I liked P90X better because it was more well-rounded- weights and cardio. Insanity was only cardio and I felt like I was losing muscle mass. Both are great programs though- and if you use the diet plan (I didn't) you'll lose even more and see better results.

I'm in- starting today! ... And I'm totally going to start using "properly pants" in conversation.
-
Just finished up last week. Don't let month 1 lull you into false confidence that it's easy- month 2 workouts are a real a## kicker.
-
Love my kettlebells! I haven't tried Kettle Worx, but I have programs by the big Russian Guy (Kettlebell Goddess?) and another program. I never realize what a workout it is until the next day!
-
I eat after. If I ate before and waited 45 minutes I'd have to get up that much earlier! 6am comes early enough for me!
-
Barefoot insanity workouts- I'm afraid of ruining my carpet wearing sneakers every day! Plus, barefoot doesn't bother me.
-
Splitting them up is a great idea! These second month exercises are much harder in addition to being a longer workout. I love it! And although I like the break Recovery give me in the middle of the week... I'm kind of bummed when the calories burned is so low.
-
I burn between 400-460 on the max workouts in 55 minutes. I feel like it should be a lot higher!!
-
I use a HRM and input it manually- but I've found the amount is really similar to the "aerobics- high impact" option.
-
Off rest week and into the second month. Day 1 kicked my *kitten*. Doing the fit test before the hour long Max killed me. I made it 45 minutes and gave up. Today I finished, but yesterday was too much! Month 2 is definitely much harder!!
-
I like the HIIT portion of TurboFire. Otherwise... youtube it?

You may not want to double your intake, but you DO need to increase your calories. You can not build muscle on a cut, and P90X is more strength training than cardio. You're going to need to up your intake to build your muscle mass. And... it's one heck of a workout and you're going to need your strength!
-
I started my 2nd month today. Did the fit test first (scores were higher- yeah!).... but then didn't have the energy to finish the workout after the fit test. Month 2 videos are HARD! I will finish though- love it so far!

I'm in!

Somedays I add weight training, or occasionally run or swim. The first month workouts did seem really short. They were hard, but after they were done I didn't feel like I had done enough. On my rest week now- I'll let you know I feel the same after the workouts jump up to 60 minutes next week!
-
I log them as weights, even though there's more cardio in kettlebells. I'd rather underestimate.
-
I'm thinking the real results come in month 2 as well. It's hard to tell so far though because I've eaten so poorly the last two weeks! I think I'm canceling out everything I've done working out. Just a few more days and I'm throwing out all of the cookies and starting fresh! Next week is the rest week- maybe I should…
-
Perfect. I'm doing insanity today anyways :)

Thanks for organizing! Name: CA Current weight: 140 Goal weight: 135 What you would like to accomplish in 90 day: I'm pretty close to goal weight, but it takes me forever to get there (it's been nearly a year to lose 8 pounds). My goal is more food related- I need to stop eating junk and get at or under my calorie goal…

Done. 250 crunches/reverse crunches and 50 full sit-ups.
-
I completely gave up any attempt at exercising and eating well over the holiday- especially since my family spreads it out over a full three days! But I'm back at it today- week 4! Looks like I'll be skipping recovery and rest day to make up for the skipped sessions over the weekend though!
-
Week 3 is almost over. Is everyone else still going? How are you doing?
-
Nice work! I did 1:45 for my interval, swimming 1:35 for the 100.
-
I had a wardrobe malfunction in the pool swimming laps. Apparently the material is getting really stretchy with wear and the front of my suit was totally out of place.
-
Just on Week 2 here. Hoping doing it through the holidays (not after) will be motivation not to over-indulge on the sweets!
-
I just started Monday. Friend me if you like. King, if you want the fit test you can do it yourself. Just time yourself doing each of these exercises for a minute: Switch Kicks Power Jacks Power Knees Power Jumps Globe Jumps Suicide Jumps Push-up Jacks Low Plank Oblique You can probably find the fit test paperwork if you…

I don't mind taking over... but I'm going to need some challenge ideas.
-
Day 2 done. Either my hrm is crap or I'm sweating buckets and only burning 150 calories.
-
I started today- I've done different videos from time to time but never in the order they were intended. Good luck! We'll need it!!!
