  • Before when I had lost weight, i lost weight in my feet! none of my shoes fit! Yay new clothes for new body, but what? New feet too? What the hey!
  • its not open to the public, so at the moment no we cant :)
  • I can honestly say its been over a decade since I've eaten a store bought freezer meal. Yuck! Here's an idea for you. I bought a whole ton of tupperware containers and make my own frozen meals. I might spend a weekend making food specifically for eating at work, maybe 5-6 recipes, and just portion them out and stick them…
  • I would rather be hungry! TOM for me is equal to horrible nausea for the last few years. I'm thinking its a stress response that I'm now getting instead of the horrible cramps. Hungry you know what to do to fix it. Nausea you just want to lie there and die.
  • I really hate eating out sometimes because they really are high calorie. The only thing that I've been able to do is avoid the dessert if possible, and save half the entree for another meal if its really high in calories. But if I'm going out and not being concerned with it then I'll eat everything and stop when I'm…
  • I would say to stay away from the drama. Its really not worth it. Don't spend all your money. Learn to save money, even if its just a little at a time and dont touch it unless its an emergency! Learn to love yourself and your body, and take care of it. Don't drink so much, its not worth the hangover!
  • you are going to have bad weeks and good weeks. its ok to have a cry and rail against the world as long as you pick yourself up after wards and realize that no matter if you are losing weight or not that you are changing your life and your body, that you are doing something GOOD for yourself. chin up hon, I'm having a iffy…
  • I don't know if its healthier or not, but I switched to real butter a few years ago after learning that vegetable oils can cause acne. Plus, I like the richness that real butter adds to a dish, even if its just a little.
  • Usually mild movement helps me. A short walk, a little bit of stretching, ect. I never want to get up in the first place but it really does help. That and really loose pants. Keeping the pressure off the area really helps me. And waffles... But I think that ones just me lol.
  • I would say keep 1 or 2 pants that are maybe 1-2 sizes bigger. Not because you might gain weight back, but because sometimes that dang TOM just doesn't have any mercy and you still gotta work! As for the rest? Consign, donate, or give to friends!
  • Keep your chin up, all is not lost. I went through a similar exercising slap in the face when it comes to the scale, I ate or didnt eat my exercise calories, exercised and still the scale didn't move or even went up! When I exercise I retain water so that could be something thats happening with you also. Or you could just…
  • It could be all manner of things, from the salt in the food to TOM as others have suggested, but my suggestion (which is kinda TMI) but watch your bowel movements. I weigh myself daily and sometimes if it aint comin out the scale jumps.
  • I have "goals", but in reality its more like "prizes points". So I've decided that for every 10 lbs I'm going to give myself $50 of guilt free money as a reward to spend on myself however I want. And with my buyers remorse, that's actually a huge deal, I cannot shop for myself at all, gives me panic attacks. My intent with…
  • I don't come from the same type of background, but what about asking your family members for a recipe of what you are eating on those big days? then you can kind of figure out how that will fit into your "calorie budget" and plan your portions a bit? I did this with my parents recipes so that I could eat with them, Its…
  • I have very sensitive skin and get acne all the time because it gets easily irritated. I've found that washing my face too often will make me break out. I will only shower once a day so I have to get my workouts in early, but pre workout I will wipe my face with water, then wash as normal when I shower. I also have figured…
  • I got mine at Walmart. I have horrible wrists so I actually use them instead of hand weights. I have the Golds Gym brand and I really like them. I recommend starting with a low weight and going up if you think you can take it. Mine are adjustable, so I'm starting slow and going up.
  • I eat a lot less bread/rice now. Mostly because it does have a higher calorie content and I would rather have more veggies than pasta/rice/bread. Though I did make some home made waffles this weekend....
  • A similar thing happened to my family. We all went on a 2week cruise to the Mediterranean, lots of stops, lots of food, lots of touristy exploring. We knew we were not going to be back there soon, if ever, so we went on as many sight seeing trips as possible. We would leave at 8am and arrive back at the ship around 5pm.…
  • There are parts about my relationship with food that I attribute to watching my parents (especially my mom) growing up. I don't really think it has anything to do with what I eat, but actually how I eat and "diet". Throughout my life my mom has been on a diet. She is a serial yo-yo dieter. She's done the shakes, Weight…
  • if you have any calories left in the day, when i get like that i would have a cup of non fat milk with a tbsp of hersheys syrup in it. kinda kicked the craving at least for long enough to sleep.
  • i think pistachios are supposed to be the lowest calorie, i believe they have the least amount of oil but i could be wrong. it could also be bias since i love me some pistachios!
  • you dont mention how much raspberry you add, just that its in there. how much should i add?
  • I know that addiction feeling, but sadly mine was for Diet Coke and not smokes. I say sadly since it wasn't until senior year in highschool that I actually willingly drank water. So two years ago when I gave up caffeine completely (no soda, no tea) I started drinking water when that craving came. I probably drank 2+…
  • I have the real crap side of the coin, I have both eczema and psoriasis. There were times where my husband thought I was injured because the psoriasis scabs were so bad it looked like I was damaging myself in some way. My eczema is on my hands and around my mouth. I would go to work (data entry) with my hands covered in…
  • You do have a valid point but at the same time this always seems to happen, I gain the weight instead of losing it, when I'm doing the cardio shouldn't I be losing instead of gaining? I've been doing so good that I just don't want to feel like I'm failing when I already had been doing so well.
  • I agree with shelleycolton. I had a very similar experience. I started WW before my wedding and lost 48 lbs for the "big day" which was 5 yrs ago so it was the old points system. It was a good program and it worked, but after a while I really lost motivation. They were just rolling out the web aspect of the program when I…
  • I like walking. I have bad knees so I tend to stay on the elliptical, sometimes the treadmill, but if the knees are REALLY problematic then I would probably hit the pool (no one cares what you look like if its the gym pool, they're in the same journey as you, just at a different point in their journey. IMHO) I've been on…
  • I started making my own hummus and I love to dip carrots and broccoli in it. So that way I'm getting some protein as well as a bunch of fresh veggies! Plus by making it myself I can control the flavors and how much olive oil/sesame gets into the mix. Also look up a recipe for some baked kale chips. I didn't think I liked…
  • how big are those containers? 8oz?
  • I have to admit that the past two weeks that I've been following this program I've weighed myself every day. Some days I'm up, but some days I'm down. I've been trying to use that as a clue as to how my food choices affect my body on the short term and long term. Such as going over a little on calories and fat won't mean…
