Hey, that sounds like a great idea! And not for my son, either, but ME! LoL Halloween candy's not that big of a deal for me, but it sure would be nice to have a little treat. Thanks for the idea!

Congrats! Nothing feels better than that first twenty pounds GONE! Except, of course, seeing that 1 in the front of your numbers. GREAT JOB!!!

Breaking up with the cheeseburger is honestly the hardest thing I've ever had to do. :ohwell:
-
I tried it and it was very tasty!! I would definitely recommend it. You can order it here: http://www.discountcoffee.com/moo_magic.htm but perhaps you can looks around and find it a bit cheaper somewhere else.

I think MFP is much better than TDP anyway! Welcome! I'm just coming back myself after a long hiatus.

This is interesting because I was just visiting with my dietician two hours ago, and she wanted to find ways for me to increase daily dairy intake. She suggested and gave me a sample of something called Moo Magic. You'd have to google it, and she said it's something she orders online. Basically it's like those little…

Yea, I was here for a week before I realized MFP had a blog. I use it on occasion, but mostly use Xanga and sometimes MySpace for blogging.

That surely makes sense seeing as how prices of everything are going through the roof and we're all freaking out about it.... but it's still a little ridiculous! LoL Thanks for the input... never thought of it that way.

In the last week I've noticed several changes to the foods I've been eating. Suddenly, the yogurts I eat are no longer sixty calories, but eighty. Now the serving sizes for two of my other favorite foods have been reduced yet the calories stayed the same. None of these products said anything about having a new recipe or…

Congrats! Keep it up!

I've recently switched from Bud Light to Morgan and Diets.... They're about 65 calories each.... Which is fine, until you start drinking like a fish.... I drank ten of them the other night. :ohwell: Bottoms Up! :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

I know EXACTLY how you feel. My little guy is going to grow completely through 2Ts this winter. His feet are huge as well, and they grow so fast!!!! It's hard to keep him in shoes. How old is your little one? My Nathan is 21 months on the 18th.
-
That's a HUGE step, not a small one! I definitely know how hard that is to resist. Way to go!
-
Good job!!! :drinker:

I feel ya. I too have been slacking and really hope to get back on track before I do any more damage. Where the hell does the motivation suddenly disappear to?!?!?! Good luck to you!
-
Thanks a lot!!!! I was super surprised to see my name up there! LoL Five days till next weigh-in... Let's go Teams!!
-
Awww... this is super cute. Sounds just like my hubby.

It's so hard to truly get on board with a diet. It's just so easy to lie... even to yourself. But once you admit your mistakes to yourself, and you really make yourself accountable, it does get much easier!!!!! Great job!! Hope you see those pounds start shedding like crazy!!

Sometimes mixing things up- even unintentionally- can kind of "trick" your body and help you get over a plateau... If you're only overeating by 100-300 cals then that's not really all that much, and maybe your body just needed a break from the same old exercise routines. Anyway, good job girl! Hopefully once you start back…

Have a great day Team!

Sorry about your sad day. Sometimes, pampering yourself is a must to get through hard days. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

Welcome to all new members! Go Blue!

I agree!
-
Well, that's good news, though! Hopefully before you know it you'll see those pounds start shedding again! Good luck!

Yea, I thought about this approach to the issue, as well, but here's my thing... I'm overweight, so I'm prone to all kinds of possible future problems. Diabetes, cancer, back problems, heart problems, etc.... However, I'm also prone to some of these simply because my mother and grandmother and great grandmother (and let's…

Well, my BMI is still over 35 even after all the weight I've lost in the last year (40 pounds.) Even being as obese as I've been my entire life, I've never had any serious problems what-so-ever... or even minor problems. That being said, I think it is unfair to group everyone together. There may be others with my same BMI…

Any advice from anyone on how to avoiding plateauing for a long period of time??? Whether personal experience or just tips you've read, I'm open to anything.... As of right now I'm still losing, but I think that plateau is sitting just around the corner, stalking me in all its evilness. :grumble:

Great job! Just starting out with baby steps will give you major rewards. Good luck on your journey!!

Doing good here. Planning on eating out with my husband Saturday night and maybe having a few drinks- our first date in years! LOL- so I'm gonna be pushing extra hard to stay on track for the next few days. I haven't cheated in over a week! (Huge accomplishment for me!LOL)
