Don't EVER stay with someone because you think "maybe he'll change." He won't, not for the next 40-50 years (if not more) anyway, and that's the truth. You deserve better and you know it.

This isn't always true, unfortunately. A lot of people see a warped image of themselves when they look in the mirror. Personally, I'll know I don't have to lose any more when I no longer have a hanging flab on my tummy... when I can see some definition on my abs.

Hmm... Tomorrow I might be losing my first life! I've been sick since yesterday night; hopefully the icky sickness will go away soon.

In addition to staying near your calorie limit, you also have to pay attention to your macros. I'd make sure you're getting enough protein and fat. (MFP's default value for protein tends to be too low, BTW)

Also, to some people, arguments and debates don't have to be emotional or confrontational. For them, it's simply a way to gain new knowledge and learn about stuff, even if that 'stuff' is just the other person's opinion sometimes. I came across this blog article (IIRC) where someone compared it to Roman gladiators and…

It really depends. Some people criticize others because that's how they make themselves feel better about themselves. Others do it because they "know" they're right, and they want the rest of the world to acknowledge them. Similar but different case is when someone gets passionate about something (like eating your burnt…

Is it just me, or did the spreadsheet change a LOT?

Exactly... What if somebody had serious allergies? She needs to take that kind of stuff into consideration.

I just hate being overweight. Period. Specific details... Let's see. 1. Thighs rubbing. 2. Getting tired more quickly than I would without the excess weight. 3. Looking older than I'd like to look! I grew up in South Korea and their attitude towards beauty annoys me BIG TIME!!

I don't eat anything when I'm watching TV/ movies. I'm used to playing video games in front of a TV, which means both hands occupied... which in turn means no eating.

I'd just make sure 1) you're not hungry throughout the day, and 2) you get enough nutrients at the end of the day. Sometimes I find it hard to get enough nutrients when I have a dessert, because desserts are usually full of empty, non-nutritious calories.

Great job! And you know this is just the beginning... I bet you'll be fitting in even smaller sizes next time you shop! Keep up the awesome work!

Give it a try, and if it becomes unbearably painful, switch to walking/ take a break?

I have the opposite problem... My dog is more active in the snow, and I can't keep up with her without sufficient traction.

Lean meats, Greek yogurts, and protein shake! Grilled chicken breast is my staple. I eat it pretty much every day. Fish is good too, though I personally don't like the taste as much. If you usually eat cereal for breakfast, try putting 1/2 scoop of protein powder in your cereal.

The thing is, healthy foods tend to fill you up much more than junk food does. I can scarf down a Big Mac and large french fries and still eat more, but I can't do the same with 200g grilled chicken breast and 150g home roasted potatoes + broccoli. I usually don't have any problems eating close to my calorie limit, but I…

Try eating 100+ grams of protein per day. It fills me up!

I can't wait to start buying nice cloths that I can actually keep. My wardrobe is rather lacking at the moment. What little I do have right now is either too big on me, or super cheap.

Waist and butt are a 4 Thighs a 6, yes a 6 Calves, at least 10 OR EVEN TWELVE!

There has been some great advices as to preventing blisters. But for healing an existing blister, here's how you can do it real quick. 1) Get a sewing needle and a cotton thread. 2) Put a cotton thread into a needle; sterilize the needle (or at least make sure it's clean). 3) Carefully put the needle and the thread through…

I too weigh daily. I think it does become a problem, though, when you start getting more stressed than focused. Daily weighing works for me, but it just isn't for everyone.

I'd be worried about my body growing dependent on the shots and needing the boost just to maintain a normal energy level, even after reaching my goal weight.... So yeah, I'd stay away from them. I don't think you need B12 shots unless your body has specific issues absorbing B12 from food/ oral supplements.

It's definitely different for everyone. I wore size 6 pants when I was close to 150 lbs... Now I'm around 141 and I STILL wear size 6 pants. They're a bit loose around my waist and butt, but I can't go down a pant size yet. My waist and butt are size 4. My thighs are size 6. My calves are size 10-12. :grumble:
-
I'm a 6 at the moment and I still have loads of jiggling fat on my thighs, not to mention my enormous calves! I'll have to go down to a 2, because it's looking pretty obvious that 4 isn't going to cut it for me. I'm only 5' 1.5" and my legs are disproportionately short. I don't want to be bones-sticking-out skinny either.…

I'm about 90% my mom and 10% my dad, and they were both thin when they were my age. So I have a pretty good idea of what I'll look like.

Each party bringing their own car is better IMO, precisely for this reason! If you don't like him, you can drive away without the guy in the car. Like others have said... Never settle!

After losing all this fat, I'm going to build some sexy muscles. THEN I'm going to get a professional fitness photo shoot to show off the fruits of my hard work!
-
This also happens to me, and it's ALSO my right side. Never on my left side. I wonder why?

I have, once. It didn't get me started. I didn't buy it to motivate myself per say; I got it because I loved the design, but they didn't have one at my then-current size. So I thought, well, this weight has got to come off eventually, so might as well buy the one they have. Then I forgot all about it, started losing weight…
