That's kind of what I was thinking. I started at about 200 lbs and I've only been eating 1200 calories plus eating back all my exercise calories.

Can you go grocery shopping with your mom and pick out some healthier stuff? Stick to the perimeter of the store - meat, dairy, fruits, veggies. Try to eat fewer things that come in a box. Maybe try Fiber One bars instead of pop tarts. Try to get the most nutrition you can for the calories. Things that are all carbs/sugar…

I went gluten free and dairy free in April to try to clear up an itchy rash I had on my legs. I had the rash for almost 2 years. The doctor had no clue what caused it, nothing helped (creams, lotions). So, a nutritionist recommended gluten/dairy free. The rash cleared up within a few weeks. I have since added back in some…

Yes! I have to buy gluten free stuff and everyone else can eat regular stuff, which is usually cheaper. So, I always tell them to eat the regular stuff, not my more expensive stuff. Or if I measure out the right amount of something, then my kids keep wanting bites of it, and I have no idea how much I actually ate. So…

If it's not something I can stick with for the rest of my life I am not doing it. This isn't a diet, it's a lifelong change. No way would I give up all alcohol. I like wine - I drink it, I log it, I make room for it in my diet. Basically any really sweet, fruity drink is going to be the worst diet-wise. Red (dry) wine is…

My family is heavy too, and my parents have lots of health problems because of it. I just look at it as motivation for me to NOT end up like that. I tell them what I am doing and they can see the results. Nothing more I can do. We will see if I avoid the health problems they have - knee and hip replacements, heart stents,…

HA! Yes, that and the lower abs that just won't ever be the same after 2 C/S. The kids ask why my boobs are "flat" on top. Because of YOU that's why. Oh well, worth it I guess.

No one but my husband knows I use this site and log everything, because he is doing it too. If anyone asked I would tell them, but no one else around me seems interested in losing weight.

Gluten intolerant, so once you eliminate those foods, it's most of your carbs. The gluten free foods they make are pretty much just empty calories made from starches, no point in eating those. I don't try to eat low carb per se, it's just what happens when I eat the foods I want to eat and can eat.

I don't mind a hairy chest, but if it creeps up your neck, over your shoulders and onto your back, I'd at least wax the "overgrowth"

I read all 3 books although I didn't really care for them. Here is a link to an earlier thread, the review posted is hilarious. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/684327-50-shades-of-grey-yo That being said - Channing Tatum - yum!

This, only sometimes I would eat 6. :embarassed:

String Cheese Beef Jerky Cottage Cheese Fruit (Apples, berries, or watermelon are my faves) Nuts - almonds, peanuts, macadamia nuts Trail mix if you watch your serving size Greek yogurt with berries mixed in I just can't get in to raw veggies - wish I could, but can't make myself eat them. I like them cooked though

I just eat a protein shake in the morning. I eat Paleo/Primal, not specifially low carb, but it tends to be pretty low carb without eating any grains. I feel great and the weight is coming off.
-
Pretty much any way - usually scrambled or fried (over medium) with a little bit of runny in the middle. That was better when I ate toast though. Omelettes - my fave is spinach, tomato, bacon and cream cheese. And of course they gotta be cooked in bacon grease.

You just started a list of reasons to keep going: - I haven't become a "100 lbs lost" story yet!!! - I haven't gotten off of my blood pressure meds yet!! - I'm not in a size that doesn't begin with a 2 yet!! Think of some more and stick them up around the kitchen. You can do it! And also be sure you don't have the attitude…

This, except I was 21 and now I am 38, must have been the year bag phones became reasonably priced.

I have the same body type too. I like to do wind sprints once a week or so. I could be wrong, but those seem to make my butt and thighs feel less jiggly.

For some reason I tend to have plateaus for 2-3 weeks, then lose 4-5 lbs rapidly, then plateau again. It's frustrating, but when you look at the weight loss overall it is a normal rate of weight loss, 5ish lbs a month. I don't know if it's my body adjusting to the new weight or what. I'm ok with it though since I'm not…

Yeah, I do cardio more than once a day sometimes. Just because I like to do it - bike ride, kayak, play tennis, take the dog on a long walk. If it wasn't for the fact that I log it in mfp I wouldn't really think anything of it. It's just being active.

38 yr old mom of 2. I've got about 20 more lbs to go. Feel free to add me.

Yes, replace them all with bacon.

I'm 5'7" started at 201 and my goal is 150.

Only if they are interested in how I am doing it. I do find myself wanting to spread the word about going gluten free, particularly when I hear people complaining about all their health problems. Most people won't even try it for 30 days to see if they feel better, even if they are miserable with auto-immune diseases and…

Yeah, mfp has carbs set high. You can adjust it in the settings. Do a search to see how, I did it, but can't remember how right now. I keep it under 100g as well. In fact today I have had 21g. And I work out every day.
