  • That's sort of what I was thinking. 1,000 is a meal for my scrawny husband... or pretty much anyone who isn't calorie counting or doesn't need a diet to get thin. If you feel that bad about it, get up and do some exercise.
  • Your face looks so much thinner! Wow! Well done.
  • I hate cooking and was lucky enough to marry into a family where the women don't cook. My husbands mother is a terrible cook so his father always did the cooking. That being said I am quite capable in the kitchen when I need to be. When my husband and I cook we do so together. We decide on something we will both…
  • Losing my first full pound in two months. One pound had me crying with joy and so excited it wasn't even funny!
  •  I was just thinking that!
  • I've used food to motivate myself to exercise before. "I want Chipotle!" Husbands response: "Did you exercise?" He knows I'll workout for Chipotle. Mmmmmmmmmm, chipotle.
  • My curves. My husband has caught me prancing around in my underwear in front of the mirror more than once. I love how shapely my legs are. It's from years of bike riding as a kid. I could never be one of those girls aiming for "thigh gap". My legs are strong. I love the shape of my lips.
  • I love this site for lunch ideas: http://www.bentolunch.net/ I've been meaning to make some of her stuffed muffin ideas. Quick, easy, yummy, and not that unhealthy.
  • Actually, I'm the reverse. Before the weight loss I was always freezing. I'm still always pretty cold but I'm much warmer than I used to be. Especially on days I exercise. I'm the weirdo you see carrying a sweater with me in the summer.
  • This is what I was thinking as well. And the link to how much fish was very much appreciated! Very awesome site!
  • Ohhh, that sounds nifty. Here's the thing, can anyone tell me how many calories are in a serving of these?
  • Gold Peak has a Green tea with zero calories. I can't stand the taste, but my MIL loves it and drinks it all the time.
  • How old were you when you got engaged? 20 How long had we been together before becoming engaged? 7 years. >< Yes, we've been dating since middle school. How old were we when we got married? 20 Are we still together? (If so how long?) Yes, this will be our fifth wedding anniversary in a few short months.
  • I'm a "housewife" so am frequently alone with a yappy little dog. If I'm home alone, I don't answer unless the person is wearing a uniform. I know that sounds silly, because a uniform doesn't mean safe, but we also own guns. So if the uniform person turns out to be dangerous I am very well prepared to defend myself. No…
  • That's exactly what I was thinking. "Only"?! Those losses are awesome! And no small feat! Trust me, it will show. Sometimes it just takes a little longer. 2 inches is great! Two inches could make the different between one size and the next!
  • I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't count 2lb gains. =/ My weight is always somewhere between 144-146. I don't consider the days I'm 146 a gain, I just consider it part of my normal range. If you want to lose those and keep them off you'll need to change your routine. Either how much you are eating, what you are…
  • We kept hard boiled eggs in the fridge for awhile. I'd eat one for breakfast and a banana and be set until well after lunch time. So the protein and fiber suggestions are right on the money. I also test with water to see whether or not I'm really hungry, or just eating because I'm bored. I'll drink about 8oz of water and…
  • I suppose it depends on how the question was asked. If you were getting snarky and nasty I'd understand their discomfort. Otherwise? It's just silly. You sounded polite enough to me. Most places I eat I find the answers to questions like that in my menu as well.
  • Here's the thing, everyone is different. Some people will put on weight if they go over the calorie limit. Not everyone burns the same 1200 calories the same way. Some people need to eat more to get their bodies to do anything. For awhile if I had a random spike day and ate more calories than usual my weight would drop.
  • I've always had digestive issues. I was lucky to go three times a week. I now go almost daily, or at least five times a week. I was taking Phillips Colon Health for awhile and that helped keep me regular. My new vitamin has a probiotic built in though and so I'm giving those a shot without the Phillips to see if they do…
  • Any and all soups. We make huge pots and freeze it whenever we make something. So if you're not up to making from scratch chicken noodle, or minestrone, or bean soup then when you are feeling better you should do it. Trust me when I say it's the best thing in the world to decide I want some chili and get to take a bag out…
  • I'm going to agree with the suggestions of getting your health in order simply because they say a weight loss of just 10% of your current weight will help you get pregnant. That's why I started losing weight was to try and help myself get pregnant. Twenty six pounds down and I'm still not pregnant. I'm onto my 16th month…
  • As someone who is 5'4.5" I can assure you I am still plenty short. I still have to get chairs to reach things in my own kitchen or ask someone else to reach. Anyways, my goal is 140 because I'd like to remain slightly curvy and don't mind having a little bit of pudge. I may drop this to 135 though whenever I finally reach…
  • I think the closest I've ever come to trying to find out how many calories I was consuming was to do the math on my 5 days a week Chipotle meal. I was floored. I kept telling myself "But Chipotle is so healthy!" And it CAN be. If you do it right. But I'd have a bol with rice, black beans, chicken, mild salsa, corn, sour…
  • I had people commenting by the first five pounds, but I don't have as much to lose as some people. So I think it showed faster for me. The people who were commenting had NO idea I'd been trying to lose weight. On the other hand, with twenty five pounds down I saw family over the holidays and no one said a word. I think it…
  • haha, I kind of thought of this song as well! I am so terribly awkward and uncoordinated that you couldn't pay me to dance sexy anywhere for anyone. Including my husband. He's probably die laughing at me if I tried. I'd probably die laughing!
  • I also follow the half the body weight in ounces, but I do that because I suffer from frequent constipation and anything to keep that monster at bay is worth it. I try to drink at least 4 bottles of water a day. Using water bottles or my Bobble helps me keep track of how much I've drank for the day.
  • Yes and no? Because I work more on calorie awareness than I do calorie counting it's easier for me not to get frustrated and easier for others not to get frustrated with me. My husband being the one exception. I read packages to figure out calories to decide whether or not I really want to eat it. He sometimes rolls his…
  • I fought with my addiction to soda for YEARS. Are we sure that stuff isn't still made with cocaine? I've finally got myself to a more reasonable level. I drink a soda every once in awhile and am just as likely to order a tea as I am a soda. The only way to truly stop is to want it. I managed to get myself to stop for…
  • I don't have, will never have, and don't want her boobs but I love that she is curvy all over and is comfortable with her body. So more than anything I want to be able to accept that my thighs touch and that's okay. That I have a bit of a belly and that's okay. And in my case, that I have tiny size A boobs and that it's…
