  • Dont listen. That smacks of pure jealousy to me. She may not even realise it but I'd put money on it being that.
  • Hi! I put on about 3 stone when I was pregnant. I like to call it 'baby weight' but in reality it was just food food and more food! I managed to shift about 40 lbs by walking 4-5 miles every day. I started when LO was about 2 months old and if i could roughly co-ordinate with nap times, he would just sleep in the pram. I…

  • Swedish House Mafia, Armin Van Buuren?
  • I always make chicken fajita pittas. Just pan fry onions, peppers, mushrooms and chicken with one cal and a sachet of Discovery fajita mix (that's relatively low sugar content) with a squeeze of BBQ sauce (optional) then serve in WeightWatchers Pitta breads with iceberg lettuce, tomato salsa and refried beans. Super quick…
  • Hello! London calling :-)
  • Interesting topic. I think the belief in the benefits of prayer s a support/strength giving process is completely different from the idea that God will somehow physically intervene and change the metabolic processes which result in weight loss. I think the former belief is probably very instrumental in successful weight…
  • We dont have Taco Bell here in the UK but Macdonalds is my absolute weakness... I used to eat a double cheeseburger as a snack between meals on the way home and think nothing of it... until I discovered that there are something like 550 cals in one! I still think they must put some form of narcotic in them...they are are…
  • check out the scotch mega egg..so wrong but a little bit right....
  • i must confess I did think a few of them looked like great ideas...
  • I read somewhere that olive oil is better for you uncooked (eg when you put it on salads)..something to do with how your body digests the fat. Has anyone else heard this? Also, on an unrelated note- I've started eating lots of oily fish (herring, mackerel, salmon) I've cut out red meat and others fatty foods...but it means…
  • I had a big green salad with chopped avocado, cucumber and smoked salmon and a roll mop herring.. and a low fat chocolate mousse yum
  • wow great job! that's amazing work  :drinker: when was the first photo taken?
  • wow, that's quite a diverse response. I guess it really does depend on each person and you cant go too much by height. I just want to be under 140 lbs for the first time since I was 18! (even if it's just a couple of ounces)
  • I think so:smile:
  • ahoy hoy! Im in London
  • Thanks. That really does help. I think it's just a case of being really angry at myself for breaking..but staying angry is self indulgent and counterproductive. I'm just going to have a really good week this week!
  • you're right. I should just suck it up and log it all. Today's a new day and it's a salad day !! Thank you all for your support- this really is the best community ever xx :flowerforyou:
  • Welcome back! I'm a returning wagontumbler too! This time I'm never logging off

  • Cool. Good results! I can see how having the added obligation to eat well (for fear of side effects) would be a great motivation. I think I read an article recently about Alli where the journalist who tried it said it's secret was fear!

  • I think you are right. People dont do the research/follow the instructions correctly and end up with terrible results. I dont think my BMI is high enough to get it anyway here in the UK. My hubby's is but he never has any problem getting rid of the weight when he commits to diet and excercise (which he is doing- I'm very…

  • Sod the nutritionist- we all know whats what- easy on the fats, sugar and salt- muchos on the veggies and fruit and water- dont go over the recommended calorie amount. Unless you think you may have allergies I would knock it on the head (metaphorically) MFP is a tool to re-educate how we think about food and eating…
  • I've just made some quite tasty no fat hummus! It's quite garlicky... so you can adjust that to taste. 2 cans cooked chickpeas 4 tsps lemon juice 1 small onion 3 cloves garlic 2 birds eye chillies Water (keep adding to get consistency you want (but not too much- its never going to be as smooth as if you use olive oil) 1tsp…
