nuts and legumes too. But I have to have my plain fat free Greek yogurt and I am pretty sure that is not considered…

1/2 - 2 lbs. per week is considered healthy weight loss.
-
What's your secret to losing that much per week? I have only lost 3.5 lbs. in the last 6 weeks and I have been eating right and working out. Thank goodness I have the patience to keep at it. Probably cause I like to work out and eating healthy is good for you in the long run. Being older makes it harder to lose to is what…

I can relate in the opposite direction. I have hips but barely fill out a B cup and it's been that way no matter what I weigh and I've been at lots of different weights., I guess your bust size is what it is. I have a hard time filling out my tops and forget anything that remotely looks like a halter type dress. I wouldn't…

I go by dry volume because the volume you're talking about is from the added water and water is calorie free.

The right way to measure is to first wrap the measuring tape around your torso under your boobs. Then measure around your boobs. Every inch over what your torso is is a cup size. So if your torso measures 34 inches and around your boobs it's 37 then you are a 34 C. Good luck! Or just go to Victoria Sectret and they will do…
