  • That is wonderful. You look great. I went from morbidly obese to overweight also, it is a great feeling.
  • I do WW and MFP and have for almost a year. I had never done WW before so can't say if this program is better but I hear they are more focused on healthy eating habits. I did on line only the first 9 months and just joined so I could do the meetings about 3 weeks ago since I am about 5 pounds to goal and when you make goal…
  • I found some great exercises on Amazon prime for seniors, they can be done sitting in a chair or standing. https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detail/B07CZ3BDS5/ref=atv_mv_hom_1_c_R1idc9_2_1

  • Hi everyone. I will be 65 shortly and have been a on again off again member of MFP for years. Every time I stop logging I slowly start gaining it back. I am 6.4 pounds away from goal and down a little over 60 pounds this go around. I also go to WW because there is something about weighing in front of people that is helping…
  • It is easy because it is what you are used to, when you do this long enough this will what you are used, eating right and exercising. There will be days where you just don't feel like it which is normal but the secret is to keep doing it until it is habit.

  • Ok, have to ask, what is chub rub? I don't miss anything about being fat, not one thing. I love being in mediums, love shopping and love finally being successful at trying to lose weight.
  • Just a update since I have had the bike for few weeks, love it love it love it. I have looked at other folding bikes and although some of the really expensive ones have features I would just love this one is great. I keep it in my trunk so I have it whenever the mood hits me for a ride or when I was going shopping the…

  • I am 64 and have arthritis and bad knees, all the things that come with working hard all my life and getting old as dirt. Water aerobics is super great for people with bad knees, it takes off so much stress doing exercises in the water, walking in the water is great. Losing the extra weight is great also, I was getting…

  • I lost 35 pounds in 5 months without any exercise but working. I have lost the next 30 with diet and exercise because the more you lose the more you want to move and I find exercising to my limit really fun, especially because I couldn't do it for so long. Just don't set a date to get it done by, just take it week by week,…
  • You can add me. I log every day and have been doing this for a long time. Support always helps.
  • Feel free to send me a friend request. I am 64 and down almost 100, this year 60+. We can all use support and help along the way. Welcome.
  • I am almost 65 and in 7 pounds will be down 100. MFP helps me stay in my calorie range. I have had stops and starts but always come back here when I want to lose weight. It helps.
  • I am 64, close to 65. I started slow knowing I was in it to get healthy and not swimsuit ready. I have lost 60 pounds in 10 months and almost 93 since I started. Belief me when I say it was not easy getting back into shape. I didn't exercise at all the first 35 pounds except work. But I wanted to get fit and stay active…
  • Very interesting article and informative.
  • I did 12 miles the other day and no soreness, the saddle so far is very comfortable and the new grips my husband put on worked like a charm, no hands going numb. It's going to be a nice riding season. Course we had to drive 15 miles away to find places to ride since we are flooded again.
  • Finally decided to do a before and after picture, this has literally taken me years and I have a ways to go, but it will never be backwards. Goals this month, do a 28 mile ride, lose weight of course and stay healthy. Julia
  • We have been raining non stop and expect flooding again which means all our bike trails will be under water soon again. This is getting very old. I want to ride my bike, not clean up wet basements.
  • My husband put this seat on for me to try, it was one we used to have he gave to our son who never used it. I am going to try it out and see how it works, if it every stops storming.
  • My husband helped me figure out my sit bone and we are going to our local bike shot to look at what they offer. They let you try them out to see what works. I love our bike shop.
  • Went on my first ride wearing my helmet, while I was riding no problems but as soon as we stopped at I took the helmet off I was sweating up a storm on my head, I am talking dripping wet hair. dang husband looked perfectly normal, I looked like I needed CPR. It was 80 out but we only went 8 miles. My head always sweat bad…

I got it at my local shop but they carry it on Amazon I believe. Now I am looking for padded undershorts. I have lost 55 pounds since last year so lost a…
  • Lovely, wish I were there.
  • I am now just overweight, not obese or morbidly obese like I used to be. And when I got ready for my bike ride had to tighten the Velcro on my shoes because they were too loose.
  • That is what I don't like about group riding, I usually only ride with my husband and even then we have had some near misses. Glad it wasn't worse and good job finishing the ride.
  • I have lost 53 pounds this go around making it a total of 87 pounds. I have gone down several sizes. I still feel fat and have to retrain my brain that it isn't true anymore. I still find myself thinking I should look in plus sizes even though I haven't worn plus sizes for months. I still worry I won't fit in a booth, but…
  • I bought this mirror which attaches to my helmet. I always had trouble with a mirror that didn't slip around so this should be great.
  • I have ridden several hundred miles also, up and down mountains, full speed down paved roads, back trails and was extremely lucky not to every wreak but I am older, break easier and finally broke down and decided to take the plunge. Mackha, so glad the helmet saved your life. Even my husband started wearing one…
  • Went and tried on this helmet in another color and really liked so ordered in the color shown on the trek site. Now I will probably have a wreak, LOL. It fits great and seems cool enough.
