The idea behind eat more to lose is that so many of us women were told that we needed to eat a 1200 calorie diet to lose weight no matter what our activity levels were. I did just that even though I was running several miles a week, going to 2-3 kickboxing classes a week on top of lifting a couple of days a week. I lost a…

I am doing T25 right now and did about 6 weeks of Insanity. I pulled a chest muscle and had to stop. I like that T25 has a modifier as I am getting back into it after a pregnancy. I also am fitting it in before work since its only 25 minutes. Insanity is more intense so I think I t would depend on how much time you have…

I took a fish oil supplement as well. I also did a lot of reading on inflammation and it can be caused by an undiagnosed food allergy. I realized through trial and error that I have a gluten allergy. Between the supplement and removing gluten from my diet (for the most part) my inflammation levels dropped into a normal…

I had lost about 50 pounds and nothing in the boob area. I was a size 12 wearing a 36H bra. I had the surgery, and it was covered by my insurance. I called the insurance company and asked what I needed to do to get the surgery approved and followed their guidelines. That included me seeing a physical therapist and getting…

Listen to this lady - she knows what she is talking about (look at her weight loss ticker). The end.

You have 25-30 pounds to lose. Set your goal for 1 pound a week and eat back your exercise calories. Like others have said you don't have to eat low calorie, just weigh your food and eat at a calorie deficit. You'll keep your metabolism working the way it should be and maintenance should be easier than crash dieting. Eat…

My hubby loves Jamie Eason and would love for me to look even a little bit as good as she does.

Perhaps you just need a break for a couple of weeks. Sometimes things get mundane and we need to take a step back. I have read that when dieting for extended periods of time its best to take a break here and there from it. It's good to keep your body guessing. Also, if you workout - try something new. New class at the gym,…

If you have your goal set at 2 pounds per week, adjust it down to 1. The weight loss at this point will be slower but easier to maintain and it should give you a higher calorie goal. I agree with others that changing up calorie intake should help. Also make sure you measure everything you eat. That can be a huge…

For many years I didn't know how to figure out how to determine how many calories I burn a day. I have always read that a pound a week of weight loss is 500 calories less or split with added exercise - but less than what??? Find out your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (you burn more than your BMR everyday doing daily…

Don't forget healthy fats - oils, nut butters, nuts... I was eating gluten free for a while. The gluten free substitutes are expensive and some not so good (like bread), but pasta is pretty good. I like gluten free steel cut oats as well.

I had it in both of my feet - one first then the other a few months later. One took about a year to heal - I kept trying to run and everything else and I finally gave up the running. I continued with kickboxing though and elliptical. I did a lot of stretching, the ice water bottle under my feet, golf ball rolled under my…

Most machines are set up for 150 pound person - so yes if you weigh more than that you typcially burn more calories. The method I found most reliable is the HRM. If you are going to go off the elliptical numbers, I would recommend you input your weight for a more accurate reading.

So, I have been in your shoes. I know what you are talking about. I am currently pregnant and using this time to NOT diet, not count calories and cut back on my workouts. I am wondering when was the last time you ate at maintenance? Before I got pregnant, I was eating at maintenance, trying to get my metabolism back on…

Plus its not sustainable and a great way to gain it all back.
-
Agreed. I did the same for YEARS - undereating and overexercising. I have been trying to fix my metabolism for the last year or so. I'm currently pregnant so I'm not monitoring caloric intake however, I think if your friend eats at maintenance for a while she should be able to turn things around. It may take months though…
