• I almost peed my pants!
• Also when people refer to 2011 as two thousand AND eleven. Please do not use AND!!!!! Or when we went from '09 (Oh-nine) to '10 (Oh-ten) Actually it's just 10!
• Ok I can't believe no one has mentioned these.... "To tell you the truth..." I would hope you always tell me the truth. "That's a mute point." Actually it's a moot point. My old boss used to say this one all the time.
• My OB's scale adds a few lbs, but my GP's shows me 5 lbs lighter. Remember they are comparing your weight to what you weighed on THEIR scale last time so your loss should match what you are measuring even though the ending weight doesn't match. Rosied915 - I have to say I would have flipped out about the whole onederland…
• Or when your "bigger" friends want to give you advice on your diet? Really? Because that doesn't seem to be working for you.
• MFP has me eating 250 calories more. I have mfp set to 1/2 lb per week, but I actually lost 1lb/week. So calories per hour was correct.
• I was getting headaches, but it may be a combo of a few things. As for breastfeeding, my baby will be one tomorrow, so even though he hasn't weaned, he doesn't feed like a newborn either. The times I have felt dizzy is because I have lacked sleep (which happened no matter how many calories I've eaten) and baby boy has only…
• If you are planning on breastfeeding I would agree that you wait. I was a DD before kids and while breastfeeding 2 of them I went up to an E, but after the weight loss I am down to a D. Some women keep the size after breastfeeding and some get smaller afterwards. I am looking forward to my surgery in the next year or two.
• I believe that your burn .75 calories, per pound you are, per mile if you run. For instance, I weigh 160lbs x .7 = 120 calories per mile. The formula is .53 if you walk so 84.8 calories per mile if you walk. This article below explains why running burns more.…
• Mine have lightened up since losing weight, but I found that getting sun helped to hide them better. Are yours darker or lighter than your regular skin tone? Mine were lighter.
• I love my coke 0 and I haven't given it up. I still have lost 57 lbs.
• My 13 month old just started sleeping thru the night in the last few weeks. I hope now that I am getting more sleep that I will be able to lose my last 12 lbs! I did sleep 8 hours last night and I felt much better this morning. I am pretty sure I haven't slept thru the night in about 3 years since I have a 2 year old too.…
• My hubby just joined me after 8 months. He is on day 8 and he is doing great! I was fortunate before he started on the health-kick with me though. He craves salt and red meat. Those were his "bad" foods, but mine were sweets. So I was able to resist the stuff he had in the house because I didn't crave it. I did calculate…
• The middle of my normal BMI weight is 147, but my lowest weight in my adult life is 148. Plus 148 put me at a 70lb loss so I picked that number. I am 12.6 lbs away from my goal.
• I do this and put it on a bagel thin for a total of 250 calories and 17 g protein.
• Me too. I have a 25 mo old and a 13 mo old.
• I seriously have OCD about germs. I REFUSE to use public bathrooms. I would much rather pop-a-squat (not that I ever have instead of using a public bathroom) than to have to enter the germ infested bathroom somewhere. Now that my 2 year old is potty trained I have to use public restrooms. GROSS!!!
• I'm pretty sure the only time I get to use the bathroom alone is when I am at work. And I relish the moment. Yesterday my 2 yo was brushing her teeth and the 1 yo was on my lap for my longer bathroom break. I wish I could find a creative way to use the bathroom in peace!
• I am SO using that one!
• I shop on Friday and prep meals on Saturday. You can freeze all these then just cook throughout the week. I separate each recipe into two meals so I have 6 days worth of meals and I just add steamed veggies or whatever. Crisp Crab Cakes Recipe courtesy Ellie Krieger for of Food Network Magazine Ingredients 1 tablespoon…
• I have IBS with the opposite problem, but I used to have your problem. Do you exercise? That helped me when I used to have that problem. And drink ALOT of water. Have you tried the fiber bars, cereal of muffins? Sometimes the insoluble fiber can help even if it can cause some stomach discomfort.
• Not if you are overweight to begin with. My doctor told me to gain NO MORE THAN 15 lbs with each of my pregnancies, BUT the first I gained 38 lbs. and the second 43 lbs. Unfortunately the babies were only 7 lbs each.
• I gained 43 lbs during my second pregnancy. I did breastfeed, but couldn't get all of it off. Now I am 47 lbs lighter than I was before I got pregnant the first time. If I can do it then so can you. Make sure you put your goals on paper or on here. It makes me feel more committed when I actually have put them out there.
• Perfect solution when you go over calories. Hubby loves it when I go over.
• I only weigh in once a week so I didn't see a huge shift, but I did start to lose right away. I was 169 for 6 weeks then once I started zig zagging I lost a pound per week for the next 5 weeks. Search plateau and there is a post about the different cycles of weight loss. This is just a stage and if you stick with it you…
• Chicken breast, peanut butter, almonds, turkey breast, eggs.
•
I've gotta ask...why twizzlers? They are just as bad as any of the rest. And a piece of chocolate is actually better...especially dark chocolate. Twizzlers are pure sugar, like sticking a spoon in the sugar bowl and eating it....no better than any of the other candy.
My oldest likes twizzlers and I don't.…
• I am in the final stage too. I have lost 1.8 lbs in 11 weeks. I have 12 more pounds to go and it is getting really tough. I am trying hard not to let my body convince me that this weight is where I need to be. I am fighting to prove that I am right and I CAN get to 148 lbs!
