Bangor is a city (it has a Cathedral), it has a pier and countryside all around and I've never had concussion there, so it's WIN WIN WIN WIN for me
-
I don't like Brighton... got concussion there! lol

I grew up near Manchester so city wise I'd probably have to say Manchester. But as an area, I'd have to say North Wales. I really can't imagine living anywhere else now. I have the sea, the hills and the mountains all within 5 minutes of my house and it's beautiful. Conwy for the castle and the quay, Llandudno for the…

I like making the raspberry jelly and then using diet raspberry lemonade (from asda) and then putting raspberries in... mmmmm

This stuff hasn't been used for years....

Draw a line under yesterday and start again today. Beating yourself up over yesterday will only make yourself feel cr*ppy today and therefore more likely to "fail" today. You can't do anything about yesterday, you can't go back in time, so stop worrying about it :)

I've been told I've got lovely long lashes <smug> and so I don't wear fake lashes... not that I've got the co-ordination or skill to put them on anyway  I don't really wear make up, but when I do it's usually just a bit of eyeshadow, concealer, some kohl eye pencil smudged in (because it's as crooked as a dog's hind…

If you've recently switched to decaff and reduced sugar intake, it could be caffeine and sugar withdrawal symptoms. They should subside within a couple of weeks. However, with the sudden onset of any persistent headache, I would seek medical advice just to be on the safe side. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about though :)…

I'm not being funny, but over here in the UK, our food isn't quite as bad as it is over there. Our McDonalds isn't full of the same amount of rubbish as yours is, nor are the portion sizes the same. Yes, OK, there's still quite a lot of salt compared to a healthy home cooked meal, but we don't have the "50 nuggets for…

This is how I first saw the story over here in the UK: http://www.parentdish.co.uk/2012/01/26/teen-eats-only-chicken-nuggets-and-toast-for-15-years-docs-say-extreme-diet-will-kill-her/?icid=maing-grid7|uk|dl6|sec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D93748 She is now a teen of 17, capable of making her own decisions about her diet and health,…

Don't weigh yourself every day. Just once a week at a set time, like when you wake up, after going to the loo for example. I did find though, when I was on slimming world, the weeks when I was "naughty" I lost more weight...

I like a highlights/options hot choc. Esp the coconut one.

Hallo :) I wasn't on here because I was panic revising, then sitting an exam, then entertaining guests, then finishing homework, then revising for a test, then celebrating St Dwynwen's day with the hubby :D
-
I didn't mind Calculus because I quite like algebra. Biology exams are all over now! Until June :grumble:
-
I might as well say I'm putting it in a safe place then cos I never find stuff I put in a safe place
-
I hope you're not driving on this commute...

I used to work there, on the Industrial Estate on Thomas Street :) I grew up in Altrincham/Timperley area.

I spend more time looking at how others are acting in the gym rather than what they're wearing tbh (partly because of the aforementioned freezingness). I was watching one woman glaring at another (slimmer, prettier) woman on a treadmill next to her, some guy doing his arm work out for everyone to see his big muscles etc. I…

At our gym it's chuffin freezin so everyone's pretty covered up! Plus, we're in the north of the UK so it's hardly tropical at the best of times... nor do we have any tanned adonis'/goddesses gracing the leisure centre so I don't think anyone feels the need to look their best, no one's "on the pull" lol
-
Not been there for years! But I guess we both have a pier :D
-
Hallo :) I grew up in the North West, near Manchester Airport. Now living in North Wales.
-
Yeah, I guess so? Same as if you were cooking a meal for 4. I mainly use mine for soups and casseroles but you can cook a whole host of things in there.
-
...So you make extra and freeze it! Saves you cooking when in a hurry/cba

But that's what libraries are for too, so you're not buying them. I don't buy huge amounts of books, only mainly ones for study at the moment. Like I said, the only way I'd get on with a Kindle at the moment is if the books were pretty much free. Then again, the books I like to read aren't in the best sellers list anyway…

I've got the Wii fit, but seeing as the TV isn't connected to anything (despite asking the hubby several times to reconnect it again!) I can't use it at the moment. I have a vibration plate which I used to use every day but have used only a few times since getting wed. Also got dumbells, which got moved to the back bedroom…

I love mine! I just shove everything into mine, with less liquid than you think (you can always top up!) and leave it be.

I'd feel pity rather than jealousy tbh. Pity that she feels the need to tell everyone every move she makes in her supposedly perfect little world just so her sycophantic friends can tell her how amazing she is. The secret of these people who lose this weight while you're watching so hard what you eat, is that they're…

Melba toast was a suggestion I was going to make, as well as putting lentils and pearl barley in there. I'm all out of other ideas! I do like my B/Nut squash soup though, nom nom nom! Until the time hubby decided that recipes are there to be 'amended' and started sticking cloves in the soup and ruined it

If you're not bothered about owning them, use a library  I just can't get my head around the cost of a Kindle book. I know there are ways ::::ahem:::: of "acquiring" them free of charge. I think that's the only way I'd use one. I was thinking about getting a tabet for when I start my OU courses again so I can read…
