I'm definitely not a morning person but I try to get up at 5:30AM, get a full hour workout and then have breakfast and go to work. I'm slowly getting into the groove but I like it because it's easier for me to input my exercise on MFP in the morning so I can see how much exactly I can eat without going over. Plus I like…

Hey! I just started about 2 weeks ago so I'm on the same page as you. I love the site already :)

In junior high and the beginning of highschool, I struggled with anorexia but not a major as some people. I got through it but ended up gaining weight at the same time which was discouraging but I'm glad to be eating healthy and not constantly hungry.

I've heard coconut peanut butter is a healthier version, I'm not sure about how much better it is though.

I love dogs! (Read my "about me"). Welcome to MFP, it's an awesome site and it really does help. Let me know if you need anything, including encouragement. I just started about a week or two ago so I'm fairly new as well.

My personal belief is that you can go a little over when it comes to things like fiber and protein. BUT according to some websites, too much protein can be dangerous. http://diet.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Side_Effects_of_Too_Much_Protein_in_the_Diet

Welcome Heather! I'll send you a friend request. I'm at 184lbs trying to get down to 150-160 by using this site and working out 4 days a week while watching food intake. You're gonna do awesome and this is the first step on getting back on track :)

I try to weigh myself at the most every week but if I can hold out and just weigh myself every 2-3 weeks it's definitely better for my self esteem ;) The scale is not your friend if you're trying to lose weight/gain muscle. I tend to start gaining weight when I hit the gym due to my muscle gain but I'll look more tone and…

Thanks everyone, I can't even look at coconut oil right now but when I start having it again--I'll start slow and probably try a different brand as well.

The problem is that a lot of those studies are flawed and the evidence isn't as concrete as it should be. In one of the articles, it even says: "This study has major flaws and should not change anyone's diet soda consumption". I'm not saying diet soda isn't bad but I think as long as you have it in moderation, you'll be ok…

@jamielise2, I really just want to lose some weight so that my bra size (36D) will go down a size and hopefully it will be easier for me to keep working out and staying strong. People say that I don't look 184LB due to my distribution of the weight/height but they're probably just being nice ;) Plus having an entire family…

My latest favorites are "Run The World" by Beyonce, "Mercy" by Matt Nathanson and "Lights (Bassnectar Remix)" by Ellie Goulding. All amazing running songs.

Thanks you guys! Yeah, the nerve ablation was probably the most relief I've found in my experience. Unfortunately, the doctors gave me an estimated 3 years before the nerves would grow back but they believe that due to my age, the nerves grew back exponentially fast in a mere 6 months. I hope it works for you as it has for…
